Woo new thread.

bunnykins123 · 28/11/2022 13:00

@FfayeN thanks for the new thread! Is Brosens for immunology or ivf? I would just go with the flow, I read so many women successfully get pregnant after planning for ivf so you never know 🤷‍♀️ yeh I think there is 2 measurements and in the UK they use p/mol or something like that. If you use the US one then you basically look infertile as it's a much lower range!

@LuckyMoonstone how long usually is your luteal phase? I don't buy into eating healthy - I did all that and it still didn't work 😂

MrsC2018 · 28/11/2022 13:09

@FfayeN yes - my first was conceived naturally then my second took a looooong time. Fully investigated and was unexplained infertility, but took 4 years and 5 rounds of IVF. Then when she was a year old I caught naturally with my son, but miscarried him in April at 16wk, then caught naturally again with my daughter in July but miscarried her in October, again at 16 weeks. My journey has been horrendous, but I I've always known it's not over yet I guess. Ask away if you have any IVF questions, I had a lot!

emhope · 28/11/2022 13:23

@FfayeN thanks for setting up new thread, hopefully it’s lucky number 14 for all of us 🍀

@MrsC2018 oh gosh you really have been through a difficult journey💕

Update from me - surgery rang OH and after weeks of delays the sample kit has FINALLY arrived for him to go and get!! Hopefully he can get that done in next couple of days..anyone know what abstinence period is recommended before giving his sample?

I also had a massive temp drop this morning so looks like AF will be here tomorrow or Wednesday .. would mean a much shorter 25/26 day cycle. Unusual for me as it’s always 28 days 🤷🏻‍♀️ but will be glad to move onto next cycle now

FfayeN · 28/11/2022 13:50

@bunnykins123 he is for immunology and endometrium lining receptivity!
Yeah I thought I was 0.36, which actually translates to about 2.5, I was a little relieved doing the conversion! But yes I have heard of so many that then fall when threatened with IVF, our bloody bodies 🤣.
@MrsC2018 i really feel for you, none of this is easy and all our journies are so different, but equally as draining! Thank you, if we get to that stage I will definitely start asking a load of questions!
@emhope I think it's normally 2-3 days for optimal results xxx

@bunnykins123 before I lost my baby in January it was the standard 14 days, now it’s 10 days at best, occasionally it has been shorter. It’s starting to really worry me.

Babydustmamma · 28/11/2022 15:10

@LuckyMoonstone im with you there lovely. Before my mc in June I always had 12-14 day luteal phases. Since the mc they’ve been getting shorter and now regularly about 8 days! Really frustrating as I know how important the luteal phase is.

have you found anything that works in extending? I’ve been using the Mira app and my progesterone levels seem fine, so I don’t understand the shift :( x

FfayeN · 28/11/2022 16:35

@LuckyMoonstone I have faith that once your hormones are more settled your LP will be longer. I was having 17-20 day cycles when mine was at its worst. They're now in the main 27-30 days xx

OP posts:
FfayeN · 28/11/2022 16:37

@Babydustmamma have you had your general bloods checked hun? That would be my first step. If they are normal you could try seed cycling or Myo-inositol, they're both meant to help regulate cycles (just avoid the inositol if you have low AMH) xx

OP posts:
Babydustmamma · 28/11/2022 17:05

@FfayeN yeah! They all came back as average/good. Have had the full works now and seems to be no reason they can see for the shift!

whats AMH?♥️

LuckyMoonstone · 28/11/2022 18:33

@FfayeN I hope you are right! Thank you for the reassurance. I’m going to add vitamin C to my daily routine as well as what I already take lol
@Babydustmamma I tried Agnes castus once which is meant to help but that was back when my cycles were all over the place and I was worried I might make them worse so I stopped taking it

Babydustmamma · 28/11/2022 18:47

@LuckyMoonstone its a horrible juggle isn’t it! On one hand I want to add things in but on the other I want to believe my body knows best and will figure it out. I suppose you can lose confidence in your body knowing best because of mc, so part of the process is building that trust back up again

but at this point I’m taking everything under the sun it feels like 😂♥️

LuckyMoonstone · 28/11/2022 18:54

@Babydustmamma i get exactly what you mean! I’ve been taking coq-10 or whatever it’s called to help bring ovulation forward but it didn’t help last cycle

Babydustmamma · 28/11/2022 18:56

@LuckyMoonstone ahhh I’ve just started this cycle! I was trying to eat loads of salmon before but I’m hoping this is just as good because I’m getting sick of it 😂

I’ve also heard vitex is really good for bringing ov forward and lengthening LP so I’ve started that this month too! Fingers crossed :)

what cycle day are you on?

FfayeN · 28/11/2022 19:05

@Babydustmamma AMH is your ovarian reserve. Have a little read of Myo-inositol it maybe worth a go, I read about it in 'it starts with the egg'. I got mine from Natures Best and it's really easy to add to the day, in hot drinks or whatever. Seed cycling also seemed to work for me but I had to check everyday what I was meant to be adding 🤣.
@LuckyMoonstone I didn't realise coq10 affected the cycle I just thought it was meant to improve egg quality xx

OP posts:
Babydustmamma · 28/11/2022 19:08

@FfayeN i definitely need to read that! Ahhhh I’ve not done seed cycling yet actually, good to know you found it useful! I wonder if there’s an app that can remind you what seeds for which day! 😍

MrsC2018 · 28/11/2022 19:08

Honestly, I've fallen down this rabbit hole so many times. Literally spent £100 a month on supplements for months at a time to support the IVF (that didn't work) of course, the one that did, the embryo was such poor quality I didn't even plan to transfer it and took nothing and prepared in no way.
I stand by taking those supplements at the time though, because it gave me a sense of control and like I was doing something to help myself. Just don't spend anything you can't afford would be my caution really. I only take folic acid now 🤷‍♀️

FfayeN · 28/11/2022 19:16

@Babydustmamma I ended up printing the phases from a photo I found on Google 🤣. Xx

OP posts:
LuckyMoonstone · 28/11/2022 20:27

@FfayeN I read it helps with a short LP but I can’t remember exactly what I read about it 🙈
@Babydustmamma only day 3 so I’ve got ageeeees yet

Babydustmamma · 28/11/2022 20:30

@LuckyMoonstone ahhh man! I’m on CD 11 but have been ovulating on CD 20 since mc, so a while yet too 💤

LuckyMoonstone · 28/11/2022 22:40

@Babydustmamma oh what I would give to ovulate on CD 20 😂

Cheetocat · 28/11/2022 23:09

Woke up today with sore boobs, it feels surreal, they feel the exactly the same as they did during the pregnancy that I lost, I feel like I've been teleported back to the day I got that bfp in March. I'm only around 6dpo but I did a test anyway and of course it was negative, it's silly to test so early.

Babydustmamma · 29/11/2022 09:14

@LuckyMoonstone when have you been ovulating?♥️ It’s all so much isn’t it!

Babydustmamma · 29/11/2022 09:15

@Cheetocat tentatively hopeful for you, but that sounds complex to navigate ♥️ Sending love

Milamight · 29/11/2022 09:18

Hello, can I join? I had a miscarriage in June and feeling so down that I'm not pregnant before the due date which I know is silly. I think I'm eating too much sugar comfort eating and its not helping! I really thought I was pregnant this month 😫
