@bringmearainbow hmmm I'm not sure.
When the miscarriage was confirmed by the EPU they said monitoring only occured after the 2nd or 3rd miscarriage.

@MrsC2018 I tried to self refer to a midwife last year when I first found out and had trouble with it. I hope I have a better time this time round. I was ringing my GP surgery to arrange an appointment but ever heard anything back which is so weird.

bringmearainbow · 05/02/2023 19:55

@Phoenixwings1989 hmm That's a shame I think you just have to take each day as it comes some are better than others ❤️ def ring the gp it all depends on your area mine have a self referral form on the hospital website you don't go through the gp at all but the go reception will tell you what to do

@MrsC2018 I know there's always something that reminds you everytime I look at our wedding pictures I remember I was 9 weeks 🙈 so I've been pretty busy giving my little side business a refresh and I launched the new website this weekend so I've got plenty to keep me occupied

MrsC2018 · 05/02/2023 20:32

@bringmearainbow ahh that little one will always be with you on your wedding day ❤️ sometimes it's difficult reframing awful things, but I always try. At least when I lost my second baby, they then had each other. Now if I could just get one to term so my 2 year old has someone to play with! I've started reading this week, my brain is complete mush so I'm reading a book I've read before but it's distracting me and stopping me from spending too long on here and googling when I should get a 3+ etc. worrying won't change the outcome but it will change the journey so I'm trying my hardest to just be at peace with this ride. Some hours that's easier than others!

bringmearainbow · 06/02/2023 07:34

@MrsC2018 they will. I have a picture in my beside cabinet in a little memory box that the hospital gave me there's no way to know but I always feel like it was a little girl ❤️ I never got one with the second because we never saw the baby it just didn't develop enough to be seen. ahh it's so hard those bloody weeks indicators I know after my last one I was like I'm not going to bother with them but I probably will 🙄 love to throw money at pt it seems 🫣 you said it perfectly and that's all you have to do just try and be at peace with the ride.

3rd morning of dry mouth I tried to drink so much water yesterday I'll have to try better today 😅

MrsC2018 · 06/02/2023 08:42

@bringmearainbow I always know the sex of mine from early pregnancy, the only one I wasn't sure about was my first girl but the other 3 I knew and was correct. If you think she was a girl then she was 💕. I think this one's another girl, the girls make me more tired! I always set myself boundaries before getting pregnant, it's easier to stick to them when you're not in the thick of it. I have 2 weeks tests left, I'm 5 weeks today so will try and leave it until Wednesday but realistically I'm not expecting it to be 3+ until Thursday/Friday.
I'm also really bad with scans, so have one at 7 weeks and will try and leave it then until 12 weeks. All bets are off for 12 weeks plus though, I'm going to ask for weekly Doppler/scans I think and just hope they'll do that for me

Ooh dry mouth is classic pregnant for me along with blocked nose, but as we've had permanent colds since December I didn't notice anything in my TWW and genuinely didn't expect it to be positive. Fingers crossed for you, we're all due a bit of luck on this thread for sure!

Chellooo · 06/02/2023 11:44

Hi Ladies, I'm back...was part of some of the earlier chats as I had a mmc last year but took a step back for a few months to clear head and now ready to get back in the game.
Should be ovulating this weekend so planning a marathon lol but just wanted to say hello again - trying to see how ppl in the older chats have got on but there's so much to catch up on!

bringmearainbow · 06/02/2023 12:37

@MrsC2018 tbh I was convinced DS was a girl all the way through 😂 so wrong. And literally everyone of my friends I have guessed wrong so I don't hold out much hope that my guesses are gold but I just have this little feeling so I'm sticking with it 🙊

Oooh really I have such a snotty blocked nose but I just put it down to the after effects of a cold I had 2 weeks ago. Ive had dry mouth in one of my pregnancies but honestly last time I ovulated I had soooo many symptoms and they amounted to a bfn though I did pass retained product so there was no way anything would have implanted anyway

I think def ask for what you want I'm hoping mine stick to their word about closer monitoring 🤞🏼

@Chellooo welcome back lovely! Ahhh that's what I did last O date it timed in perfectly with going away So marathon it was 😂

Phoenixwings1989 · 06/02/2023 20:19

@bringmearainbow I self referred last night though wish I'd waited a bit longer now. I have been so tired today and headachey so just been taking it easy.

bringmearainbow · 07/02/2023 10:20

@Phoenixwings1989 ahhh I have always referred as soon as I have found out. Tbh even if it doesn't work out it's good to have a record of it so it can count if that makes sense. Just take it each day as it comes and listen to your body which is what you are doing by resting. We're here when you need to chat or rant or just writing things down helps you feel better sometimes.

Phoenixwings1989 · 07/02/2023 12:24

@bringmearainbow That's true. Last year when I was pregnant I tried to get to make an appointment with a midwife I never heard back. At least my records will be on the EPU system if they're ever needed.

I'm not cramping (I didn't cramp with my last pregnancy which resulted in miscarriage), so that's partly why I'm worrying so much. I have a bit of a headache still, and I'm a bit nauseous but apart from that I feel fine.

HayleyD93 · 07/02/2023 14:45

Could I get some advice please. I have the premom app and that placed me as ovulating on 4th February. Due to me being on holiday the week before I wasn't testing but the app has been pretty much spot on before I had CP at Xmas.
We BD on 4th, and I done a test strip on 5th just to check and had a good line, so done it again yesterday 6th to check it was going down and it showed darker so I've just done another one today and I would say the test line is about as dark as the control line and I've got loads of EWCM.
Does this mean I'm ovulating later than the app suggests. The app hasn't changed with me inputing the test results.
Don't think I will be able to get a BD in today

Thanks

bringmearainbow · 07/02/2023 14:55

@Phoenixwings1989 I've had 3 pregnancies and my symptoms have been different with all 3 it's hard but try and step away from comparing as I truly think they can just be all so different. I know it's a lot easier said than done though. How far are you now I can't remember?

@HayleyD93 I would say you are likely to be ovulating a little later than it's suggesting. I would carry on testing until they how low again

MrsJGrealish · 07/02/2023 16:54

@HayleyD93 the app won't change until they get a low reading..it's irritating🙄 xx

Phoenixwings1989 · 07/02/2023 20:37

@bringmearainbow I am 5+1 from what Flo tells me. Symptoms are still the same today - feeling very tired but next thing I know I'm not, excessively hungry, heartburn and still headachey.

MrsC2018 · 08/02/2023 09:12

@Phoenixwings1989 I'm 5+2 today based on my 30 day cycle but 5+4 based on the NHS 28 day cycle that everyone has 🙄 i echo what @bringmearainbow has said that every pregnancy is different, this is number 5 for me and they've all been entirely different. My losses were 16 weeks as well so I've done 4 first trimesters so whilst I can tell the boys from the girls, every single one has been slightly different for what the dominant symptom was - one sickness, one heartburn, one headaches, one hunger. The only thing I think I've had with them all is tiredness. It's so very difficult but my experience is that there's no point in relying on symptoms. I can't take my own advice though and have been very anxious with this one!

Got a 3+ today so will gladly put the pregnancy tests down now until the scan at 7 weeks, I'm literally shaking when I go back to read them so really not convinced that it's helping me really!
Still waiting on the post mortem results for little girl I lost in October - it's 16 weeks on Monday since I delivered her, apparently it's being chased weekly now but I'm terrified that it will take too long for the results for if there is something wrong to be able to help this baby 😭 what I'd do to have a lovely exciting pregnancy experience!! One day at a time I guess, today I'm just grateful it appears to be progressing and giving me a chance of a baby 🙏

@bringmearainbow how are you feeling?

bringmearainbow · 08/02/2023 10:45

@MrsC2018 ahhh yay for 3+ I think it's a good point to stop with the tests esp if they are not giving you the reassurance you need from it. I just won't buy anymore well unless I get a bfn then I'll have to 😂 but I do have a few in the drawer 🙈 not long to wait until 7 week scan 🤞🏼

I'm feeling ok having some odd symptoms for me that are making me feel a little bit hopeful but I just don't know I still think it's going to be a bfn tomorrow but also it's still only 11dpo tomorrow so then there's still some time 🤷🏼‍♀️ af is technically due tomorrow/Friday. I'm trying to just feel nothing very unsuccessfully 😂 so as not to feel too crushed

@Phoenixwings1989 do you think you will book an early scan?

Phoenixwings1989 · 08/02/2023 11:34

@MrsC2018 My body was still saying the pregnancy was progressing when in fact it wasn't, so I know what you mean. Symptoms aren't a marker by no means. 🙂
When I first found out on Sunday I wanted to go out and buy more tests to keep an eye on it but decided against it. If it isn't progressing again they'll still be positive what with my HCG levels being high right now. I'm sorry to read you had to deliver your baby at sixteen weeks. I hope those results will be with you soon.

@bringmearainbow I am not sure. I have medical trauma from when I was a teen (I was sexually abused and had to be examined rather forcefully so it makes things harder when it comes to internal scans and smears). I have terrible flashbacks and I'm a wreck for days on end.

bringmearainbow · 08/02/2023 13:16

@Phoenixwings1989 oh sorry to hear that lovely I would just wait for 12 week one then don't put yourself through anything you don't need to ❤️

SMG1992 · 08/02/2023 14:52

Hi All,
Really sorry and sad to hear of everyones MC stories.
I had a MMC 3 and a bit weeks ago, I have to go into EPU tomorrow for a scan as pregnancy tests are still showing positive (only slightly) but I was ovulating last week (According to CB tests) so I'm worried if I've managed to get pregnant again there may be an issue from the previous MC!
What a mess! I should have waited for a clear pregnancy test before trying, but it was the only thing that made me feel a bit of hope.

LMM91x · 08/02/2023 17:03

@SMG1992 helloo we’re on the same I think as I also had mc 3 and a bit weeks ago… and ovulated last week🤣. I’d say depending how ‘only just’ you mean there may be some residual hcg which doesnt necessarily mean retained product??? Mine were squinters by ovulation but if i really looked my line eyes would send me into orbit 🤣🤣🤣

hopefully nothing retained ans new pregnancy pending eh!!

@bringmearainbow 9dpo today and nothing to report, maybe my boobs are a tad sore but not really🤣🤣 which makes me think AF isn’t coming but as i’ve not had cycle since MC who has a bloody clue eh . I wish i’d taken more of a note of when I fell what I felt , i def recall vaguely having my least symptoms when i got bfp but now i’m second guessing🤣. Fingers crossed for a bfp for you tomorrowwww!!❤️

boysmum23 · 08/02/2023 17:27

hey, can i come in? i had a miscarriage 16th of january, it wasn't a planned pregnancy but now we've decided to give it another go, my AF hasnt arrived since my MC so no idea where i am in my cycle, im hoping i dont get an AF and a BFP instead 😄

bringmearainbow · 08/02/2023 17:29

@LMM91x so I got myself into a bit of a tizz today looking at my charts and stuff I think I O a bit later than I though and I think maybe today I'm only 9dpo so I'm going to leave testing until Sunday now. I don't want to guess if a yes or no I want a good clear cut line 😂 also if she's coming af might turn up by then 🤷🏼‍♀️ I've had a fair few symptoms which are unusual for me but I just can't say either way atm not feeling like it's a BFP but I think I've got myself into a bit of a funk today 🤦🏼‍♀️

LMM91x · 08/02/2023 18:58

@bringmearainbow YES to good clear cut lines all round 🤞🤞🤞. Your self control is one for the record books 👏🏻 it’s a good idea cos as you say AF will show and give your answer if not and you can maybe get a little tiny bit excited if she doesn’t!!

SMG1992 · 08/02/2023 19:17

@LMM91x You are right! We sound like we are in pretty much the same scenario! I'm only on 6dpo.
I'm hoping after a scan at EPU tomorrow they will be able to say that there is nothing retained and I'm all good, then I can start to be hopeful that the ovulation led to implantation but I'm worried to get my hopes up for now.

Good luck to both you and @bringmearainbow here's to hoping I'll join you both and we'll all have BFPs on those pregnancy tests next week!!!

SMG1992 · 08/02/2023 19:22

@boysmum23 - welcome! I'm sorry to hear about your MC, I had mine on the 16th too.
We were not "not trying" to get pregnant, but as soon as we found out we were everything slotted into place. Then to lose the baby can make you realise just how much you really wanted it.

You can ovulate 2 weeks after a MC and I ovualted last week after mine so you may well have already ovulated and fingers crossed for a BFP instead of AF!!
