Hi ladies, I hope everyone is well. I had my 8 week scan yesterday and there's is a wriggly little one in there with a strong heartbeat so we're delighted. I'm 42 now and was 40 when I had my first daughter. I'm going to step back from this thread now but wanted to say good luck and baby dust to everyone!!!

I'm 5 days away from possible AF.
I think I haven't been successful again 😩
Feeling emotional and anxiety...
I turn 44 in mid July so I'm running out of time.
Kelb79 · 30/04/2022 13:28
Great news @MariaDingbat 🥳🥳❤️❤️ Congratulations!!
im CD3, AF got me. But I think the acupuncture is helping as I’ve had no headaches or cramps and my flow is much healthier! Here’s hoping!!!
today is the due date of my angel baby 😞
heartbroken but I think I had my major meltdown last weekend so I’m doing better than I thought.
I just messaged the fertility clinic in Spain that we’re looking at 🫣🫣
October1979 · 30/04/2022 17:05
@Kelb79 it's such a hard thing I reached my due date on March 10th and know how it feels. Sending hugs 🤗. Well done messaging the clinic. It's a big step. I think taking positive steps when we feel we have no control is good. This ttc is so hard xx
October1979 · 30/04/2022 17:06
@oxfordinwinter85 stay positive your not out yet. We all have our fingers 🤞for you xx
DOB78 · 30/04/2022 20:04
@Kelb79 big hugs to you today.
@Oxfordwinter you ain't out till the red witch arrives! At 44 I thought I was running out of time too but there's always options. We've been looking into egg donor IVF as a fall back plan on e I've got OH on board
Marvellouslymadmum · 30/04/2022 20:05
@MariaDingbat congratulations that's amazing news! Good luck with everything
I am currently cd64 and just waiting for the day af arrives!
DOB78 · 30/04/2022 20:17
@marvellouslymadmum good grief that's a long cycle! Hope you're feeling alright x
oxfordinwinter85 · 01/05/2022 08:23
Thank you for your kind messages.
It's been so hard to last few days as a friend announced she was pregnant with twins. Obviously delighted for her but admit cried on way home....I must be expecting AF anytime !
Can anyone advise how to temp and use ovulation tests successfully?
My cycle is between 24 and 25 days ..according to Flo app I ovulate Day 11. I think DH really need have more goes! 4 a month not enough at all during fertile period.
I'm clutching at straws aren't I ? 😂
October1979 · 01/05/2022 09:24
@oxfordinwinter85 I use an Ava bracelet to temp. You wear it as you sleep and it tracks it and predicts for you. I also use Clearblue ovulation sticks and test am and pm from 7dpo. Between the two methods I can identify my fertile week. It's a hard journey x

Hi All
Can I join you? I’ve lurked here for a while, plucking up courage to join in! I’ve found a lot of strength from these threads and your support for each other, so thank you.
My story: I’m 41 TTC number 1, cycle 4 just started. I’ve been off the pill 14 months with a just “see what happens” attitude and nothing did. Started “actively” trying 3 months ago after realising what I should have been doing all along! I.m using OPKs and BBT tracking, plus what feels like 50 supplement tablets a day after buying It Starts With the Egg.
Tracking has shown a bit of a problem in that my luteal phase is around 8 days, spotting starts 8dpo with proper AF from 9/10dpo. Cycle length 27 days ish. I think I’m ovulating according to OPK and BBT. Looking online around short luteal phase, it’s either a weak ovulation or lack of progesterone post ovulation or maybe both.
I am kicking myself now for naively not being proactive earlier. I didn’t worry about it not happening as assumed it wouldn’t be instant at my age.
I need to bite the bullet and call GP to start the process of working out what can be happening, but I’m dreading it. I know it can be such a mixed bag in terms of GP support, knowledge and even reaction.
Thanks for reading and good luck to all x

[email protected] I think of you took progesterone from 4dpo - 14dpo and came off it if you have a negative pregnancy test it would help. I took progesterone for the last 3 cycles and it has lengthened my lp. Although my reason was not for this. I just wanted to try something different and see if it would help. My GP was hopeless. I hope you have a better experience than me x
