I'm sure this little Beanie will stick, have faith and enjoy.

Christmas was good in the Rah house hold. I got lots of gifts and got a special pressie from Dubai.

I have left my laptop at the office, hence why I have not been on line. But nipped on DH, but it seems painful to him! GRRR

Hope everyone had a lovely Xmas and wishing you all a great new years eve - of course no drinking now for Thinking and Gracie... but for the rest of us.. well a few glasses won't hurt!

Take Care and speak soon X

Gracie14 · 29/12/2007 21:29

Thinking - If everything goes well due date will be late august/early sept but still only 4+5 today so have such a long way to go. But trying to think positive. Hope your well

Ready · 31/12/2007 13:15

Got a great big bottle of disarronno for christmas, so fully intend to throw some of that down my neck this evening.

FurtivelyPosting · 01/01/2008 12:10

Congratulations, Gracie - what wonderful news!

Mind if I join in? I'm hoping to conceive this year. Have been temping for a while with another website (one that's specifically for charting) and started using OPKs for the first time last cycle.

Just started a new cycle today so I feel all new year, new cycle, new start, fingers crossed.

Did everyone enjoy NYE? I had a nice night in with the family, which was fun.

scorpio1 · 01/01/2008 12:29

congrats Gracie

Ready · 01/01/2008 18:45

Welcome to the thread FurtivelyPosting - Had a lovely NewYears thanks. Sounds like you did too. Here's to 2008

minxi · 02/01/2008 08:58

Happy New Year girls....

I am on cd8 today and no action with dh as yet this cycle!!! too many family around and too many sick days with colds and coughs etc and now he has a shoulder muscle thing going on!! oh well we have the weekend I guess.... Had very busy christmas and new year but got some lovely things and very happy and settled in new home!

Hi Ready and Rah - hope all is well...how was the move Ready?

Welcome furtively...hope this is a good year for you....

Hi Nappy wherever you are...

RahRah1 · 02/01/2008 10:58

Welcome FurtivelyPosting...

Hope everyone is well.

CD3 for me today... bloody came on new years eve! GRRRR

So off to the hospital again this month, hopefully with a little more success than last month

FurtivelyPosting · 02/01/2008 11:54

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!

I know how you feel, Rah - I started spotting on new year's eve and then came on with a vengeance on new year's day, so it's CD2 for me today. Bit of a downer but I'm trying to think along the lines of new year, new cycle, new start etc etc.

RahRah1 · 02/01/2008 12:42

Sorry to hear that you got yours 2.. but I did think that I managed to squeeze it into 2007, so I now have it in my head I will not get a period in 2008 at all! That would be great for both of us!!!! Bring it on!

Ready · 02/01/2008 17:16

Minxi - The move went relatively well. A few little glitches with the removal men. But I complained and got £100 back, so every cloud
Fingers crossed for you, get dh to lay back and enjoy if his shoulder is hurting

Rah and FP (hope you don't mind the abbreviation?) - fingers crossed for you both. Start the new year a fresh - I am liking the thought of no periods in 2008! I am CD13 today - so right at the business phase

Fingers crossed all round!! Should we do a rollcall???

minxi · 02/01/2008 19:43

Furtively - cd2 LP
Rah - cd3 LP
Minxi - cd8 LP14
Ready - cd13 LP

Couldn't remember the rest of the details....
Ready DH shoulder wasn't too bad this morning

Rah good luck at the hospital this month... and yes no periods for 2008 !! plus all 3 of us have moved and they do say new house new baby!!

I have started my health and fitness regime today - which I know half the population have but have been so slack on the exercise last few months need to get back to it...do not want to be sluggish and frumpy when I fall pg!! Oh I am soo optimistic!! Am also calling reflexology lady tomorrow !! Making appointments asap!

Here's to 2008...

Ready · 02/01/2008 21:04

Furtively - cd2 LP
Rah - cd3 LP
Minxi - cd8 LP14
Ready - cd13 LP12

Minxi - Glad to hear the shoulder was not hampering the effort ... I actually lost weight over xmas, which was a massive surprise - but I still want to lose some more, and now that we are more settled it'll be great to start working out properly again. I have convinced myself that getting slimmer and fitter might be the key to conceiving. Am I daft?

Talking of reflexology... have a little dilemma. A friend of the family is a reflexologist, and part of me wonders if I should go to her and ask about fertility reflexology, or do you think I should steer well clear from it in case she can't keep it to herself? I suppose my doubts should answer my own question, but just wondered what others thought??

FurtivelyPosting · 02/01/2008 21:39

Ready - abbreviate away! My name is a bit of mouthful/typing fingerful!

With regard to the roll call, am I right in thinking that LP refers to luteal phase length? If so, then;

Furtively - cd2 LP13
Rah - cd3 LP
Minxi - cd8 LP14
Ready - cd13 LP12

If not, please excuse my ignorance!

Ready · 02/01/2008 21:57

FP - spot on with lp you'll soon be banging out all the abbreviations ... I started my MN life as Ready4Motherhood - and it soon became obvious that it wasn't going to last - and I have been Ready (literally) ever since

FurtivelyPosting · 02/01/2008 23:06

Shortening my name is a good idea but not so sure I want to be known as 'furtive' - sounds a little bit dodgy!

Best stick with FP, I reckon!

Ready · 03/01/2008 00:26

How about FurPost perhaps not. FurPo ??

bcsnowpea · 03/01/2008 07:27

Hi everyone!
Not yet officially trying (due for next contraceptive shot on the 5th -although obviously not having it), but thinking about it a lot.
Very happy to have found this thread - hope I can join you all in conceiving in '08 !!!

Eleveld · 03/01/2008 08:48

Same here!

Have just started trying and, before reading this site, had no idea about best time of the month, signs to watch for etc etc.

Obviously getting pregnant is not as easy as I thought! Have spent years trying to avoid it and am now desperate for it to happen!

RahRah1 · 03/01/2008 09:23

Welcome Eleveld & bcsnowpea, I hope your TTC path is a short one. Just ask anything if you want any info and we will try our best to help.

Ready... A reflexologist should be a professional and therefore not disclose any information given to them. Its a good idea to go with a treatment with some one you trust and can confine in. Is she this kind of person or do you think she is too much of a gossip? If you do decide to go with her I would re-enforce the fact that it is completely confidential.

Just booked in for my next scan and they will start scanning on the 9th.... fingers crossed. The egg this month has been called Isabella..

minxi · 03/01/2008 10:03

FP - cd3 LP13
Rah - cd4 LP
Minxi - 35.69 cd9 LP14 ttc 17th cycle
Ready - cd14 LP12

Welcome to Eleveld and bcsnowpea....good luck with ttc....

snowpea - is it the depo contraceptive you were going to stop ?

Ready Like Rah I would want complete confidence of confidentiality - especially if it is not common knowledge - most people I know do know that I want another baby but it is not talked about in an every day conversation - as its been 3 years people just occasionally ask am I still trying and I say yes - otherwise one of my friends may see me on cd1 - and I might then end up in floods of tears in front of them - which I hate doing so do try to avoid the talks too.... I just want to be able to say today is the day I got a bfp!!! and obviously for those who haven't had their first its worse... so for you make sure you discuss it first or find someone who doesn't know you - which in some ways is more refreshing as you can just talk away...

Rah hope Isabella becomes real...roll on the 9th January...x

Anyway girls I must get of mn my boys back to school today and I must get house cleaned!! DH off sick with flu thing now - what is going on ?!!! This is my year to definitely focus and sickness and pain is not going to stop me!!!

Ready · 03/01/2008 10:04

Rah - Go Isabella Go I think you are right about my family friend, she does like a gossip, but I doubt that she would be like that about my personal situation. Definitely something to think about.

Welcome aboard Eleveld and bcsnowpea - I second what Rah says, ask anything and we will do our best to help you out.

I've been trying a fair while now, so have done my share of researching the subject
