Thank you @Canadadarlingg I After the dissapointment and stress I just really didn't want to waste my time and more dissapointment by going to the GP and being turned away for another 6 months or so. I knew you would be the ladies to ask!

Canadadarlingg · 13/05/2021 11:29

@BellaBella1984 also you said you're 36? I'm not sure if it's different in different countries but I'm pretty sure after 35 they advise you to see a fertility specialist after 6 months of ttc anyway. So fingers crossed your GP can help you with this :)

Loulou237 · 13/05/2021 12:01

@gizmo167 it’s crazy how worried we can be about everything especially after a loss. We worry when there aren’t symptoms and when there are! I’ve recently had a molar and they are so so rare, it’s far more likely that it’s a healthy pregnancy for you! Have you had a scan yet? Maybe it’s twins!? Xxx

catinthehat12 · 13/05/2021 12:06

Thanks all! Will keep you updated. I know what you mean @Canadadarlingg, I wasn’t going to waste my FRERs but now regret it as I can’t be sure. It’s a very faint line but there. I don’t think I will have even ovulated at that low peak I had as that would only make me 7 dpo today, I got my positive yesterday (apparently 6dpo) but it must have been earlier if this is a real pregnancy. The earliest I DTD was Monday 3rd May, so must have ovulated basically then for me to be getting a positive pregnancy test by yesterday surely?! I OPK tested 3-4 times a day, (I am a fiend for peeing on a stick) so surely didn’t miss it?

I am staying cautious for this reason, it’s so unlikely to be a new pregnancy but not impossible. I am going to monitor and will let you know.

bubblybrit · 13/05/2021 13:19

Thanks to all who responded. Didn’t dtd at all over fw as DH still suffering from reaction after Covid jab. Feels like such a wasted month but nothing I can do about it now.

Think I’m a bit angry as he hasn’t even acknowledged that we have missed out on an opportunity. Wouldn’t mind as much if he said ‘really sorry but just feeling awful’ but nope....actually doesn’t care less. Aargh!

gizmo167 · 13/05/2021 14:38

@Loulou237 yes youre right hun, its a constant worry! After 2 mc's and given my age its like I'm convinced something is wrong! I had that little bit of spotting last Saturday and that along with the constant nausea and headaches I think I'm just over worrying but reading up on everything just adds to it! OMG twins I hope not lol!

susiebluebell · 13/05/2021 15:23

@BellaBella1984

Hi I haven't had time to go through the whole thread so sorry if this has already been addressed. In terms of counting months for IVF, will I have to reset the clock after my miscarriage? TTC 18 months total but only 6 since MC. I hadn't previously considered IVF, so yet to discuss it with my GP, but at 36 and with no children it's something I've started to think about lately. Any advice welcome, thank you.
Hi, perhaps @RichmondLady1981 can chime in with some info on this?

And @gizmo167 how lovely to already be past 7 weeks! The worry must be hard 💕 I've got everything crossed for you x

Loulou237 · 13/05/2021 15:27

@gizmo167 yeah it must be so hard just trying to will the time away so you’re out of the danger zone. Hang in there you haven’t got long to go!! Are you having an early scan at all? Xxx

gizmo167 · 13/05/2021 15:31

@Loulou237 I have to ring for my blood results tomorrow, although not sure what they were checking for, I went bc of nausea/sickness so hoping maybe hcg levels would be high if anything is wrong??? I may ask for the midwife to give me a call to see what I can do about earlier scans!

Loulou237 · 13/05/2021 15:37

@gizmo167 oh at least you will get some answers tomorrow then and yes if it was me an early scan would definitely put my mind to rest. Hope the worrying eases up, it definitely sounds like a healthy pregnancy Smile xxx

RichmondLady1981 · 13/05/2021 16:29

@SLCxxx I spoke to my consultant about aspirin when pregnant. There’s now as much research to show it can cause harm to a pregnancy rather than support it so I would definitely speak to someone before taking it. From what I gather, for those who it will benefit, it’s to be taken once you get your BFP. Aspirin (for some people) can thin the blood to allow a more efficient blood flow through the placenta to the baby. But for some, the blood can become too thin and can cause bleeds. Definitely seek advice. 😊

RichmondLady1981 · 13/05/2021 16:38

Hi @susiebluebell nice to catch up here! How are you?
I used to listen to a fertility app and there were some women with the elongated cycle issue. Many of them found to have a harmless cyst that was hanging around, secreting progesterone which elongated their cycles. Easily dealt with and diagnosed by a scan. Worth a shot? Hope it gets sorted.

@HappyVibes so great to hear you’re doing well! Exciting. X

@Mustkeepgoing2. I remember when I was having my HCG levels monitored there were lots of ladies saying their levels slowed down a few times and then caught up again. How many weeks are you? If it was an ectopic you’d be feeling lots of pain? Any shoulder pain at all?

@BellaBella1984 Hi I recently went through IVF. What do you mean about resetting the clock for IVF after miscarriage? You will be given synthetic drugs so that the specialists control your cycle. So it doesn’t really matter where you are currently in your cycle. Pls do ask any questions. Happy to help. Smile

RichmondLady1981 · 13/05/2021 16:40

@gizmo167 congrats on your BFP. How far are you? 😊

davidrosejumper · 13/05/2021 17:27

Hi everyone, would you mind if I join? I am almost 37, ttc #1. We lost two pregnancies in the past year of ttc, one at 8 weeks and the second at 23 weeks. Having had a couple of AFs since our last loss, we hope to start ttc again from this month onwards. I am not feeling super up for it yet, as our last loss really affected me badly, but time is not on my side. Having some companionship and mutual handholding in this journey from people who 'get' it, would be wonderful. Wishing BFPs and healthy pregnancies for you all.

Loulou237 · 13/05/2021 17:47

Hi @davidrosejumper so sorry to hear your story. I really hope you have a healthy pregnancy soon. I’m also 37 and I know how you feel about the clock ticking! We still have a few years yet though. Welcome to the group, all the ladies on here are lovely xxx

davidrosejumper · 13/05/2021 18:04

Thank you @Loulou237, that is very kind! I have been reading the conception boards in the past few weeks, and am happy I finally created an account to participate.

MammaJ21 · 13/05/2021 19:17

@Marvellouslymadmum AHH I know! I think I'm not liking it either....

Aww bless you @gizmo167 hope everything is ok!

@Canadadarlingg it sounds like you covered the most fertile days so fingers crossed!!
Yes it's a pain. Just got a 0 even though the like is clear as day...then did the same one and got 0.5 something. The line is I'd say almost as dark as the control! So 0.5 seems low if nearly at peak? What is classed as 'high' does anyone know?

Trouble is hubby is feeling rubbish after his covid jab...so not sure we're gonna be able to dtd tonight..or even tomorrow...or however long he feels crap for. did the night before last but that's prob too early. argh. always something in the way!

Canadadarlingg · 13/05/2021 19:43

@davidrosejumper hi so sorry that you've had to go through those losses. I think this group really helps though as we are all going through the same thing

@MammaJ21 I would say 0.5 sounds accurate because I would look at my strips and think "that's definitely got to be high it's so dark" but it only classes as high if it's as dark/ darker than the control. If you haven't been already I'd start testing twice/ 3 times a day now that it's getting darker so that you don't miss your peak. Here's a pic of mine if that's any help.
That's so frustrating when life gets in the way, but if you haven't got your peak yet it means you've got at least another day or 2 before you need to BD so fc he feels better by then. If not he needs to suck it up lol

Canadadarlingg · 13/05/2021 19:45

@MammaJ21 oh dear won't let me post a pic as this is a new acc🤦🏼‍♀️

susiebluebell · 14/05/2021 07:03

Thanks for popping in @RichmondLady1981 Hope you are well too? I didn't know about the cysts, but have now read up on them, and will certainly be mentioning it to the GP when I go. Would be a simple solution to what seems like a massive problem to me now. I just want a period, if I can't have a bfp! 😄 Xx

RichmondLady1981 · 14/05/2021 07:36

@susiebluebell def worth asking. :)

I’m ok thank you. I’m 10 weeks tomorrow but still very anxious about little things like if I don’t feel strong nausea or tiredness, I’m convinced somethings wrong. Have a scan on Monday which will let me know what’s what. Have been working at school since after Easter which has been a struggle as no one knows (apart from the head) and I get so tired and have been running to the loo in reaction to the strong cooking smells. Can’t wait for half term in two weeks. Although the distraction of being busy does help at times.

Have got 12 weeks scan booked over half term along with harmony blood tests so lots of information coming our way. It’s weird as I fell pregnant in my March/April cycle which was exactly one year after (almost to the day) when I last fell pregnant last time and had my MMC in summer. So it feels like I’m reliving the pregnancy again going into the summer. Trying to have a more positive outlook.

I’ve found that no matter what stage you’re at in the TTC journey, there’s always something to worry about! 🤪😩

Enough stress talk from me. HAPPY FRIDAY LADIES! ❤️

gizmo167 · 14/05/2021 15:09

Just checking in, hope everyone is well x

Dr's surgery said bloods & urine ok, looks though like they were only checking sodium levels & anything that would point to dehydration so doesn't give me any more insight about the pregnancy ! Aw well I guess I can ring the midwife next week to get a call back x

Loulou237 · 14/05/2021 15:29

@gizmo167 could you tell a little white lie and say the spotting you had last week was a bit more and they will give you a scan? In the meantime try not to worry!

@RichmondLady1981 is right we are all always worried about something! Happy Friday to you all Smile xxx

susiebluebell · 14/05/2021 20:31

Yes so right, there's something at every stage to worry about 🤪

So glad things are progressing for you, RichmondLady. Believe me when I say I would give my right arm to be nauseous at 10 weeks pregnant like you are Grin

Happy weekend everyone! X

Marvellouslymadmum · 14/05/2021 21:58

@RichmondLady1981 @gizmo167 I'm glad everything is going well for you both so far, so nice to have some positive stories for a change!
