Thanks everyone for the reassurance xx

Haven't had any more spotting & feeling usual nausea & sickness, no cramping either, just hoping its nothing to worry about. We had sex yesterday morning so maybe that was what caused the bleed in the evening??

Loulou237 · 09/05/2021 15:42

@gizmo167 that will definitely be it! Xx

Canadadarling · 09/05/2021 17:37

@gizmo167 yes that's probably it! I have been told the cervix can change during pregnancy and becomes more sensitive to sex. So many women have random spotting in pregnancy and it works out fine :) But i know how difficult it is not to worry about every little thing

MammaJ21 · 09/05/2021 18:00

Glad things seem ok now @gizmo167

Can anyone help me with the prenom app? Ive read on here somewhere about it so just downloaded it. Do people find it helpful/accurate/useful?
I'm on cd 9 or 10, AF stopped yesterday (first after MC at beg.of April) . Just did an opk to see and see hope prenom works.Sorry for tmi but I dipped it into the container of urine, then when I lifted it up there was a stringy bit hanging off the opk...like ewcm I think.... it looked like that anyway. (I'm not alwyas sure about my cm but I now lots of you are pros!) but it was that I'm sure. anywya I dipped a new opk test in as that one didn't seem to be working. But the line is very faint.I thought if that was ewcm it'd be a darker line?

Any tips/info on using the prnom app would be gratefully appreciated. I just uploaded the pic and it says low 0.9 I think. I clicked the 'others' as I think my test are ovusense and not on there .

X

bez91 · 09/05/2021 18:34

@MammaJ21 I've been using it for the last couple of month for the cheapy OPKs. For after I've got peak on Clearblue because I've been having multiple surges. I don't find it great to be honest, you can take the same photo and get 5 different measurements 🤦🏼‍♀️ sounds like it could have been ewcm. If it's any conciliation I get that throughout even with negative OPKs and think it's completely normal 😊

SLCxxx · 09/05/2021 18:53

@Marvellouslymadmum exactly 🤷🏼‍♀️ Maybe men are all just talk for the lads 🤣🤣🤣

@gizmo167 so glad! Pregnancy hormones make the cervix very vascular which is why the cervix can bleed easy after intercourses.. sounds like this may be the case ☺️

@MammaJ21 I use the Premom app with the easy@home strips and I find it very helpful. When your fertile window begins your oestrogen increases which is what creates the EWCM which tends to start before LH hits its peak. It’s all confusing isn’t it. But also just like @bez91 I get EWCM at times I’m really not meant to have it.. and don’t have it when I’m meant to 🤣 just BD anyway 🤣

Canadadarling · 09/05/2021 19:38

@MammaJ21 I've only started using premom for this cycle but I was getting so frustrated with it, I was getting low results of 0.2 even though I had ewcm about 3 days ago and I thought it wasn't working. Well today I finally got my peak on CD21 so I think you just need to be patient and keep testing preferably twice a day and hopefully it should show a peak soon :)

catinthehat12 · 09/05/2021 20:19

@Canadadarling Yay for the positive OPK! I feel like the positive OPK is the final part of feeling back to normal post miscarriage.

Still nothing for me, CD22 now, still holding out. Possibly CD18 was my peak, but at only 0.77, I doubt it? Especially as I am ranging between 0.1-0.5 throughout each day. I am peeing on a stick so much at the moment as so desperate to see my peak, but I think that doesn’t help as I get such a variety of results? My highest results are usually at 6am too, which is probably to do with the concentration. I feel like my oestrogen is high from my usual symptoms like a good sense of smell, but no LH peak as of yet.

@MammaJ21 Premom takes some getting used to! I think the first month using it, it’s worth just dtd every other night while you figure out how your own peak works! You sounds close though. Not sure if you mean 0.09 or 0.9 though, 0.9 is very almost peak!

Canadadarling · 09/05/2021 20:34

@catinthehat12 it has made me feel relieved that my body's working like it's supposed to. I definitely know how you feel I have been testing three times a day because I was so impatient to see my peak ! Hopefully yours is coming soon, it can take 6 weeks to get a period after mc so that would mean ovulating around CD28 (I think) so it could just be a bit later for you this cycle. Keep testing 🤞🏻 it comes soon

Acebobase · 09/05/2021 20:34

I'm back...
Recap: 20 month old daughter, ttc #2
Mc's - 12 Dec 20 12th week, 13 March 21 6th week and 6 May 21 7th week.
Feels surreal that the mc's keep happening and now referred to recurrent mc team so let's see how long that takes
Back to using Premom, Clue, POAS', BBT aka being neurotic
Needless to say, Wine has really helped this weekend

Haha yes you're right...0.09! woops!! but confussing with the ewcm that accompanied it. It seems I'd be a far way off ov then with that reading?

Part of me wishes we didn't get obsessed with all these things as they're such a headache..but then also want to use them to get an understanding of what's going ok.

Last monthinhad several positive opks (didn't have prenom app then only just got it) So I'm not sure how trustworthy they are..

Loulou237 · 09/05/2021 20:54

@Acebobase so sorry to hear that, I hope you’re ok, or as ok as you can be at the moment. I hope they get to the bottom of it and it’s something that can be sorted quickly. Drink all the wine xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/05/2021 21:03

@Canadadarling good luck!!

@gizmo167 that's good news! Glad everything seems ok again

@MammaJ21 I really don't get on with the Premom app, find it quite confusing and like @bez91 said it seems to keep giving different results

@SLCxxx yes I bet that's it! It's us women that have the higher sex drives really

@Acebobase so sorry you find yourself back here again. I do hope the multiple loss referal is quick for you and helpful. Hope you're ok

MammaJ21 · 09/05/2021 21:15

I think I'm finding it confussing after one use already. I guess I'll just see how I go but try to spot ewcm too.. although I don't find i get loads usually so not always easy to tell.

@Acebobase so sorry to hear this. Sending lots of love. Hope you get some tests/answers soon and that the next time is the one!

When do people think they usually ovulate? I know it's usually mid cycle but lots of people seem to be ovulating later on that I've read on threads too... I think I understand things then get confussed again. Trying to get my head around the luteal phase... so if you don't ov til cd20+ and have a 28day ish cycle...what does this mean?

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/05/2021 22:08

@MammaJ21 the first part of your cycle (follicular phase) can change most people's is in between 10-20 days with the exception of long cycles and it can change every month for some people, which is fine, the second half after ovulation (luteal phase) needs to be a minimum of 11 days I think because if it's less the egg doesn't have enough time to implant and it should be the same every month within a couple of days - so if it's 15 days it should always be 14-16 days (unless you're weird like me and it changes but it's not supposed to) if you ovulated late at 20+ days and your cycle was 28 days your Lp would be too short for implantation from my understanding. Hope that helps

Lollipop25 · 09/05/2021 22:39

God @Acebobase you've been through so much already, I'm so sorry. Your rainbow baby is waiting patiently for you💓

Ailie12 · 10/05/2021 07:14

The different readings given may be due to the methods of photo taking. As I know, the lighting, angle, and distance can affect the results, so I usually take the photos under the same conditions and only keep one quality picture of the same test.

MammaJ21 · 10/05/2021 08:19

@Marvellouslymadmum Thanks! I thought it was something like that. To be honest I'm not sure what my timings are! lastknth I had a positive opk after about 10 days of AF, then a meg then another few days of positives after that 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I'm guessing, well hoping, as I've caught and miscarried a couple of times that my phase timings are ok ish?! or is that the issue maybe? 🤔

@Ailie12 yes,I thought this too! not banking on it being a reliable tool but I think I'll still continue this month and just see out of interest if it correlates .

Anyone else expecting ov this week? I'll be mid cycle this week, so hoping.

bez91 · 10/05/2021 09:30

@MammaJ21 CD11 for me so ov should be here this week for me too but not expecting it, probably another anovulatory cycle. Doing CB digital OPKs and cheapy ones too and currently getting high on Clearblue and completely negative on the cheapy 😆 had a peak on the Clearblue at CD7 🤦🏼‍♀️ so wishing both of us a good egg on 🤞🏼

@MammaJ21 @bez91 I had 3 days of positives OPKs, yesterday being the very strongest, so I should be ovulating today/tomo.. soo kinda on par with you guys. My cycles are so irregular that I literally ovulate between day 14 and 25 🤷🏼‍♀️ So without OPKs I’m literally clueless and have no idea when my period is even due 🤣

MammaJ21 · 10/05/2021 15:53

@bez91 AHH so frustrating! You'd think you'd get similar results on both. So frustrating. I guess keep tracking and see if you get another peak.

@SLCxxx AHH, fingers crossed ov is about to happen! It's so annoying how it can vary so much so you can't make really sensible predictions on when you're ovulating.

Fingers crossed for everyone this cycle x

Twinkles18 · 10/05/2021 17:30

Hi girls hoping I can join this month! Had a mmc in January and bled for 2 months after so this is cycle 2 ttc 1 since miscarriage.
Started using OPKs this month and found my peak was yesterday (CD18 which is later than expected!) ..DTD every day the past week so hopefully covered on all basis 😂🤞
Any tips for getting through TWW would be appreciated, I am SO impatient😅

Marvellouslymadmum · 10/05/2021 19:06

@Canadadarling yes let's hope so!

@MammaJ21 I have similar issues with the opk so I temp as well and that confirms ovulation for me.

@Twinkles18 hi and welcome, sorry for your loss, a 2 month bleed must've been a nightmare!! I don't have many tips for the tww I'm afraid, I just try and get on with things as much as I can and avoid symptom
Spotting which is pretty much and impossible task even after 3years ttc lol and I never test until af is late unless I have to
Because of a medical appointment or something. Bfn are just too horrible!

catinthehat12 · 10/05/2021 20:06

Still no peak for me on CD23, with CD1 as day of miscarriage. More and more wondering if my peak was the low high(ish) value recording on CD17-18. I hope not as I only dtd once before then about (24-48 hours before). Would be my longest cycle for years (have tracked my period for almost 4-5 years) if I ovulate from now on, but so expected after a miscarriage I am sure.
