@SLCxxx don't be silly everyone learns from somewhere!

@HappyVibes aww glad to hear you're doing well

@bubblybrit it's so frustrating when they're not in the mood or feeling unwell! I had the same issue with my oh last month!

@bez91 that's great about the fertility clinic! Lolling at drugging the oh's 😂

susiebluebell · 11/05/2021 20:44

So pleased that you and baby girl are doing well @HappyVibes and I shall definitely be reading up on aspirin when the time comes.

I'm currently on a very boring cd37... several days longer than what is normal for me. I'm in denial but I know I should make an appointment with the GP to get me checked out. Need to know why my cycles are so variable and if I'm even ovulating - not been able to catch a peak on OPKs the past couple of months, just ups and downs.

Going to try and do it this week ladies, I just need a bit of cheerleading!

Marvellouslymadmum · 11/05/2021 21:40

@susiebluebell definitely do it! They take so long to actually do the investigations it's so worth speaking to them as soon as you can

SLCxxx · 11/05/2021 21:50

Hahaha, yes that’s defo what I’m saying @bubblybrit, drug hun uo so he has no excuses 😉😉

@bez91 this will be the first time I broach the subject of my fertility (or lack of) with my gp. It took 1.5 years to conceive the little one I lost in jan, but I’m assuming they will start the timer again from jan. Also I’m 36yo 👀 and my cycles vary from 14-47 days 🤷🏼‍♀️ Hoping I don’t have PCOS. If I get nothing from gp I will go private too I think, can’t believe that within 2 hours everything was rolling for you, how exciting. You will have to keep us updated 🤗

SLCxxx · 11/05/2021 21:56

@susiebluebell gp appts are taking forever so call them in the morning to get yourself booked in for a months time, lol. I completely understand you about the cycle variation. It’s really annoying because if you don’t know when you have ovulated then you never know if your period is late. 🤞🏻 hopefully you can have 21day bloods on your next cycle to confirm you are ovulating

bez91 · 11/05/2021 22:54

@SLCxxx they shouldn't start the clock again from January so make sure you tell them the story from the start. Thing I found with the GP was having to be armed with info so you don't get fobbed off and knowledge to question them about. Request a transvaginal scan if they don't suggest it to look for PCOS if that's a concern of yours. I've found it quite frustrating with GP so far, mainly because she's an uncompassionate bitch 😂so hopefully the initial investigations may spell things out quickly. Hopefully you'll get some answers soon too!

Canadadarling · 12/05/2021 03:03

Well today was the last day of my fertile window and couldn't BD because my oh LAUGHED at me when i was trying to initiate. We were both tired and didn't really want to do it but thought we'd try anyway to get our best chances this month. It was feeling a bit forced and uncomfortable for me so we had a laugh abt it for a bit, and then i got serious and started initiating it and i could feel him laughing at me! this made me feel awful and has put me off having sex with him tbh. And the worst part is now i feel like we've ruined our chances for the BFP

Loulou237 · 12/05/2021 07:28

Ah @Canadadarling I’m sorry that it upset you. I think when it’s scheduled it can become so forced and awkward and I’m sure he just had the giggles from the situation. It sucks the way it’s all such a specific time. Did you dtd before this? Even days before ovulation you can still catch the egg so fingers crossed for you. Hope you feel better xxx

SLCxxx · 12/05/2021 07:57

@Marvellouslymadmum so does this indicate that I ovulated 3days ago (may 9th)? Or does ovulation occur during the temp rises? Sorry for all the questions 🤦🏼‍♀️

@bez91 aww thank you, I had no idea what I was going to be asking for, I’ve pick up a couple of bits from this group but still abit clueless. I’m sorry to hear about your heartless gp, I suspect mine are the same, never seem interested in what your saying, don’t listen properly either! Grr! Did the private company say how long until you get results from the s sample? Hopefully you have that result soon and can cross that off your list. Is the hycosy when they do the scan with ink- so therefore flush your tubes?

@Canadadarling oh hun, I feel your pain, and considering the time you posted I’m assuming you couldn’t sleep. I think sometimes they just don’t get how much they can knock our confidence with things that seem insignificant to them, I’m sure he fancies you written. Sometimes my DH and I have a giggle because it feels so forced, it then becomes even more difficult to get him erm.. ready for action 🤣, and then her has a nervous giggle as he’s worried about his ability perform, maybe that could be why for your OH? I actually turned the tv off last night and missed out on what might have been my last opportunity too as was knackered, so you and I are in the same boat there 💕

TTC is so hard for everyone, even my MIL is on edge and watched each week to see if I’m drinking as she doesn’t want to ask if I’m pregnant yet 🤦🏼‍♀️ We all just need to be pregnant already FFS so we can start getting laid for actual fun again 🤣🤣🤣

bez91 · 12/05/2021 08:27

@SLCxxx it's worth seeing if you can find the NHS pathway for your area to see at what stage you might be referred to fertility clinic etc. Yes everything is booked for 1st June and the meeting with the consultant 10 days later to go through results and a plan of action. No hycosy yet, they'll do a scan first to see if tubes may be a problem. My NHS scan showed no issues previously, I'm thinking it's just an ovulation issue so may need clomid (perhaps I'm being too optimistic) but I know I'll be waiting another year to go through NHS process.
Oh god I hope you get on with your MIL I couldn't think of anything worse 😆 I think your ov may be 9th or 10th but I'm no expert with charts, only started doing bbt a couple of months ago but I'm pretty certain that's what it's showing

Hi all

I think my worst nightmare might be unfolding and I think I am having another Ectopic. Feel very scared and devastated.

Have a scan on Friday but not holding out much hope and terrified I might need surgery or have to take the drugs to stop me TTC for 3 months. It almost feels like I am watching someone else go through this all over again. I can’t believe it’s happening. I felt so happy for a week and like life was turning out as it should be.

Marking my place and hope you are all well.

Xxx

samantha06 · 12/05/2021 10:22

Hi everyone hope its ok to join!
I trying to convince baby no.3, I had a mmc at 17 weeks in feb and we lost a little boy😇 hoping for better luck this time🥰

Best of luck to everyone else trying 🥰

bez91 · 12/05/2021 10:34

Oh @Mustkeepgoing2 so sorry. Have you had a scan already or just symptoms? Sending you lots of support 💕 take it easy.

@samantha06 welcome. Really sorry you find yourself here, ladies here are very supportive. Some of us have been around quite a while 😁

Mustkeepgoing2 · 12/05/2021 11:19

@bez91 I am having my HCG levels monitored and they doubled the first time within 48 hours but didn’t the next time. She said it was still a decent rise but not ‘textbook’

I am not in pain, last time it was excruciating pain but I am feeling twinges.

I just have a gut feeling and I just know I am going to go in for the scan and there will be no baby there.

I just feel really sad. I felt such joy and now the carpet has been ripped from under me again.

Life is so bloody cruel at times.

Xxx

Canadadarlingg · 12/05/2021 11:32

@SLCxxx @Loulou237 It definitely was the fact that it was awkward and neither of us wanted to do it really , we had a good laugh together in the beginning so he probably just couldn't turn the laughs off straight away ! I think my overreaction was a mix of being tired and feeling like we missed a night 😂 we DTD the day of my peak and the day after though so I know we still have a chance

I've also got a new account because MN deactivated my last one and I don't know how to get it back :(

susiebluebell · 12/05/2021 14:16

Thank you for the cheerleading @Marvellouslymadmum and @SLCxxx I am phoning the GP this afternoon to get the ball rolling! I've decided I want to get pregnant more than I DON'T want to go to the doctor! 😄

Big big hugs @Mustkeepgoing2 I hope it's just twinges and not a pregnancy loss, I can imagine how worried you are. Will be thinking of you this Friday xx

@samantha06 Welcome! So sorry for your loss. You'll find lots of us going through the same things here xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 12/05/2021 21:34

@Canadadarlingg I'm sure you won't have ruined your chances by not doing it today, it's so hard when we have to do things on a schedule!

@SLCxxx it's difficult to say for certain bit your app will probably pinpoint it for you after a few days, I'd say could be 9th but it's more likely you ovulated on 10th when it starts to rise

@Mustkeepgoing2 try to relax (I know easier said than done) twinges are perfectly normal in pregnancy, sometimes it can be quite painful, I had a lot of cramping when first pregnant with my daughter

@samantha06 welcome to the thread, so sorry for your loss it must've been heartbreaking for you 😞 lots of lovely supportive ladies on here to talk to

catinthehat12 · 12/05/2021 21:52

@Canadadarlingg I can see why you’re upset that does sound awful. Remember what craziness can occur all round, both you and OH while TTC. I find all this strategic DTD so awkward sometimes, but push it away with my want for a baby. I am sure you have covered the period plenty.

I am on CD25, and still no ovulation peak, however I had a very faint line on a FRER today. I didn’t TTC again after the miscarriage until I had a negative test, but used cheap strips so it wasn’t killing the bank. I would be surprised that two weeks later I would still pull up a line on a FRER unless it’s a new pregnancy so all I can do is monitor for now and fingers crossed. I had a scan 5 days after my miscarriage and they didn’t see anything left over either, but there was a slight bit of fluid yet to go but I was still actively bleeding then.

What’s everyone’s thoughts, could this really be a new pregnancy even without my LH peak? I am cautiously hopeful, but also staying prepared for reality!

Canadadarlingg · 12/05/2021 23:45

@catinthehat12 oh wow my fingers are crossed that this could be a new pregnancy🤞🏻 If I remember correctly we had a mc the same time? So I would think that the hcg would be gone from your system, but depending how far along you were it could be picking up left over hormones as FRER detects very low levels. I would continue to test and see if the line gets darker or use the cheap strips so if a line appears you know it's new! I have some FRERs I was going to test with this month and have been worried about the same thing happening & not being sure if it's new or old bc my pregnancy tests wee negative very fast but I also only used cheap strips.

Keep us updated, I'm hoping that this is great news for you 😁

susiebluebell · 13/05/2021 07:18

@catinthehat12 It certainly could be a new pregnancy, if you got a negative pg test and are now getting a positive. But in your position, I would be tempering my hope and be more on the side of 'wait and see with no expectations'. False hope is the worst thing and I would hate for you to have that let-down of thinking you might be pg before being sure. Speaking from experience here 😖

MammaJ21 · 13/05/2021 07:21

@Canadadarlingg Sorry you feel like you missed ilthr last chance to bd. Did you manage to bd much over the window?

@Mustkeepgoing2 Sending lots of love and keeping everything crossed. As others have said, it can be very normal. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

@catinthehat12 Sending you positive vibes too and hoping it's a new pregnancy.

Can anyone help with the prenom ap? I only just got it so still figuring it out. But it keeps giving me '0' although the lines are definitely getting darker. I've attached a pic...sorry there so many 0 on there....tried to delete them but couldn't see how?! I firstly tried to take pics in same places and conditions but have tried moving round too to see if it helps. the last reading a minute after I took it have a slightly higher reading than before. So it's all just a bit confussing! In real life the lines are definitely darker than previous...not as dark as the control line though obviously. But. I kinda would have expected a higher reading on the last one?(just basing that on looking with my eyes haha)
Not sure if I'm going to like this app 😂

TTC after MC - May 2021 thread 19
Marvellouslymadmum · 13/05/2021 10:14

@catinthehat12 it's a tough one, as the tests you took before probably weren't as sensitive as a frer but could also be a new pregnancy 🤞🏻

@MammaJ21 I'm not a fan of the premom app to be honest but they are getting higher and I my peak is only 1.18

gizmo167 · 13/05/2021 10:59

@Mustkeepgoing2 thinking of you hun and hope all goes well at your scan tomorrow xx

Just popping in, I'm 7wk2 today, had to go to Drs yesterday as been suffering really badly with nausea and sickness, have had bloods done, BP ok and urine ok but I've gotten myself into a bit of a state that maybe it could be a molar, after googling of course!!!

BellaBella1984 · 13/05/2021 11:03

Hi I haven't had time to go through the whole thread so sorry if this has already been addressed. In terms of counting months for IVF, will I have to reset the clock after my miscarriage? TTC 18 months total but only 6 since MC. I hadn't previously considered IVF, so yet to discuss it with my GP, but at 36 and with no children it's something I've started to think about lately. Any advice welcome, thank you.

Canadadarlingg · 13/05/2021 11:16

@MammaJ21 I did manage to BD the day of my peak opk and the day after so I'm hoping those will be enough 🤞🏻
And as for the app it tends to give me lots of 0 readings as well, I've found that I just have to hold the camera very still and try taking pics both manually and automatically. I never use flash as that tends to give me the most 0's. As for your numbers I understand the frustration bc I too thought my results should be way higher but it should still recognise your peak and I had results of 0.2-0.5 before my peak of 1.5 so it should be coming. And if you swipe to the left of the ones you want to delete it will give you and options bar. Hope this helps :)

@BellaBella1984 I'm not sure about IVF but another message on here said that when you go to the drs they shouldn't reset the time after mc it should be the whole time ttc. Best of luck
