Hello ladies

Thank you for your kind words. They mean a lot.

Little update from me. My HCG caught up which is brilliant but scan didn’t show the gestational sac yet. I am five weeks so it is very early but the level of intervention has to increase with a previous ectopic. I have to go back on Monday when hopefully They will be able to see the pregnancy in the right location.

She did say she possibly could see something but didn’t want to confirm or deny as it was so small.

As I said I am five weeks and Monday will be my fifth appointment at the EPU which whilst I am grateful for the care it sets my anxiety through the roof as I am constantly waiting on results so there is a part of me that wishes I could just wait it out a bit longer but it is what it is I guess.

Interesting I ovulated on my left and the niggles I have are mainly on my right where my previous ectopic was but apparently either tube can pick up the egg which was something I didn’t know. Praying my left picked up my left egg and Monday is good news.

I also conceived a year to the day of my previous ectopic so praying it is my little rainbow and not history repeating itself.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me and thank you again. I really appreciate it xxxx

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/05/2021 12:21

@Mustkeepgoing2 so pleased you're doing ok so far and hopefully they'll see the little bean on monday! If not can they do a transvaginal scan? I believe they usually see more in early pregnancy. Good luck! 🤞🏻 xx
@davidrosejumper hi so sorry that you've had to go through those losses. I think this group really helps though as we are all going through the same thing

@MammaJ21 I would say 0.5 sounds accurate because I would look at my strips and think "that's definitely got to be high it's so dark" but it only classes as high if it's as dark/ darker than the control. If you haven't been already I'd start testing twice/ 3 times a day now that it's getting darker so that you don't miss your peak. Here's a pic of mine if that's any help.
That's so frustrating when life gets in the way, but if you haven't got your peak yet it means you've got at least another day or 2 before you need to BD so fc he feels better by then. If not he needs to suck it up lol
Sorry for the delay.

Thanks! that's helpful to know about only being 'high' if as dark as the control line.
So yesterday's was a bit lighter and just did one and it is so pale?! Like I can just about see it! so strange...hoping it will pick back up!?
Does this happen to others?

MammaJ21 · 15/05/2021 12:40

@Mustkeepgoing2 keeping everything crossed for you. Like you said, it's so early so don't be too disheartened x

bez91 · 15/05/2021 12:56

@Mustkeepgoing2 hoping for you 🤞🏼 good that EPU have you on their radar and sounds like you're getting the needed amount of attention! I hope everything is good Monday 💕

Happy weekend everyone!

Thank you so much ladies. I hope so much that it is positive news on Monday.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and are okay. You are all so kind. I am going to try my absolute best to resist falling down a google hole xxx

davidrosejumper · 15/05/2021 16:16

@Mustkeepgoing2, that sounds very anxiety inducing. But at least they are being careful and considerate and not giving any false hope when they are not a 100% sure. It suggests you can trust their judgment. Hope Monday goes well, and the pregnancy shows up in the right spot.

@Canadadarlingg, thank you, it is helping already!

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/05/2021 16:45

@MammaJ21 this happens to me often, I think it's my body attempting ovulation a few times before it happens

MammaJ21 · 15/05/2021 16:53
@MammaJ21 this happens to me often, I think it's my body attempting ovulation a few times before it happens
Ahhh really. I've not spotted it before but maybe that's happening to me. So strange how the lines super pale. I did another one not long ago and it was the same.

How long after that do you usually get your peak would you say?

Wish it wasn't all so confussing for us all and there was an exact timing on it all .. wouldn't that be nice!!

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/05/2021 17:16

I've started using the cb digital
Advance opk and they seem to pinpoint ovulation better but the strips show I usually try once then go back down then just a few days back up again. Sometimes this happens once or twice before ovulation

RichmondLady1981 · 15/05/2021 18:40

@Mustkeepgoing2 thinking of you and Ill be praying for good news on Monday. I am totally with you- every week of this new pregnancy is riddled with worry. Try to take each day at a time and take a moment to breathe and distress if that’s possible. Get a good box set out and distract yourself this weekend. 💕 x

Thanks for your help. So useful knowing this could be normal.

I do wonder if my line the other day that was almost as dark as the control...but I'd say not as, wass ovulation as it was close to being the same! But I'll test next couple of days and hope I may have a peak. To be honest not managed to dtd since Tue due to husband having the jab and I've felt a bit pants too.

How are you getting on?

BaaBaaEmily · 15/05/2021 19:23

Hi, can I join please? Had an erpc for mmc 2.5 weeks ago now. Still testing positive on pg tests but starting to feel less pregnant so hoping I'll be ready to start TTC again soon. Did you all wait for a period or just go for it? We're not planning on waiting but know if might be difficult as who knows when I'll ovulate.
Hope you're all ok!

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/05/2021 20:20

@MammaJ21 it's difficult when your body keeps tricking you! I had the same issues with oh feeling poorly last month! This month just coming into fw and we have been dtd but I've hit a smear Tuesday his sa Thursday and my second Covid jab on Saturday so I hold very little hope lol

Hi @BaaBaaEmily sorry to hear of your mc, after the first one I waited then wished I hadn't so ttc straight away after others, I'd just say give it a go and use opk to help find ovulation, good luck

bez91 · 15/05/2021 20:31

@MammaJ21 I've been having multiple peaks the last few cycles. One confirmed anovulatory cycle and I think this one too after my peak at CD7 but it's completely normal for some women to have multiple peaks (I'm sure there's a technical phrase for it) as long as you're ovulating you're good 🙌🏼

Welcome @BaaBaaEmily sorry you find yourself here. Everyone will tell you different about TTC again, my first MC which was natural we did try again straight away and fell pregnant again without a period in between, the MMC we waited until after my period mainly because DH didn't want to try but if you're both happy with that then go for it I say 😊

MammaJ21 · 15/05/2021 21:02

@Marvellouslymadmum ah always something to get in the way. I have read somewhere on one of these threads someone said they got pregnant after their smear. So fingers crossed. Not sure if there's anything in that or just coincidence.

@bez91 thanks lovely. That's good to know. Wish we could know if actually ovulated or not! So on your anovulatory cycle, did you get peaks but have bloods to show you didn't actually ovulate?

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/05/2021 21:08

@MammaJ21 I've read that too but as his sa is a couple of days later and he has to
Abstain for 3 days before we probably won't be able to dtd again in the fw which is very annoying!

bez91 · 15/05/2021 21:25

@MammaJ21 yes it was the first time I'd had bloods but coincidently the first time I'd temped as well so it was clear there was no ov from that alone. Looking back I suppose it's possible I may not have been ovulating for some time 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Marvellouslymadmum argggh that's annoying how it's fell with the SA, hopefully ov will be kind and hold off for a chance to DTD again 🤞🏼

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/05/2021 22:35

@bez91 that's what I'm hoping, it should be somewhere between Wednesday and Sunday so if it could hold off I'd be very grateful lol

Mamat90 · 15/05/2021 23:37

Thanks for the new thread! Just marking my place, currently at the beginning of the TWW, fingers crossed This is the month! 🤞🏻

BellaBella1984 · 16/05/2021 14:03

@RichmondLady1981 Wow this group moves fast! In my area you have to have been TTC for a year before being considered for IVF and I can't remember what the age but off is. I wasn't sure if I've been TTC for 18 months, or if they'll re start the count from my MC which will be only 6 months. I've bitten the bullet and text my GP for an apt to discuss options. (Have explained to hubby that at some point he's going to need to spunk in a cup for tests and the look on his face was priceless! 🤣)

davidrosejumper · 16/05/2021 14:18

@BaaBaaEmily, I did not wait for a period after my first MC. I got pregnant again immediately, which then again ended in pregnancy loss. However, I know there is no evidence for a higher risk of miscarriages, as far as I understand (not a medical doctor, though).

After my recent pregnancy loss, I did decide to just give it a bit more time, and at least have one proper period in between to allow my body a bit more time to recover. But it is really up to you. I very much understand the need to want to be pregnant again (hence, why we didn't wait after our first MC).

Having a proper period first will make it also easier to date the pregnancy, which is helpful for knowing if the pregnancy is developing properly.

Canadadarlingg · 16/05/2021 21:00

@BaaBaaEmily hi, I'm currently in my first cycle after mc and ttc. I started trying again as soon as the bleeding stopped and started tracking using opks to find my ovulation date.

As @davidrosejumper said it doesn't mean that there is a higher risk of miscarriage, there is evidence that conceiving in the 6months after mc actually gives you higher odds of having a healthy pregnancy (although it's obviously different for everyone). I think doctors suggest waiting for the next cycle to date better but I was impatient lol. Currently in my TWW

gizmo167 · 17/05/2021 10:13

Just popping in to wish you all the best for the scan today @Mustkeepgoing2, I am sure everything will be fine hun xx

Had a couple of less nauseous days Friday and Saturday but back with a bang yesterday and today, hoping I get my booking in appointment soon with the midwife, when I was pregnant with my DD (8 years ago!) I already had 2 scans through my GP with their surgery scanner, I'm getting very anxious to make sure this one is ok, funny what loss does to you!!

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/05/2021 10:46

@BellaBella1984 they shouldn't count it from your mc and my oh has that to do on Thursday - he is not looking forward to it 😂

@Mustkeepgoing2 really hope your scan goes well!

@gizmo167 I really have no idea how on earth I was so relaxed when pregnant with my two children!! From the experiences we have had this time and reading from others I know I'm going to be totally paranoid should I ever get another bfp!! Hopefully your Midwife will start getting everything booked in for you soon and a scan 🤞🏻
