Here we are again... thread 19. Not sure if any of you ladies are here from thread 1. I think I've been around since about thread 5.

@re6ecca hope your cycles settle down soon. With my daughter (now 10!) I conceived on around day 58…

re6ecca · 28/09/2021 21:01

@Loz2467 used to be 28 regular and are now 30 since first miscarriage, never in my life had anything like this though! It would be lovely if that happened! Never wished for a period before though 🤣
@susiebluebell good to see you too, yes it is infuriating isn't it!

re6ecca · 28/09/2021 22:20

@Sarah0409 maybe there's hope for me yet haha

Loz2467 · 01/10/2021 09:01

Yeah don’t loose hope @re6ecca keep a look out for that fertile CM when it arrives and just go for it! Regulating cycles is frustrating though so I totally feel you. I’ve been there and it’s not easy. My vaccine made mine slightly longer for 2 months. Not sure if you’ve had that thrown in the mix. Xx

re6ecca · 01/10/2021 20:29

This is what my cycles are usually like! Its really strange!

Loz2467 · 01/10/2021 21:41

@re6ecca so they are usually bang on! Have you definitely not ovulated yet? Sorry to ask the obvious!

re6ecca · 01/10/2021 22:16

@Loz2467 I genuinely don't know, I'm not showing any signs of my period yet and I'm a week from when it should be again

OneDay86 · 02/10/2021 15:03

Hi @re6ecca sorry to hear your still waiting on your period to show. I had something similar happen to me. I had a really long cycle, 49 days in the end before AF turned up, just seemed so random at the time (usually 26/27 days). But then in the next cycle I got pregnant! Having the opposite problem now though, just had a 19 day cycle (thought it was 22 days but miscounted!) - these random cycles don’t half stress me out at the time! Hope your period turns up soon for you

re6ecca · 02/10/2021 16:00

@OneDay86 woohoo! It's arrived! Barely there but still. Happy

OneDay86 · 02/10/2021 16:10

Haven’t been on here for a little while. Hope everyone is doing ok? Finally had my blood tests back after my MC and everything looks normal, which is good. So most likely means my 2 MCs were due to chromosomal abnormalities I think? Hoping it will be 3rd time lucky. Only on my 2nd cycle since miscarrying so will see how it goes, although can’t help but feel so impatient! Just want to be pregnant again… although am scared of another MC but the fear of not having a baby is far greater.

Hello @Fishbaby and @Fingerscrossedfor2021HK, sorry for your losses and that you find yourselves here on this thread. But the ladies on here are lovely and I hope you find it as helpful and comforting as I have ❤️

@Fingerscrossedfor2021HK thanks for sharing the info about the spotting and scans to check your lining. I don’t usually spot but I did with my first cycle after my last MC. Will keep an eye on it. Hope the pessaries help, I was on those when I started spotting at 6 weeks pregnant. When I get pregnant again my consultant wants me to start taking them straight away this time as soon as I have a bfp. Fingers crossed we all get our bfps soon x

@bez91 and @coconutlatte44 hope you and your little beans are doing well ❤️

OneDay86 · 02/10/2021 16:11

Aww @re6ecca that’s good news it’s finally here! Must have felt like the longest wait, glad it’s arrived!

Fingerscrossedfor2021HK · 03/10/2021 00:30

Hi all -

Another update from me in case it helps anyone else:

  • Had our consult with the ivf doctor on Friday and planning to start first cycle in November assuming (hoping) that all goes to plan. I asked about whether there were any supplements that I should be taking and he said that as long as I am taking pre-natal vitamins that is really enough for now. That said, he agreed that I should continue taking CoQ10 (I asked whether this actually helps and he said that yes it is good for egg quality). It is strange but I feel so much more emotionally balanced since we decided to push ahead with ivf - it feels nice in a way to let science take over and if it doesn’t work at least I can blame science instead of myself! Wink
  • My OBGYN has separately put me on femara for days 2 to 6 this cycle in an attempt to “boost my ovulation”. She said there isn’t really a downside in terms of side effects of this medicine although there is a slightly higher chance of multiples if we did (by some miracle) get pregnant! Keeping my fingers crossed that it works - I have a scan on day 9 to see whether my body is responding so we shall see. The progesterone totally stopped my spotting btw so i would definitely recommend even though actually using the pessaries was a bit vile and they did make me both extremely bloated and extremely moody (my poor husband)!

@re6ecca - hope your cycle returns to normal soon!

@OneDay86 - so so sorry about your losses. If it’s any comfort, the ivf doctor I spoke to said that he is always encouraged when patients have gotten pregnant naturally (even if those pregnancies ended up being losses) because it means that the fundamentals are working. I always hated it after my MMC when well-meaning friends trotted out the “at least you know you can get pregnant” line but it turns out that this is actually the medical opinion too! I have my fingers firmly crossed for you in any case.

Sending positive thoughts out to everyone on this thread. It makes me so happy whenever I read about someone getting a BFP - as if there is going to be light at the end of the tunnel for all of us… x

coconutlatte44 · 04/10/2021 20:24

Well, tomorrow is judgment day - should be 8.5 weeks and scan is at 9:30. My last mc - found at 8 weeks - the embryo was measuring 6+2 which is around what these two were measuring at my last scan, so it's anyone's guess whether they are still kicking around in there.

Loulou237 · 04/10/2021 20:35

Hi @coconutlatte44 good luck tomorrow. Just remember it’s far more likely that all will be fine. I know it’s easier said than done but hope it all goes well for you. Please let us know how you get on! Everything crossed xxx

bez91 · 04/10/2021 20:47

Best wishes for tomorrow @coconutlatte44 That's what I'm struggling with the most, not knowing. Odds are massively in your favour though. Let us know how you get on 😊

Good luck @coconutlatte44 xx

Unarosaes · 05/10/2021 06:50

Morning! I am new here. Had a mmc in May and and been ttc again for the last 4 months or so. AF is due today. I bought these cheap pregnancy tests off the Internet and I think I got bfp but I am panicking in case it's an evaporation line or just a faulty test. The line started showing up around the 90 seconds mark. Any thoughts? I really don't want want make my hopes up.

coconutlatte44 · 05/10/2021 11:32

Thank you everyone -
They're both ok. Strong heartbeats and measuring 8+2 each - CRLs are18.8/18.3 so nothing to worry about size wise at the moment.

I am in disbelief. I sobbed (again) when I saw them.

They've booked me in for my next scan in 2 weeks' time.

Thank you all for thinking of me

Loz2467 · 05/10/2021 12:54

@coconutlatte44 that is amazing news I am so pleased for you! I would be sobbing too!

@Fingerscrossedfor2021HK thank you for sharing your insights and I’m sending lots of positivity for your IVF cycle. That’s reassuring to know about the pregnancy as I’m torn as to cross this bridge - if it comes to it! But knowing that makes me more hopeful. I still haven’t got answers for my spotting and my progesterone result was obviously high but maybe it drops too early. As I had it tested on 7/8 dpo. I chart my bbt and my temps stay high till AF arrives and a decent rise too so I just don’t know what the spotting can be. Unless some hormonal imbalance.

@Unarosaes that’s a definite positive. Sending a gentle congrats. You could always get a digital for in a few days but that’s very clear 🌈🤞🏼

bez91 · 05/10/2021 17:02

So happy to read your update @coconutlatte44 that's amazing! Glad they're keeping a close eye on you and rescanning.
EPU got in touch with me today actually after having my scan at 6 weeks and they want to see me again next week (9ish weeks) to make sure everything progressing as it should be. Anxiety still through the roof but it's reassuring to be on their radar

Unarosaes · 05/10/2021 17:47

@Loz2467 thank you! I am at the pharmacy getting a 'proper' one now...

@coconutlatte44 it is so great to hear it went so well. I can only imagine how you must have been feeling during the last few weeks.

Sarah0409 · 05/10/2021 17:52

@coconutlatte44 that’s great news! So pleased for you!

@Unarosaes sounds like a bfp to me, hope it all goes well for you.

My husband seems on the fence now about whether we should try again - as far as I can tell this is because of the impact on me and worrying about the same thing happening again… I know completely what he means but feeling very frustrated as I feel like the impact of giving up would be harder, it’s a risk you have to take when ttc. Has anyone else been through these conversations? How did they go?

susiebluebell · 05/10/2021 21:28

Hi @Sarah0409 yes those conversations will be VERY familiar to many of us. I hope she doesn't mind me tagging her but @bubblybrit had some ups and downs with her partner on this, as did I. Honestly it will come and go for you both, the most important thing is to not shut each other down just because you're expressing doubts.

Welcome @Unarosaes that's definitely positive. Fingers crossed for your further tests.

Guess who else got a positive test today - me! REALLY unexpected and still no idea how to feel about it. Basically as I've mentioned before, my cycles have been all over the place and I've been spotting almost non-stop for the past month. It got to the point where I was arranging a GP appointment to get it checked out. Bought a couple of tests on the way home so that I could have more info to bring to the doctor. Set the test going, jumped in the shower and then leaned out of the shower a few mins later to have a look - Pregnant. I was so surprised that I didn't even feel excited, genuinely just like HUH.

Going to do another one first thing tomorrow. Watch this space Smile

Loulou237 · 05/10/2021 22:17

@susiebluebell that’s amazing news congratulations! I’ve been following your story for a while now so very happy for you!
I got a positive test today too and again I don’t know how to feel, very shocked and tentatively happy I guess?!
That’s amazing @coconutlatte44 you must still be reeling and/or sobbing after that! 😊
