3 miscarriages in a row. Waiting on miscarriage clinic appointment

(Also posted this in miscarriage talk, but had no replies)

So a quick summary. In 2015 I was pregnant with Identical twin girls, I lost them at 24 weeks with TTTS (twin to twin transfusion syndrome) I gave birth to them both.

Fast forward to 2020, I fall pregnant in March and I miscarry at 9 weeks after a private scan showed no baby on the screen. An empty sac. We tried again in the June and it took us until October to fall pregnant again. I found out on October 24th and on the 31st I started bleeding and was told it was a chemical pregnancy because the hospital test came back negative, but I had positives the week before on blue dye tests and digital ones. I was 5 weeks pregnant. I then fell pregnant again straight after I presume, no period whole of the November, faint positives on tests, started bleeding heavily on December 13th and was told it was a miscarriage again.

And to now, I’ve had a pelvis ultrasound, came back with the lining of my womb fine, the womb fine, my ovaries just showed a small amount of cysts so was given blood tests to check for polycystic ovaries, got those results back and all came back clear and no further action needed. Had tests for Thrombophilia, also came back clear. And I’ve had a period since the December loss.

Due to Covid I’m having to wait a bit longer for my miscarriage clinic referral appointment to come through. My doctor has given me the all clear to keep trying in the meantime. But I’m so fed up and drained with it. I just need advice if anyone has been referred to the miscarriage clinic and what was the outcome, if any. Because I’m very doubtful I’ll get answers.

The waiting is just so horrible! And I think it's worse because we have no control over anything 😔 hopefully we all get good news and have healthy pregnancies.

I too am having waves of nausea maybe a few times a day, so unbelievably tired, seriously bloated and maybe the odd mild cramp yesterday! Just can't help but constantly check for bleeding x

@MollySxx what do you do for a job? im working from home at the min as my son isnt in school. ive been going for walks to just get out. i no what you mean wish could fast forward the next like 3 months. Also trying to eat health as home is hard aswell.

@Fawn68 defo feels like groundhog day everyday. im the same, whenever i feel a twinge im like 'oh no' but then ok.

I’ve caved this morning girls and had to take one before my beta test later on. And I woke up with slight back ache and cramps. I think at some point I’ll stop testing, but for now while it’s all in the same stage as my chemical pregnancy seeing the lines just brings me reassurance. This time around my chemical I was getting faint lines and then a digital completely said not pregnant after saying pregnant 2 days before. This zone of pregnancy is just my worst fear🥺

@MollySxx great lines on this one! I haven't tested since Wednesday morning and not sure I will test again as I think it would stress me out, my test on Wednesday morning was really dark. Good luck for your bloods. Do you need them repeated again on Monday?

@Fawn68 omg wow, they are strong! And I’m not to sure yet. With it being Friday they might not get them back till Monday I presume. I really don’t know. My doctor just asked me if I wanted them as a piece of mind after my losses and I just agreed. Kind of wish I hadn’t because I had a late night google and sometimes the numbers can be wrong for what week you are

@MollySxx I know the darkness don't matter too much but I'm taking it a piece of mind for now, as with my previous miscarriages my lines were never this dark so early on. They will most likely still repeat them as I think they need to know if they have doubled within the time frame, I got my beta down last time but unfortunately that didn't work out for me. You just have to do what will reassure you
The waiting is the worst! Ask your gp about the progesterone x

@Fawn68 @MollySxx im in the same boat, i wasnt going to test today but caved in and there a lot stronger today than wednesday morning. Feeling more sock each day xx

@Emmav2020 that's great progression! I'm feeling ok still, just do get quite bloated and the tiredness is quite bad at the minute. But not really feeling sick! With my son I was sick from exactly 6 weeks I had horrendous sickness. I kinda want to feel sick for more reassurance! I didn't have any sickness with my miscarriages

@Fawn68 no i never had sickness either with both my miscarriages. I definately feel different this pregnancy. My sisters grabbing me a dating test today so ill do that in the morning and then thats it now not testing. I could drive myself mad if i did and waste money.

Has anyone started there midwife referral. Its all over form round where i am so i had to fill in yday and email it over. x

Let us know how it goes! I'm not even going to do a dating one, am I mad lol.

Well because I have already been took on again by EPU since Wednesday I'm automatically referred and on the system now. They have booked me in for a scan on 3rd March and I should be just over 7 weeks if I'm lucky enough to make it that far. What about you?

I’ve juts got back from my bloods. Results back Monday I was told. Asked about the progesterone, still no email to my gp from the hospital, so I’ve just been a woman on a mission and rang the hospital and they have it all signed, just haven’t sent it. So I’ve just told them to send it now in the most polite way possible. So hopefully my gp reads it before the day is out and I can get it before work and start tonight. If not I’ll have to wait until Monday x

@MollySxx not to sure actually i recon only about 3ish weeks. I've read not to take them dating tests to seriously either. The symptoms are defo getting worse each day x

@Emmav2020 yesterday I didn’t feel to bad, didn’t have noticeable sickness feeling yesterday. Just my boobs are so sore in the mornings. Woke up this morning however and I feel like I have a hangover. Slight cramps today as well, so going to take it easy I think since it’s my day off x

I said I wouldn't do any more tests but I did this morning, have a dye stealer on the frer. But I still don't have many symptoms! Boobs aren't sore but I never get sore boobs, I'm very tired, the odd bloat, a few waves of nausea yesterday and that's been it. But yesterday and today I've had mild cramps, anyone else having cramps at all? Obviously I'm anxious!

@Fawn68 you sound the exact same as me! I get sore boobs before my period is due. But then some months I don’t. I’ve got sore nipples now, more than the whole boob area if that makes sense😂 I get the odd bloat and then no bloat. Today I felt a wave of sickness and felt flustered. I have cramps today. My lower back has been on and off aching. Small small twinges in my stomach. But nothing painful. I again did another test and I got a dye stealer on my easy @ home test, so that made my mind at ease with the cramps I’ve got on and off. I’ll show you my picture of the test, I keep grouping them all together x

@MollySxx I don't even get sore boobs pre period, so I'm hoping this is why they aren't sore! My nipples are sensitive if I touch or poke at them, but they were like this with the miscarriages also. Oh thank god I'm not the only one with the cramps, yes that's exactly like me, it's not painful at all it's very mild but it's made me paranoid! Great progression. I need to talk myself into being positive! I'm struggling today. This is this mornings test x

@Fawn68 I have the exact same nipple problem. Like tender to the touch. Almost feel bruised. I didn’t have this with my miscarriages. I hardly had no symptoms other than a sore back constantly and that’s why I got paranoid last night when I finished work and could feel like the ache and I thought oh no, what if its time. I think my mind will be more at ease when I have my progesterone. Which should be Monday. I chased the hospital up yesterday and they said it was there and they’d send it over. All this was before 10am, so thought my doctors would of rang, but they didn’t. So Monday I’m again being a woman on a mission x

@MollySxx yes definitely get on to them, ridiculous that it is taking them so long.I got mines started on Wednesday. The cramps have gone again now, but when I have them I keep running to the toilet to check for bleeding. How on earth am I ever going to make it if everything is still ok then, for my scan on 3rd March x

@Fawn68 I’ll be fair to my doctors, it’s not their fault because they need the letter to understand what dose I need before they can prescribe it. It’s just an issue the hospital have prolonged a little bit since it’s been in their hand to just send over the information. Just annoying because now it’s the weekend it’s all closed. And no, I agree! Very paranoid that bleeding with start. I think it’s just a habit for us since we have good reason with past experience x

I haven't read the full thread but just wanted to post my story to encourage those of you going through the heartbreak of recurrent miscarriages.

I had difficulty conceiving and eventually did after trying for a year - only to lose the pregnancy. Two more miscarriages followed after that and I was absolutely heartbroken. I was put on Clomid to thicken my endometrium and aid conception and the next pregnancy was successful. I was nearly 36 when my beautiful little boy arrived. I had another miscarriage after him and then a gorgeous little girl. I was just over the moon. Then, believe it or not, I got pregnant by accident (I was gobsmacked when I checked my pregnancy test) and, aged 40, had the most beautiful little surprise baby - another girl.

@MollySxx How are you? Did you get your blood results and your progesterone?

@Fawn68 I’ve woke up feeling very sicky and sleepy this morning. Slightly achy as well. But other than that, all okay. How are you? X

And I haven’t as of yet, waiting patiently by the phone. If nothing by 12pm I’ll chase it up
