Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@LarasMama yeah the stronger line is the one that has been heavily diluted with water ! Bit mad isn't it !

Juno231 · 09/01/2021 07:36

@SS123456 I'm glad you thought to do a diluted one!

@LarasMama yes it's called the hook effect and basically means your pregnancy tests start malfunctioning from week 7ish due to not being able to cope with the amount of hcg.

@Kona84 can't wait to see your RHR today!

LarasMama · 09/01/2021 09:10

@lucyrp It is! How’s your RHR
this morning?

@SS123456 How are you doing this morning! Has your RHR gone up?

@Juno231 That’s fascinating that it happens with pregnancy tests as well! Could it ever show negative tho?

@mumof23188 How are you dear?

I’m cd8 and my period has stopped almost 3 days ago but strangely my RHR dropped today. Maybe it was a one time thing and it’ll rise again by tomorrow. Has anyone experienced this?

@LarasMama I haven't got out of bed yet so haven't put my watch on 🤣🙄

mumof23188 · 09/01/2021 09:17

@LarasMama morning lovely. I’m ok thanks. Just really anxious. AF supposedly due today!! Hope you are ok? I’ve had that before and I’ve also had cycles where it drops for ovulation!

@SS123456 hope you are ok! I hope your HR is just to do with COVID. Which it more than likely is 🤞🤞.

@Kona84 sounds super promising 🤞🤞

SS123456 · 09/01/2021 09:45

@LarasMama @mumof23188 I moved around a bit more yesterday so I was hopeful I'd see a rise or at least a plato today but it dropped again!

LarasMama · 09/01/2021 10:10

@SS123456 Was the RHR of 84 when you were sick?

mumof23188 · 09/01/2021 10:13

@SS123456 how many weeks are you now?

SS123456 · 09/01/2021 10:25

@LarasMama yeah it was. I was sitting around 76-77 as my 'normal' pregnant rate but it was 63 this morning

@mumof23188 I am 7 weeks

Kona84 · 09/01/2021 10:28

It’s a drop by 1bpm for me today.

3 days until AF according to Fitbit and 4 days according to Ovia so will know by Wednesday either way

Hey guys, just wanted to reassure those of you who are pregnant and your rhr is dropping....mine did exactly the same. I'm 12 weeks now and virtually back to what I was pre pregnancy (baby is fine) apparently by 6/7 weeks your body starts to get used to the extra blood your pumping and your heart gets more efficient at it. So don't count yourselves out yet!

SS123456 · 09/01/2021 10:34

Thanks so much for sharing @Alicespring ! What week did yours drop back down?

Alicespring · 09/01/2021 10:37

@SS123456

I think it was around week 7/8....I got a new Fitbit for Christmas and annoyingly all my data got lost 😭😭 so I can't check for certain but I'm sure it was around then.

LarasMama · 09/01/2021 11:29

@mumof23188 I can imagine! But she could have showed days ago but didn’t! 😇 I think lil bean wants to stick around! How’s your RHR? Mine adjusted back to 59. Maybe it’s because of ovulation coming. I’ve tried a few adjustments to my diet to support hormonal balance. Wonder if that will work.

@lucyrp do you not wear it at night? Night time is so important for me as I can tell by how low my RHR drops. During the day it seems to be linked a lot to your activity level. 🤷🏻‍♀️

lucyrp · 09/01/2021 11:32

@LarasMama oh no I don't wear it at night anymore. I never used to then someone said I should so I started to but it says on Apple Watch that they don't include your heart rate whilst sleeping but then I noticed it was including it in my rhr so I got annoyed so don't wear it at night anymore

lucyrp · 09/01/2021 11:33

@LarasMama if I nap in the day it brings it even lower which irritates me no end 🤣

mumof23188 · 09/01/2021 12:04

@SS123456 as Alice said it does fall back to a more normal level. Hopefully it’s that coupled in with getting over COVID.

@Alicespring wow 12 weeks! Glad to hear all is well ☺️.

@LarasMama very true, that’s what I’m trying to tell myself. 18dpo today. Just waiting for more FRER to arrive 😱. I’m stopping temping from today aswell. My HR is 65 again today but because of lockdown I’m not doing a lot at all so hoping that’s why it’s low!

Yes definitely could be! Mine sometimes had a rise for ov and sometimes dropped. Ah good luck with the changes, what have you changed? I’m struggling to cut back on the caffeine!! DS is not sleeping well atm! How’s your DD?

lucyrp · 09/01/2021 17:34

Just wanted to pop on and update everyone. My scan went really well today and measuring exactly what I thought, little heart beating away and even got a wave from their little limb buds💓 I think my rhr must just be adjusting to the baby and I've been so chilled at home all week!

SS123456 · 09/01/2021 17:39

@lucyrp congratulations that's great news 😁

Kona84 · 09/01/2021 17:43

@lucyrp that’s amazing news so happy for you

lucyrp · 09/01/2021 17:49

@Alicespring sorry I forgot to say thanks for giving your experience!

@SS123456 @Kona84 thanks girls 🥰

mumof23188 · 09/01/2021 18:17

@lucyrp fab news 🥰

Got a massive dye stealer this evening at 18dpo so I’m going to just try and chill now.

Wishing you all loads of luck for this cycle ladies 💕💕 @LarasMama @Juno231 @Kona84

Juno231 · 09/01/2021 19:04

@LarasMama not sure about it ever going negative but I've seen them go super faint! My RHR was dropping until CD11 this cycle if that helps? It often carries on dropping right until ovulation for me.

@lucyrp I forgot you didn't wear it at night, that explains why your RHR always seemed really high! So happy for your scan and that it went well ❤️. Are you planning on finding out the sex ?

@mumof23188 yes!! What a dye stealer 😍 When will you call the midwife/self refer? Did you tell us how OH took it?

5DPO today, rhr went up 2bpm. Intrigued to see what happens over the next week!

@mumof23188 yaaay! Look at that line!

@Juno231 well I have worn it at night for the past 2 months or so but gave up with it a week ago because since being pregnant its been annoying me 😂 yeah I think we'll find out the sex because OH wants to do things differently to what I did when I had DS🥰
