Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 5

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

So after a post AF plummet my RHR jumped up 2bpm from all the booze last night 😅. Happy New Year ladies!

I'm CD13 and after a couple of days of strongish opks I was hoping for a peak today but instead the line disappeared completely... Here's to hoping it comes back full force tomorrow!

Thank you @Juno231 for the new thread.

I’m currently cd12 and after taking soy this cycle it looks like I will ovulate tomorrow or Sunday, cd13 or 14 after having positive ovulation test today. Which will be amazing as last cycle was cd22.

Temp dipped today and rhr rose slightly.

Just waiting, hoping to see if I will ovulate this weekend.

Thank you for the new thread ☺️

@Juno231 haha 😆 love that!! Oh how frustrating about your OPK. Hoping you get your peak tomorrow 🤞.

@Moominmiss that looks promising with your dip and RHR rise. Wow that’s great it’s brought it all forward for you ☺️

Moominmiss · 01/01/2021 20:57

@mumof23188 I know, I’m really hoping that the positive opk will actually turn into ovulation over the next couple of days. Will be a huge improvement on my cycle length.

How are you doing? Whereabouts are you now in your cycle? X

LarasMama · 01/01/2021 22:10

Happy new year everyone! Hope you all had a lovely NYE. Let's get our BFPs this year and maybe even get to hold our little ones before the year is over.

@Juno231 Thank you for starting the thread! Perfect to start the new year with a new thread. I hope you get your peak tomorrow! Fingers crossed for you! :)

@Moominmiss I hope you ovulate earlier this month. Does soy help with that?

@mumof23188 That OPK looks pretty positive to me. :) Will you test with a pregnancy test tomorrow with fmu? I think you should! Hope your RHR picks up tomorrow as well! Fingers crossed!

So I am either 10 or 11 DPO. My PMS seems to be gone. At least I'm not emotional anymore. My RHR has been stuck at 63 again. My nipples are so sore (I sometimes get this right after ovulation). And I've checked cm and it was a little brown. I expect full AF latest by Sunday. I'm not sad though. If I get pregnant next cycle and we make it to full term, it'll be a little libra baby! I love libras! Haha!

Moominmiss · 01/01/2021 22:30

@LarasMama soy is basically like a natural clomid. So if you don’t ovulate it can help bring on ovulation, and if you already ovulate on your own it can help make ovulation stronger.

You can take it on cd1-5, 2-6, 3-7, 4-8 or 5-9. If you take it 1-5 or 2-6 it should bring ovulation forward and you may produce more eggs. If you take it 4-8 or 5-9 it won’t make you ovulate any earlier, but will help mature then egg and make ovulation as strong as possible. A lot of women choose to take it on days 3-7 as it’s the best of both worlds. It may bring ovulation forward a little, it may produce more eggs, but will also strengthen ovulation and help mature the egg/s.

LarasMama · 01/01/2021 22:38

@Moominmiss Thanks for explaining! That's so interesting. How to you take it? Do you take it as a supplement? Does it have a negative affect on progesterone and the luteal phase? I was always very careful with soy and soy products because of my thyroid.
But maybe I'll consider trying it, as I've actually been thinking about adding something for egg health to my supplement routine. I was also considering Co Q10 Ubiquinol. Have you tried that?

kaffy197 · 01/01/2021 23:13

@Moominmiss @LarasMama following because I've seen soy mentioned but don't understand it in detail!

SS123456 · 02/01/2021 07:52

Thanks for tagging me on the new thread 😊

I'm 6 weeks 1 day today and getting really worried about my rhr drop 😩 (Chart attached). I am pending covid results but I am 80% sure that's what I've had during the steep rise as we have just been informed my OHs son has tested positive (he was with us over Christmas)

Moominmiss · 02/01/2021 10:51

@LarasMama and @kaffy197 so I take it as a tablet, like a supplement. Mine are just tescos own brand ones. The tablets I have are 40mg ones.
They say soy is about half strength of clomid, so if you were to have 100g of clomid, that would equate to 200mg of soy (this is the Max recommended dose).
For example this cycle I took 4 tablets (160mg worth) on days 2-4, then I upped it to 5 tablets (200mg worth) on days 5 and 6.
I take them in the morning along with my folic acid, vit d, and 200g ubiquinol. I’ve never noticed any kind of side effects. It’s never altered my lp, that’s always remained at 13 days in length.

I’d recommend the ubiquinol. I’ve been taking it for a good few months now. It’s not cheap but I’d read a lot about what I could do to improve my egg quality and that seemed like a good starting point.

mumof23188 · 02/01/2021 11:34

@Moominmiss fingers crossed it does the trick for you 🤞. Let us know! I’m 11dpo today. Nothing much to report.

@LarasMama yes it was wasn’t it. I don’t have any tests otherwise I would of. I’m trying not to test early. I’m half tempted to go and buy one though but I think I’m out this cycle! Ahh glad your pms has gone, Shane about the brown cm 😩. How’s your HR today? That’s a great way to look at it ☺️

@Juno231 come on peak!!!!

@SS123456 ah hope your COVID test comes back negative. Don’t worry about your HR to much. It can change a lot in pregnancy.

So 11dpo, HR only went up by 1! Feeling twingy today and boobs feel heavy. That’s about it. FF said my temps are stable but god knows if that’s a good thing or not 🤣

LarasMama · 02/01/2021 12:28

@Moominmiss I will give the ubiquinol a go. I also researched soy last night, and O don’t think it would work for me because of my thyroid issues. Do you also take something to improve cm quality?

@SS123456 I wouldn’t worry too much right now. It could be your sleep pattern. Mine also dropped a bit after the first few weeks and later picked up again. Hopefully it picks up again tomorrow 🙏🏻

@mumof23188 If you don’t have any tests, I’d probably wait it out a bit. I hate wasting tests. 😂So turns out that my PMS is gone because the brown discharge turned into AF this morning. So hello, CD1! 😊 Lp was 11-12 days, which isn’t too bad. RHR dropped by 1 bpm as expected.

Hi ladies just marking my place to keep up with you all 🥰 thanks for the tag @Juno231

lucyrp · 02/01/2021 12:50

@SS123456 I wouldn't worry about your rhr too much now it's probably the worst thing you can do. I still look at mine but it's been pretty all over the place. I turn 7 weeks today and this is mine ☺️it's gone down since I got my BFP

Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 5
Moominmiss · 02/01/2021 15:39

@LarasMama ah yes I’m not clued up on how soy might affect other issues going on.
I don’t take anything for cm as I tend to get plenty of the ewcm at the right times etc.

GlassLily · 03/01/2021 05:54

Thanks for the tag @Juno231. I am really struggling this month. After my HR trolled me last week I tested twice in the end, cycle was 31 days compared to the usual 27-28. Then AF showed up one morning like an absolute sledgehammer and I was in agony. About 5x worse than my normal pain.

So I stopped taking my B complex and am now thinking to just have half a tablet per day this month, and maybe stop at 13 DPO.

@Moominmiss that is interesting about soy, I am tempted to try it, but my TSH is borderline for underactive thyroid so probably won't.

I just want anything new to try at this stage!

mumof23188 · 03/01/2021 07:59

@LarasMama yes I didn’t bother getting any. We had lots of snow yesterday so we had a snow day. DS loved it 😍. Ohhhhh no, sorry to hear AF showed!! Glad your LP was a bit longer though. Hopefully you get your Libra baby ☺️.

@GlassLily that sounds horrendous. Has it all finished now? Hope you are ok! I’ve no idea about b6 sorry.

12dpo today and I’m out. Temp has started dropping. Gutted!! HR went up to 66!

Juno231 · 03/01/2021 09:16

@mumof23188 I'd trust the RHR more than the temp at this stage! Temps can be all over anyway 🤞

@GlassLily jeepers that does not sound like fun. Did you test at all cause it kinda sounds like it could have been a CP? Can I ask what your tsh is at?

Well my peak is still MIA! Had a decent amount of EWCM yesterday though and after my opks going blank for the last two days they're back to showing a second line today so hopefully it'll happen soon.

Now that I'm doing dry Jan I'm hoping to reach 63bpm today - haven't seen numbers that low for a while 🤣

@lucyrp thank you! I'm so worried about the affects of covid on the pregnancy as I'm only 6 weeks 2 days

GlassLily · 03/01/2021 11:24

@Juno231 I tested twice on 11DPO and the evening of 13DPO, both totally blank. Part of me wishes it was a CP, just to know I'm even able to conceive, sorry if that sounds horrible! But I don't think it can have been with the blank tests.

My TSH is 3.9 which the doctor says is fine, but of course there is loads online about how it shouldn't be over 2.5 for TTC so I don't really know whether I should worry or not. Have you had thyroid issues?

mumof23188 · 03/01/2021 12:05

@Juno231 thank you! I just assumed I was out. I probably am out though 🤣

Great the lines reappeared, hope peak is today or tomorrow 🤞. 🤣🤣 did you reach 63?

@GlassLily I don’t think that sounds horrible. Think it’s normal to worry that you can’t conceive. Are you trying for your first?

I just had a look back at my TSH level from Dec 2019 and it was 0.309 mlu/L does that sound normal?

mumof23188 · 03/01/2021 16:15

Omg ladies!! Just got my BFP!! I can’t believe it!!!

@LarasMama it came up instantly. I couldn’t believe it!! Still in shock. It is super strong isn’t it. Thank you so much 🥰
