TTC after a chemical pregnancy / early miscarriage

Hi everyone, on a few really supportive threads on here but thought I’d make another for anyone who may be in a similar position to me and we can support eachother... I’m petrified of trying again after last month tbh.

Last week I thought our dreams had finally come true when I got 3 BFP (including a digital!).. a week later I was bleeding and a call to the EPU confirmed it was a chemical pregnancy / early miscarriage.. so I’m back here and tomorrow will be CD1 cycle 4 (I know so many people have been trying so much longer) but just didn’t expect to be back so soon after getting a BFP.

So tomorrow marks CD5.. AF is due around 1st August and I promise to not POAS (apart from the one I need to pee on tomorrow to confirm the pregnancy is gone!) until 8th August if AF doesn’t show.. I can’t risk seeing a chemical and testing early again so have told myself never again will I test early.

Would love some buddies along the way with me 🤞🏼🌈❤️
@Balajake I'm so so sorry for what you went through, I'm in tears just reading this. You've been through so much sweetheart. You're right sometimes people don't get it especially if you already have kids, it's almost like why do you want more. But they just don't understand and we can't be cross at them for their lack of understanding. I'm so sorry for what you had to go through on Christmas Day of all days. Please continue to post here as we are here to support you. Make sure you're getting loads of rest. Will you be going back to epu for bloods to check hcg levels? Just take it one day at a time, you will get through this ❤️❤️❤️
Thankyou so much for reading. I won’t go for anymore tests as I’ve done cheapies everyday since I started bleeding and they are now stark white negative. It’s been 11 days and I had ovulation pain quite bad yesterday so I know I ovulated yesterday which I didn’t expect. I couldn’t confirm LH surge because I wasn’t going to start testing for a few days. Physically I’m ok and rest to start TTC again. Scans confirmed everything ok in my uterus and she said my ovaries looked good

We DTD yesterday and today so all I can do now it’s hope and pray xxx

@Mishmased you may be one of the most supportive and encouraging humans I’ve ever come across! What a wonderful person you are, always there with something lovely to say!

@Balajake I’m so, so sorry you’ve been through all of that recently. And you’re the best mum for doing your best to hide your pain at Christmas for your kids.
I cant comment much on how it feels to be in this position with kids already as we’re trying for our first, but I can say that I don’t think your pain is any less just because you have children already! It doesn’t matter, it’s all relative and it’s all real ♥️
Yes, rest lots and hopefully some much happier news is just around the corner!

Balajake · 03/01/2021 18:46

Thankyou Amy 🙂

Mishmased · 03/01/2021 19:55

That's a very kind post @Amy259 ❤️❤️ I believe this what these boards are here for to provide support and lift each other's spirits.

@Balajake glad to hear all is well and you're back to ttc. I hope the next coming weeks brings positive news for everyone.

Mishmased · 05/01/2021 20:12

I'm currently going through a CP and this has been a comforting read, you are all so lovely and supportive @Littlebee1990 I'd love to hear how you're getting on! I have a 1 year old boy and he's just the best! I've almost read this whole thread just got a bit of catching up to do xx

Sorry to everyone who has experienced a loss xx

Littlebee1990 · 15/01/2021 15:06

@EmilyG1989 Hey! I’m so sorry to hear of your CP, sending lots of love. I also enjoy reading through a thread from start to current and seeing where everything is, I hope it’s what you needed right now. Lovely to hear you have a baby boy already, tell me how amazing they are as we’re expecting a boy too hahah!

I’m 23 weeks on Sunday and going well thank you.

I hope you’re not in too much pain? If it’s any comfort I feel pregnant the 2nd cycle after my CP ❤️

@Littlebee1990 aww yes I saw that you were having a boy!! I'm not in any pain luckily, just slight cramping. Didn't expect it (no one does I guess) so told family and got a bit carried away. Very disappointing but we're getting back to it ASAP ☺️ xx

Mishmased · 16/01/2021 03:11

Hib@EmilyG1989 sorry to hear about your experience❤️❤️
Good to hear your update @Littlebee1990 I'm 21 weeks now and symptoms are beginning to get better although I just woke up feeling a combination of nausea/heartburn/indigestion.

EmilyG1989 · 16/01/2021 06:57

@Mishmased congratulations!! Aah the joy of those pesky symptoms hey 😂🤢 xx

Mishmased · 16/01/2021 07:06

@EmilyG1989 thanks, I know I shouldn't complain and be grateful, but I'm only human 😊

EmilyG1989 · 16/01/2021 07:08

@Mishmased ugh it makes you feel rotten! No judgement here 😘
Do you know what you're having? xx

Mishmased · 16/01/2021 07:10

@EmilyG1989 thanks haha, especially when I've been awake since 2am. I have my anomaly scan on Tuesday, fingers crossed we'll be able to find out. Although DH is no longer allowed to come since last Monday and he is not impressed 😆

EmilyG1989 · 18/01/2021 18:26

@Mishmased hi hun, I don't suppose you can see my other thread I created 🤔 MN seem to have deleted it, shame as a few of us had been chatting about TTC

Mishmased · 18/01/2021 18:47

@EmilyG1989 I saw it last night when I posted on it. Why was it deleted?

Mishmased · 18/01/2021 18:48

@EmilyG1989 I just bumped the thread, it hasn't been deleted.

Mishmased · 22/01/2021 05:24

Hi guys how are you all keeping? Hope the lockdown isn't too hard on anyone? Just wanted to say hello as it has been quiet here lately 🙁
Stay safe everyone and say hello when you feel up to it ❤️❤️❤️

Boo2020 · 27/01/2021 21:02

Hey ladies, well I've just had a peak on CD28 🙈..my last cycle was 33 days so i don't know whats going on there! But I started using concieve plus fertility tablets this cycle on CD6 so not sure if thats got anything to do with the late ovulation! Anyone had these tablets before??

Boo2020 · 03/02/2021 20:32

Anyone in the 2ww? I'm about 5-6 dpo!

Mishmased · 03/02/2021 21:22

Hey @Boo2020 how're you keeping? Fingers crossed for you.x

Boo2020 · 03/02/2021 22:06

@Mishmased I'm not to bad thank you! Im just in the dreaded 2ww..driving myself crazy symptom spotting ..

How are you doing? x

Mishmased · 03/02/2021 22:28

@Boo2020 All good here, mad busy with work. I'm assuming it's crazy busy for the girls as it has been so quiet here lately. Was going to reply to your post the other day but I got distracted. How did ttc go last month?

Boo2020 · 03/02/2021 23:16

@Mishmased definitely ovulated last cycle and covered it but nothing 😔 it was a really strange one actually, I had a luteal phase of 8 days, Af came and it was so heavy lasted 10 days 😒..

So I am hoping at least if I don't get my BFP my luteal phase is over 11 days long!..I've also started concieve plus fertility tablets this cycle so here's hoping 🙏

Yeah i think you might be right with it being quite on here, I'm on furlough until March or until my son goes back into school so the same cleaning and homeschooling every day here for me x

Mishmased · 04/02/2021 04:57

I really hope this is your month @Boo2020
I saw your query about conceive plus, never used it but a pharmacist friend gave me proceive plus a few years back and she said it was very good. Didn't use it as we were trying to avoid pregnancy at the time.
When is your period due?

Homeschooling is intense here too. How old is your son? My eldest turned 8 last week and he has so much work to do. His 5 year old brother is pretty much the same.
I try to do a lot of my 8 year olds work the days I'm off as he needs help sometimes. Got a message from the teacher saying 'well don't you're flying it, take a look at the extra work of you like'. I was like ehh.. no thanks woman!
