TTC after a chemical pregnancy / early miscarriage

Hi everyone, on a few really supportive threads on here but thought I’d make another for anyone who may be in a similar position to me and we can support eachother... I’m petrified of trying again after last month tbh.

Last week I thought our dreams had finally come true when I got 3 BFP (including a digital!).. a week later I was bleeding and a call to the EPU confirmed it was a chemical pregnancy / early miscarriage.. so I’m back here and tomorrow will be CD1 cycle 4 (I know so many people have been trying so much longer) but just didn’t expect to be back so soon after getting a BFP.

So tomorrow marks CD5.. AF is due around 1st August and I promise to not POAS (apart from the one I need to pee on tomorrow to confirm the pregnancy is gone!) until 8th August if AF doesn’t show.. I can’t risk seeing a chemical and testing early again so have told myself never again will I test early.

Would love some buddies along the way with me 🤞🏼🌈❤️

It’s pinching like a dull ache over the left side but it’s ok
But I’m right at the start and I know this will get worse before it gets better :(
I have weeks of treatment and 48 hours bloods to go through 😔😔😔

@Boc86 I’m so so so sorry dear. That’s so heartbreaking. I had an early mc last Friday and it I physically crumbled when I noticed what was happening. It’s so cruel. Please look after yourself and wish you the best when you decide to try again. Good luck x🌈🌈

Just got to hope it doesn’t continue to grow and rupture my tube and there’s just nothing but waiting to see if that happens
It is currently growing it would for 4 weeks and my tests get darker everyday so this could be my reality :(

Oh @Boc86 what a horrible thing to be going through. How did they discover it was ectopic, from the pains? Hope you’re getting lots of rest and being looked after ♥️♥️

Hi everyone, I am currently bleeding/having af, tested positive last weekend, was super excited as it was our first month TTC. Tested negative on weds morning and 'af' came, like clockwork.
Im not too upset as I was so gobsmacked we got a BFP first try. I was worried because of our ages and my OH smokes so thought we'd have more issues, so in a way, the CP has reassured me we can conceive.
Looking forward to the next FW.

I honestly have no ectopic symptoms it was the biggest shock of my life
I had just low down middle pelvis heavy achey uterus feeling and brown bleeding. Nothing else but went to epu and they found ectopic :(

Had a couple of days off mn while AF has been and focus on work. Sorry to the newcomers we have but welcome to such a wonderful group of people 💕

Next steps are hcg again today to check what my levels are doing
If they’re going down they use what’s called expectant management, your body hopefully just absorbs it and they check your bloods every 2 days for weeks and weeks till the hcg is zero
If my hcg levels today have stayed the same or risen a little I have to take a cancer drug to stop cells dividing and again it should absorb and id need bloods every 2 days till my hcg is zero, I cannot ttc for 3 months after this drug 😔
If today’s levels are shooting up and the pain gets worse and I become unwell it’s straight into surgery to lose my tube
I’m absolutely terrified :(

@boc86 fingers crossed it can be managed with medication and monitoring. How are you feeling physically? xx

Sadly today’s pregnancy tests are MUCH MUCH darker like shockingly so which means my levels are not going down or remaining the same so now waiting for it to absorb and doing nothing isn’t an option 😔😔 it’s the cancer drug or surgery to remove my tube 😔😔

I’m ok I felt a little unwell last night but perhaps all the adrenaline and shock leaving my body
I had pain on the left all day yesterday which got worse as the day went on but then it disappeared in the evening and hasn’t returned yet

Oh no 😔 you will definitely have heightened stress hormones and adrenaline which will be exhausting. Maybe the pressure of being upright all day made the pain worse. It's not the same, but I had an emergency appendectomy 5 years ago and the pain for that was worse in the evening before they whipped it out.

Are you seeing anyone today? Try and go easy on yourself. Can you have a bubbly bath with some chill music? Maybe have a good cry to release some emotion. Xx

@Boc86 oh my goodness, this has escalated so quickly. Sorry you have to go through this. Rooting for you and praying the medications work. @MamaMoonbeam yeah there’s a definite difference 6-8pm, last night and the night before
Yes I have my hcg bloods at the hospital at 1:30pm
I was just totally empty and numb all day yesterday, then one group of friends had flowers and a card delivered and my other friend delivered chocs and a card and I just sobbed and sobbed about how horribly unfair and sad this is all :(

@Lille4 thank you so much, honestly it’s been the biggest shock of my life, I was so so happily pregnant with tons of symptoms 4 days ago :(
