First month of ttc

Hey girls... thought I'd make a new post I'm struggling to find new ones 😂 I'm 28 nearly 29 and my other half is also the same age! I'm currently on my period and this is the month we have decided to start trying! I'm so excited but also do not want to get my Hope's up as I know it can be a very long journey to get that BFP! Anyone else trying this month? I'm looking to get ovulation sticks to increase my chances xxx

Okay so my willpower to will/must wait until Monday as previously stated, has totally gone out the window! My partner is working a nightshift and I literally couldn't stop thinking about the digital test I have... Thinking to myself that it would help me know for definite, but also knowing it would only be just over 50% accurate today and its not first morning wee so I could end up with a "not pregnant"..... I braced myself for it and OMG I GOT A BFP!!!! I squeeled with delight but now have to hold it in as I can't tell partner until he is home from work at 5.45am!!!

How are you going to tell your other half?

@Mc3209 I think I will have to tell him as soon as he is home at 5.45am so I will keep the test in the bedside drawer and show him it when he climbs into bed :) otherwise I will have to wait until he wakes up at around 1pm and that wait will kill me!

Aaah congratulations @daisy2206! I bet it will feel a long night now before your partner gets home and you can tell him!

It already feels super long! I've had a bath to try and distract myself but I just keep googling pregnancy stuff!!

So cute!!!!! Ahhh roll on next week when it should be around my fertile time! My next period is due around the 28th of Feb so will be testing around then 🤗 trying not to get my Hope's up but @Daisy2206 you have got me excited knowing thay it can happen first time round! Lol xxx

I hope you don't mind me jumping in on this! This is our first month TTC. I'm on CD7 and I'm already so impatient waiting for ovulation! Good luck to you all!

@Elley2912 omg I'm on CD7 to! I have an average of a 32 day cycle... I've just ordered the clear blue ovulation test kit so I'm hoping it will be around day 14-17 so about a week to wait xxx

@abby25 Wow that's crazy we have the same dates! I came off my pill in December and had my withdrawal bleed so this will be my first cycle after that. There's really no knowing whether things are actually back to normal for me this month or not! I hope so! I'm not going to use ovulation tests this month. I'm just going to see what happens. My app is predicting 10th for ovulation! Wishing you luck! It would be so fun if it worked out for us both this month!

Ahhh fingers crossed! My apps predicting the 13th we are going to have sex every other day until I get my positive ovulation stick! I'm just so impatient I want to get trying now Haha xxxx

And I'm so impatient that I'm already thinking pregnancy tests lol! 🙈 does anyone know which are the best ones to get? Also, I know I should probably just wait until my period is due before testing but I'm not sure if I will be able to when the time comes! Has anyone tested early, or is anyone planning to test early, or are you waiting for AF to be overdue first?

@nora11 my app says my fertile window starts tomorrow too! I did cave and do an ovulation test already and the line is hardly visible still. I don't know if this is normal or not but it's making me think that perhaps my body still isn't back to normal after coming off my pill. I hope I'm wrong! Time will tell! I keep telling myself that I'll wait until my missed period to test but I know I'll be sitting there like 1DPO testing haha. So impatient. Wishing all the best for you.

@Nora11 I used really cheap £1 ones that I bought from BnM 5 days early and got a faint positive... Which I then confirmed with a clear blue digital (also early). Its so hard not to test early when the time comes 😂🙈 I kept telling myself I wouldn't, but I did!

Ah I'm so jealous everyone is ovulating before me 😫🤣 I dont know if I've ordered a fake clear blue ovulation kit... I ordered on Amazon and been a few reviews saying it's fake etc and doesnt work 😫 so think I'm going to have to buy some cheap ones from home bargains just incase! Keep me updated I want to hear about all your BFP :) xxx

And jesus dont get me started on pregnancy tests I'm going to be doing one every day Haha xxx

@Elley2912 My ovulation test is doing the same thing - negative. Although I have a pretty regular cycle, and according to my own calculations and app predictions ovulation should be around 6th of Feb. So I am hoping for the best.
