First month of ttc

Hey girls... thought I'd make a new post I'm struggling to find new ones 😂 I'm 28 nearly 29 and my other half is also the same age! I'm currently on my period and this is the month we have decided to start trying! I'm so excited but also do not want to get my Hope's up as I know it can be a very long journey to get that BFP! Anyone else trying this month? I'm looking to get ovulation sticks to increase my chances xxx

@TFC90 I was hoping to avoid doing ov checks as didn't want to get too into it too soon but I should of known I'd spend my days symptom spotting. Especially since If I had 28 day cycles before pill I'd technically be 28 days late for period .

Went to see the doc around Cd46 and she said it was normal and just to test once every 2 weeks until either bfp or af shows up. tested yesterday cd55 to a bfn on frer so think it's unlikely I've even ov'd yet. Had a feeling I wasn't preg even before test but thought I'd better check before I crack open the red wine tonight!

I've been lurking for a couple of weeks and decided to join if you'll have me!

This is our first month TTC, we got married 6 months ago and I had my implant removed start of Jan. I think I ovulated maybe Monday or Tuesday so I'm in the dreaded wait time and honestly I never thought I'd be this obsessed. Want to buy tests already!!!

Is anyone doing anything to distract themselves and prevent insanity?!? xx

Thankfully the work has been busy in the past few days (and will be for the next few days) for me, so that helps not to obsess. Next weekend we are going away to Paris as a weekend getaway, so it will either be a celebration or (more likely) I will be drowning my sorrows in red wine and soft cheese.

Can you get pains when you are ovulating?

Also what apps are best to use when TTC?

Some people feel ovulation, I am not one of them. And even if I did feel something I would probably be blaming it on a stuck fart or something 😜
I am using Ovia to track.

Congratulations everyone who has got a BFP! I think I'm out this month I read online about your cervix being high and soft if pregnant? And I just felt mine and it's really hard 😫il still test on Saturday just to makesure but think il have to wait till next month now xxx

I know this is TMI but a weird thing happened today. I went to the bathroom thinking AF arrived early (not due until 24th) but when I got there realised my underwear was very wet (like if I could have changed I would have kind of wet). I've never experienced anything like this before. Everything I read gives wetness as a sign of fertile period but I had my positive OPK nearly a week ago. Very strange.

Could be a good sign! I've had hardly any cm the past week I've got sore boobs but I always get thel before my period xxx

I had to come off some medication to try and get pregnant so planned everything as carefully as possible to try and get minimal amount of time off meds.
I started Ovulation sticks 6 months before so I knew exactly what was going on. I got fit for 6 months, took conception vitamins, ate well, minimised alcohol etc. I got pregnant first month.
Did the same when ready for second child and again got pregnant first month. So it can happen.

Suppose we just have to wait to test.... its sooooo longgggggg just want to do it now so I know for definate but defo havent got my hopes up this month just have a feeling it's going to be negative... xxx

My OH just thinks u have sex once without contraception and you instantly get pregnant 1😂 I've had to give him the whole sex talk of how a womans body works etc hes getting his Hope's up hes convinced I'm going to be pregnant straight away and I've told him to calm down as it may not happen so quick xxx

I am feeling a bit all over the shop with random symptoms. Yesterday had lower belly cramps, just like AF-is-coming cramps. Those are gone today, but I am feeling a bit off coffee and generally a bit nauseated. Not sure what's going on.

@Mc3209 ah your symptoms are setting in! Yea I hear most people go off certain foods etc while pregnant! Have you had any cravings? And hello @pineapple2 I'm 6dpo today! I'm not feeling positive though convinced I'm not going to be pregnant Haha xxx

@abby25 I honestly had the same conversation with my Husband.. he didn't know about ovulation or anything, just that periods come monthly!! But now he's too clued up and won't let me buy tests yet cause he knows it's too early, probably a good thing I would have tested already without him and only about 5/6 DPO 😂

😂😂 my other half wanted me to test yesterday and I had to explain to him we need to wait till around my period is due! I'm buying a first response for Saturday just want to know so I'm not overthinking xxx

Have you been experiencing any symptoms.
I spot them every month and always ends in disappointment 

I've been gassy which I'm not usually..DH is like "what's going on with your ass" lol
Little cramping although that could be my imagination and picking up on every single thing..
And feeling lightheaded on a few occasions..

I'm not holding out much luck either @abby25 we have been trying half heartedly for over 2 years but this time I've been tracking, opk and using pressed this time plus a shed load of vitamins..
If af comes on the 27th I'm buying a puppy and that will be that as I can't take the disappointment anymore

@pineapple2 ah bless you what ovulation tests have you been using? I tried the clear blue advanced a lot easier to read etc I'm due on the 28th but think can test earlier as I ovulated earlier then what my app predicted! I've got a dog and he is my baby 😂 me and my OH adore him and do treat him like a child people think we are crazy Haha xxx

We have got a French bulldog lol
Also I've got an 18 year old from a previous relationship. I'm 37 so had her when I was a lot younger.
Has anyone else got any children
