First month of ttc

Hey girls... thought I'd make a new post I'm struggling to find new ones 😂 I'm 28 nearly 29 and my other half is also the same age! I'm currently on my period and this is the month we have decided to start trying! I'm so excited but also do not want to get my Hope's up as I know it can be a very long journey to get that BFP! Anyone else trying this month? I'm looking to get ovulation sticks to increase my chances xxx

Getting impatient waiting for my period now 😂 it’s been 39 days since my last started. Just want to ‘reset’ so we can start again 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hi all! Just introducing myself - my husband and I were married quickly and without friends or family a few years ago right before I had to move away for a year for a job posting. We planned to have a wedding this August and start trying immediately after, however as that's now been pushed to August 2021, we're going to start trying now!

I'm so, so excited. It took a while to get my coil removed due to COVID, but it came out yesterday. I've always had light but regular periods with it on, so hoping my body is good to go. My period is due in about 5 days, so I think we missed our window this month, but am so looking forward to properly trying in a few weeks.

I think to start we'll for the SMEP, because I'm trying to stay relaxed for the first few tries (I can get a bit obsessive haha). However I've ordered a BBT and OPKs, and am sure I'll use those as a guide as well.

Good luck to everyone else in their first cycle of trying! I hope it's not too long for any of us! :)

Good luck @Littlebubswanted! Girls what ovulation test strips do you use? I dont want to buy the expensive clear blue ones again but I want ones that actually work 🤣 xxx

@abby25 I'm using easy@home OPKs - only used them twice so far to get a feel for it, but they seem really good and have great reviews on Amazon.

I’ve just got cheapie ones off amazon.
Not that I have used any yet... day 43 of my cycle and no sign of a period 😂 this is annoying!

Just come on my period! So I was right I must have ovulated super early for some reason! I wasnt due till Saturday! Atleast now I can get ready with those sticks! I'm NOT missing it again Haha xxx

@abby25 still in the same position as before, still haven’t come on my period... think I’m on day 51 now? Nightmare!

Hey @abby25 ! If I don’t get BFP this month I think I’m going to track with sticks too. What cycle day are you on?

Oh no @Ughmaybenot that’s so frustrating! I had a weird cycle last month and it’s horrible isn’t it. Really hope something happens soon for you

@Littlepeas2 thank you! it’s the worst, altho not entirely unexpected, my cycle is always all over the place. It is just frustrating tho as we’re sort of stuck in this weird middle ground.
Not only that but my husband is now starting to get really busy with work, leaving before I’m awake and coming back early hours of the morning so I’m going to have to go find him in his tractor when we do get going again at this rate 😂

@Ughmaybenot what a nightmare are you normally late? Are you using ovulation sticks? I read online sometimes your body fails to ovulate then it trys again! @Littlepeas2 I'm on CD 10 today my ovulation sticks look like they are starting to get a bit darker so hopefully not to long! What about you? If this month fails I think I'm going to have a breakdown 🤣🤣🤣Xxx

@abby25 tell me about it. Honestly my cycle is all over the place, always has been. Anywhere from 14 days to 58 days and everywhere in between in the last 18 months 🤦🏼‍♀️ more often than not it’s between 32 and 48 days tho.
I did not know that. Maybe I should’ve been checking ovulation then. We’ve still been doing a minimum of every other day to DTD, so I’m hopeful I guess.
I keep making the mistake of reading about it tho, and then thinking maybe I don’t ovulate at all. Not ideal when I can’t really do much about it right now due to coronavirus!

@ughmaybenot get the ovulation sticks off Amazon called easy@home... and then download the app premom you then have to take a pic of your test every day and it makes a chart for you! That's what I've got this month xxx

@abby25 the delayed ovulation is definitely real! Last month I had EWCM 12dpo which I thought could possibly be something to do with implantation and then 14 days later I came on (CD47) so I definitely think ovulation failed first time round. So this time I am going to continue to DTD 3 times a week right up until AF (hopefully no AF 😂)

I definitely think I’m going to look into those ovulation sticks though.
