Two week wait...again

BabyB19 · 22/10/2019 15:28

Hi mums/mumstobe, I’m currently in the two week wait after having a MMC (missed miscarriage) in June at 12 weeks. After a 10 week bleed I have settled into what seems to be a normal cycle again appx27/28 days. I’m saying I’m in the two week wait but I’m unsure if I’ve even OV. Anyone want to keep me company as I’m going out of my mind and feel like I’m boring the real people in my life 🤦🏽‍♀️

I'm in the same boat.

Also had a MMC in September... now in the TWW... only just though haha

xx

BabyB19 · 22/10/2019 16:29

Thank the Lord I have a friend! How long did it take you the first time? This is my second cycle trying this time but initially I got caught on the first so although I know it's not at all a long time I'm already impatient 🤦🏽‍♀️

Me! I had a MC in September, had my first period 2 weeks ago so think I should have ovulated in the last few days if everything is back to "normal". I haven't been OPK testing or anything as I don't want to start obsessing about it yet.

It's nice to be able to talk about it on here, other people who haven't been through an MC just don't get it :-(

BabyB19 · 22/10/2019 16:34

I honestly think it's only Mumsnet that has got me through it, as much as my friends family and partner have been amazing, they just don't understand. Good luck to you both for this cycle Smile I'm currently 6dpo and already testing daily with ICs even though I know that's ridiculous! Not tried the opk's yet though xx

I had my implant removed in July, and a BFP four weeks later!!

So very similar to you... I am expecting it to now happen straight away again and know I will be disappointed when it doesn't!

I only got my static yesterday, so at the very beginning of the TWW... busy next couple of weeks though, so hopefully wont stress too much!

BabyB19 · 22/10/2019 17:00

What does that mean, you got your static? I didn't have to bother with any of the OV kind of stuff last time as it just happened so all that side is new to me?!
It seems like EVERYONE I know is telling me they're pregnant atm too and it sounds mean but I can't bring myself to be happy for them 😭

ceebee21 · 22/10/2019 17:20

The clear blue advance digital OV test works with smiley faces... a few days before OV you get a flashing smiley, then when it detects the LH surge you get a static smiley!

I must admit, the whole testing thing does become a bit obsessive... what cycle is this for you, 1st since the MMC?

BabyB19 · 22/10/2019 17:24

I can imagine, I think I'll try and stay away from that side of things for now if I can as I'm already obsessed. I had the mmc in June followed by 10 weeks of bleeding including a haemorrhage which put me back in hospital, this is the 2nd cycle that has seemed back to 'normal' so I would say second cycle of actually trying but I haven't been back in contraception at any point. Sorry for the long explanation but I don't actually really know 🤦🏽‍♀️ xx

Hi girls, can I join?

Trying for baby #1 for the first time after a 9 month break, I had 3 miscarriages last year so I've had months of tests this year and only just been able to try again this month.

Ovulated last week so should be able to test from 30/11. Excited! I'm on progesterone pessaries at the moment so feeling quite sluggish from those, so it's hard to tell if any symptoms are due to the progesterone or if they are actual symptoms!

siaa · 22/10/2019 21:56

That should've said 30/10!!

ceebee21 · 22/10/2019 22:16

@BabyB19 Oh gosh, a long time to recover then. I went for surgical management and bled for just under 2 weeks, but wasn’t two heavy. OV about 1 week after the bleeding stopped.

Welcome @siaa sorry to hear about your losses, I hope we all get our BFP this cycle

Xxx

siaa · 22/10/2019 22:27

Thanks @ceebee21, sorry to hear about your loss as well. Thinking positive thoughts for us all.

Is anyone experiencing any symptoms? What day is everyone testing?

Gr1ff · 22/10/2019 22:40

@siia AF should be due on the 5th but I might try a FRER on the weekend of the 2nd/3rd as I'm too impatient! I've had the worst back ache today but trying not to think anything of it as I'm sure it way too soon for any symptoms right?

BabyB19 · 22/10/2019 23:10

Welcome @siaa I'm so sorry that you've been through that once was bad enough.

I've had backache too today but like you am trying not to read too much into it just incase

I will Be testing every day like a maniac there's no point me even denying it. Should be 7dpo tomorrow so I know that will be a bfn anyway but still can't help myself.

I'm crazy nice to meet you Hmm

OP posts:
BabyB19 · 23/10/2019 08:14

Yep bfn this morning as expected..why are the days going so slow 😭 Confused

OP posts:
ceebee21 · 23/10/2019 09:14

@siaa @BabyB19 @ Gr1ff - sorry just read my last post, two should be too!

I am due to test around 4th November, will probably cave and test that weekend though... the 2nd or 3rd!

Not feeling very positive... just don't want to work myself up for a BFP to be then disappointed!

BabyB19 · 23/10/2019 10:54

Morning ceebee, I'm feeling the same, although I've got backache still I'm getting over a cold so trying to be realistic about what that might mean, the backache was what gave it away last time though so it's hard not to cling. I'm going to really try and hold off on the tests at least for a few days as AF not due until 31st so I know it's too early. Try to stay positive, I'm going to buy some nice bath bombs and stuff after work to fill my evenings with nice calming treats to take my mind off it, maybe you should do the same Thanks xx

ceebee21 · 23/10/2019 11:08

@BabyB19 - I know what you mean, I feel like if I get anything I will just be thinking, did I have this last time... I didn't really have any major symptoms last time I must admit.

Luckily I am pretty busy - going to Venice tomorrow for 3 days... have American family visiting over the next couple weeks, so lots to do with them, and my sisters wedding next Friday - so fingers crossed this TWW will fly by... I can only hope haha

xx

BabyB19 · 23/10/2019 12:20

@ceebee21 how far along did you get last time? Or is this not your first child?
Hopefully all that exciting stuff will keep your mind at rest!
I'm going out tomorrow night but feel guilty drinking just incase! Xx

OP posts:
ceebee21 · 23/10/2019 12:24

@BabyB19 no, this is my first.

I went for a scan at 9 weeks, but looked like baby stopped growing at about 5 1/2 weeks.. just makes me really nervous, feel like it will happen again!

How far along were you?

xx

BabyB19 · 23/10/2019 12:34

I found out at my 12 week scan and baby had stopped growing about 9 weeks, my sister had had two MC prior to this and I was nervous anyway so I paid for a private scan at 8 weeks and seen the heartbeat etc so I had just finally started relaxing Confused I've just had someone else in work tell me my clock is ticking and I need to get a move on, I want to punch him, he doesn't even have a womb he shouldn't be allowed an opinion Angry xx

OP posts:
ceebee21 · 23/10/2019 12:47

@BabyB19 I would punch him... or at least same something to make him feel awful!!!!

If I fall pregnant again, I will definitely be going for an early scan... but I feel I could end up with one every week, as like you, so many see a a heartbeat at around 8/9 weeks, but then suffer a MMC and find out at the 12 week scan.

I don't think the worry about it will ever go away once you have suffered a MC...

I stupidly thought everything would be fine - I guess you do unless like you, you have had someone close to you go through similar.

If you don't mind me asking, has your sister fallen pregnant again following the MC?

x

Gr1ff · 23/10/2019 12:50

@BabyB19 I'm so sorry to hear that :-( I had the "how's married life, you'll be having babies soon" comment from a lady at work yesterday and I really wanted to turn around and tell her that actually I should be going for my 12 week scan this week if I hadn't miscarried. People are just so inconsiderate!

Could this TWW go any slower?!

BabyB19 · 23/10/2019 12:57

@Gr1ff people don't realise it's such an invasive question, we had the same last year after we got our first joint home. It's bloody rude!

@ceebee21 of course not ask anything you like, I feel like the complete honesty here is what gets us though, my sister has stopped trying for now, she found it really super difficult mentally and isn't ready to go through it again. She has time on her side though and she is only 25. At 32 I feel like I need to get a move on as I would like more than 1 if that's possible, although for now I would happily take an only child in a heartbeat xx

I just started a thread but will join you ladies, I'll be testing on 6/11 I think as I think I either ovulated yesterday or today (cramped last night and today). 5th cycle, 2nd baby!
If it doesn't happen this month I'm going to start using OPKs next month.
