Anyone starting their TTC journey in July 2019?

Anyone in the same boat? I'm 33 and from next week DH and I will be actively trying for #1. I'm excited, nervous, trying to be chill about it all but also imagining myself with a bump celebrating Xmas this year Grin

I started taking SS 'trying for a baby' supplements 4 weeks ago, not sure if it was their effects or not but this month my cycle was 20 days. Otherwise i'm 27 days always. Anyways, let's see what happens.

Hoping to find some pals in a similar place at the moment on here!

@Wearenotyourkind I didn’t even wait so goodness knows where I’m up to! I’m sure it will happen soon then you will be armed with more knowledge!

To those of you ovulation testing, fingers crossed you get a positive one soon!

@Wearenotyourkind waiting for that first period is incredibly frustrating. I felt like I was going mad but I found these chats and reading them really helped me to settle down, feel like there are other people experiencing the same things and realise you will get over this frustrating bit.
I was glad to finally have AF yesterday and now I’m in agony. However, keeping the positive attitude as my fertile window should be just round the corner.

@Wakemeupwithcoffee yes it was my first. I've been off the pill for 5 years but we weren't sure how we would get on because my OH has health issues we were told could affect his fertility, so we are over the moon. I feel perfect tbf... Boobs are a bit sore and I feel like my insides want to fall out (they feel heavy) but other than that I thought it was just AF coming. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Absa - sounds like you and I are in the same boat with a wedding next year to try and navigate around! What month is the wedding you're a bridesmaid at? Mine is my sisters in July, abroad (Spain). AF should be gone by tomorrow or Sunday, so we start again for August!

Thanks to people who commented on the pre-conception vitamins query. Decided I'll carry on with them for now. If I have another 20/21 day cycle this month (so 3rd in a row) I'll have a telephone appointment with the GP and see what they reckon.

@TurquoiseKiss @Absa I was a bridesmaid with my first at about 4 1/2 months. I had to have my dress altered! It was fine though!

I had EWCM this morning and also woke up in the night having a hot flush and now I’m worried I’m going to miss the boat! We have something stressful going on today with extended family so I’m not sure hubby will be in the mood! Trying to wait the full 4 hours to do the ovulation kit!

@TurquoiseKiss not until September so I have a few more months to play with without needing to worry about going into labour half way down the aisle and steeling the brides thunder 😂😂 Have a friends wedding in August.

I don't mind if I'm a bit pregnant or have just had a baby, just didn't want to be 8 1/2 months gone! Hehe!

Spain wedding sounds lovellllllyyy!!!

No positive OPKs yet for me but app reckons I'm just entering fertile window so will enjoy a weekend of DTD :) Away Sunday and Wednesday nights for work so more limited window this month.

No positive OPKs and I’m wondering what’s going on as the app says I’m fertile now and height of window is Monday but I put my dates into a couple of online calculators and they are saying my window has finished! I’m confused! Worried I’ve missed it now?!

Hi, good luck to everyone! We are TTC too. Came off pill in April and I didn’t have a period for over 90 days. Last Saturday I bleed for one day and very light. I’ve done a few tests during this time just to check as I have 2 DD with very different conceptions, One took 7 months to conceive and the other I didn’t have a period after coming off the pill and caught very quickly (they are now 7 and 5). My new BF and I decided we wanted a baby in jan but I’d just started a new job so we waited. So wish I’d come off the pill then! I’m also a bridesmaid in Spain next year so timing is important. I don’t mind being pregnant as long as I’m not too far gone to fly. In the mix as well, I’ve been investigated for ovarian cysts (larger than average but surgery not needed and dr thinks it has nothing to do with periods not starting). Just read all of that back and apologise for the waffle!! Fingers crossed for everyone! X

No EWCM since yesterday morning! I’ve realised my cycle is quite irregular looking at my diary.

@Wakemeupwithcoffee I never thought I’d have a bigger age gap but I had my first two 20 months together and would have liked a bigger gap looking back. Mine are both girls and are so good with babies (not that boys wouldn’t be!) x

So I’ve realised I didn’t have 25 day cycle saved in the app it had me down as 28! So according to that peak day was yesterday. We DTD Thursday morning and this morning so I’m hoping that’s covered it!? No positive on the ovulation kit though but I’m not sure I believe they work!! What are other people’s experiences with them?
