Anyone in the same boat? I'm 33 and from next week DH and I will be actively trying for #1. I'm excited, nervous, trying to be chill about it all but also imagining myself with a bump celebrating Xmas this year Grin

I started taking SS 'trying for a baby' supplements 4 weeks ago, not sure if it was their effects or not but this month my cycle was 20 days. Otherwise i'm 27 days always. Anyways, let's see what happens.

Hoping to find some pals in a similar place at the moment on here!

What pill were you on @dropthemic ? I was on cerazette. Been off it 3 weeks. Never thought I'd be wanting a bleed! I think I've had some days off ewcm too, but not 100% sure.

dropthemic · 26/07/2019 12:55

@Wearenotyourkind i was also on cerazette. GP reassured me I wouldnt need to come off it to get my cycles back on track, I should be fertile whenever I stopped. I'm less inclined to believe that now. I also never had a period in the 6years I was on it. Great at the time because they were so painful but now I wonder was it healthy, although again the GP assured me it was fine.
I also never thought I'd actually want AF to come, I used to dread it!

TurquoiseKiss · 26/07/2019 13:54

Wearenotyourkind I'm using fertility gel/lubricant (only once so far though). Read really good things about Conceive Plus that you have, but happened to be in Boots the other day and picked up FertileCheck's version as didn't see any CP on the shelves.

The one I have is tricky as you have to insert it with an applicator and then - as I discovered - lie flat or it'll all coming flooding out! It's super runny too compared to regular lube. So other times we've just reached for the ordinary stuff. We very rarely DTD without as DP is v.endowed. It'll just feel more regimented with the FertileCheck gel and pre-empting! There's 6 applications, I doubt we'll get through them very quickly Hmm

A little update from me to say I’m out for this month too. AF arrived this morning, which means this is my second month in a row with a much shorter cycle than usual. 21 days this time, 20 days the previous time. Feeling more deflated with the cycle change than arrival of AF (I didn’t have high hopes for BFP this month as per previous post!).

Onwards and upwards...will start using OPKs more consistently this month. I guess with these cycle changes I could be ovulating much earlier on than I thought.

Anyone know if you can input previous cycles to a new fertility app? Glo is all out of sync for me and predictions have never been totally right. However I have been inputting religiously since January so have 7 months of data! Keen to try another one, or have 2 on the go to compare? Thoughts please!

Have a good Sunday all!

Hey @TurquoiseKiss sorry to hear about your uninvited guest (AF). I've just checked on my Ovia app and looks like you can add historic data from the calendar tab.

I'm still waiting for my first bleed after coming over the pill nearly 4 weeks ago. Had ewcm (or what I thought was...I'm still not quite sure) and did an opk but nothing.

Hang in there all 😘

Absa · 28/07/2019 19:44

Hi @TurquoiseKiss . I'm day 4 or 5 now of AF and feeling excited to get into August for our second month of TTC. I've also bought some ovulation sticks and will use this month.

I use the Clue app, yes you can input previous data when you set it up. I've used Clue for a while now just to predict AF because I've been off the pill now for a couple of years (using condoms). I find it's pretty good at changing your cycle predictions depending on what data you add and when you start to use ovulation sticks you can put this kinda stuff in if you get pos / neg etc and it will update.

Hope AF packs bags and leaves soon for you!

Hello everyone, I hope you don’t mind me joining your chat. I’m 34 and this is my first time TTC.

I came off the pill (cerelle) on the 26th May. My cycle has always been a consistent 28 Days and sure enough exactly 28 days later I had a bleed. This lasted five days and I’m sure it must be the withdrawal bleed as I had no other bleeding in this time. It was about as heavy and normal as my typical periods. I’m using an Ava bracelet and from the first day of that withdrawlbleed/period I began to track my cycle. However, the predicted day of my next period has come and gone and I am now on day 37 of this cycle, 23DPO.
The Ava did predict an ovulation time frame but my period has not started to confirm this even happened and I have taken three PT and all negative. This not knowing and waiting is undeniably the hardest thing at the moment and I didn’t even consider it would be like this.

Like some of you my partner and I are not telling people we are TTC and although he listens great it’s nice to be able to chat with other women who are feeling the same things and going through the same things.
Good luck to you all wherever you are in your cycle just now X

Wearenotyourkind · 29/07/2019 16:55

Welcome @Positivity2019 nice to have more people in the same boat. And lots of similarities in your situation with some of us on here. It's good to share.

Harty89 · 29/07/2019 18:49

Hello everyone hope you all had a good weekend!

@TurquoiseKiss sorry to hear about AF fingers crossed for you for August! I use the clue app it’s pretty good at altering predictions the more information you give it, I’ve been using it for about a year as I had really irregular cycles while I was on the pill

Welcome @Positivity2019 long cycles are just the worst, hopefully you’ll get you BFP or even AF just so you can start your cycle again !

I’m on day 12 of my cycle so starting to use my OPKs hoping that will help this month be the one Smile

Wearenotyourkind · 29/07/2019 20:59

Fingers crossed @Harty89 !

10Rochford · 29/07/2019 22:07

Hello ladies how are you all. Im on day 10/11 dpo. its really killing me. Yesterday I had wewd (watery egg white discharge) and today brownish spotting and now nothing.. I took a pt on Fri morning but it was negative it was a first response early pt. uuugghh hopefully ill know asap xxxx

Nearlyusnai · 29/07/2019 22:11

Hi Girls,
Can I join in? I'm 29 ttc first baby. I'm 10dpo I'm climbing the walls. I did an early test tonight it was BFN but the voice in the back of my head is saying "it was night" "you have a bottle of juice before hand" "your only 10dpo" the disappointment is real.... I've no one to talk to as oh is out working and we aren't advertising the trying. We only really have this month or next then we have to stop as we are getting married next year and the timing would just be a disaster. I'm just trying to keep faith.

Positivity2019 · 29/07/2019 23:00

Thanks for the welcome!
@Harty89 BFP would be absolutely fantastic but I’ll be honest I’ve never been so keen for AF in my entire life. Good luck for a positive OPk!

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 30/07/2019 07:46

Hi ladies I wondered if I could join in? I am 38 and have two children 7 and 5. Although I always thought I’d have 3 or 4 we decided to stick with 2 for various reasons but now they are older and easier I can’t stop thinking about having another. We have been debating it for a year and put it off due to work stuff and a holiday but hubby is now on board and we’re gonna go for it! I feel quite anxious about it - is it the right decision - how will it impact my children, will it be harder being older etc but I think I’m going to regret it if I don’t try.

Going to give it a few months and see what happens. Got pregnant within first two months with my children but now I am older that may not happen!

Period started 22nd July and I have about a 25 day cycle so think I should be ovulating soon! Eek!

Bettyblue1 · 30/07/2019 08:25

Hi all, so my af will be leaving in a few days. My ovia app is telling me my fertile window is coming up soon. Has anybody got a game plan for this fertile window? I'm considering waiting until the actual day of ovulation and only dtd then. I know it minimises the chances of conception but part of me thinks dtd constantly like a full military operation during the fertile window isnt healthy for me. It defintely wasnt last cycle, by the time I was in the tww I was obsessed, sympton spotting like a maniac and quite frankly them two weeks felt like two years. So ladies, whats your game plan, if you have one? Also glad to see new user names added to the chat, Welcome everybody. The more the merrier!!

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 30/07/2019 12:52

@Bettyblue1 I’m not sure really I’m not really sure on all this stuff don’t track temp or anything like that! I was just gonna have a go once the EWCM appeared?? My period seems to be going on forever day 9 now and I read on one of these threads recently that taking the pre pregnancy vitamins can do that?

SugarPlumBaby · 30/07/2019 13:21

Hi everyone - hope I’m ok to join you, I’m 28 and we’re TTC for the first time, we only started this cycle but I’m so desperate for a baby it’s all I can think about.

Haven’t been on any hormonal contraceptives for about 5 years due to some personal issues and have been a religious period tracker too.

I ordered some ovulation sticks off Amazon and used those and had a positive reading on 28/7(CD12) & 29/7 although CD13 was weaker and nothing today.

I guess I just wait and see what happens now? It’s all very new to me!

Fingers crossed for everyone! Xx

Bettyblue1 · 30/07/2019 14:07

@Wakemeupwithcoffee, Day 9, holy shit!! I dont really track either but have recently downloaded an app and ordered some ovulation sticks to wee on today. I usually get ovulation symptons which tell me when Im ovulating but knowing my luck I wont get any this month and miss the boat. Welcome @SugarPlumBaby, this ttc malarkey can get quite stressful (for me anyway). Dont worry its pretty much all I think about too.

mrsrob90 · 30/07/2019 15:22

Hi ladies hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread! I am 29 in September and we currently have a little girl who will be 2 in September also. We got pregnant with her first cycle trying so never had much ttc experience last time.
We decided we wanted to try again and my last period arrived 13th July. Dtd 2x during my fertile window (using ovia app, which I had last time trying to conceive) Not wanting to use ovulation tests etc just yet as I Have the type of personality that I know would get obsessed and stressed if it didn't happen 😕
Not sure when to test as last time I got my frer bfp 10dpo and a clear blue digital positive 12dpo. Don't feel any different so I think deep down I know I'm out...i just hate this wait 🙈😂

Wearenotyourkind · 30/07/2019 19:24

Welcome @mrsrob90 @SugarPlumBaby @Wakemeupwithcoffee we are all in this together...and yes, so hard not to become completely obsessed!

Absa · 30/07/2019 21:31

AF left today, so once I'm home from work Friday it's game on for round 2!

Positivity2019 · 30/07/2019 22:02

Hello everyone,
@Wakemeupwithcoffee what an exciting decision for you and your husband. I am 8 years older than my youngest brother and I was super protective of him and chuffed to bits when he arrived so I’m sure your two children will be happy. Good luck for your first cycle!

@Bettyblue1 our game plan for DTD is to be sure it doesn’t become a chore. I’ve only had one fertile window so far (I think) and we managed to DTD four out of the five days including the ovulation day. However, that may not be necessary the case for every month. My partner and I are adamant we don’t want it to become like a military process every month. What you’ve said makes sense. Definitely DTD on the day of ovulation and any additional days you feel like it is a bonus.

Hope everyone else is fine X

Wakemeupwithcoffee · 30/07/2019 22:34

Ah that is lovely to hear thank you for sharing!

I’ve just got the Ovia app some of you have mentioned! It says fertile days start Friday while an online calculator said Thursday. Wondering if I should be investing in some ovulation stick things!

goodnightsugarpop · 31/07/2019 00:05

Hi everyone & welcome to the new people!

I haven't been on here much the last few days, I think the last time I posted on this thread was last Weds or Thurs when I was having some spotting & what I thought were PMS symptoms.... turns out it definitely wasn't my period Grin as the spotting stopped again & I had a positive test on Saturday morning!!

Still a little bit in shock, this is my first pregnancy & I never thought it would work first time, especially after all the dire warnings from unhelpful relatives about my age & weight (being all of 33 years old & a healthy active size 16.....)

I hope everyone else has similar good luck & gets their BFPs soon!!

Wearenotyourkind · 31/07/2019 06:42

Congratulations @goodnightsugarpop!!!
This is wonderful news and I'm so happy for you! Plus it gives us all hope xx
