Anyone in the same boat? I'm 33 and from next week DH and I will be actively trying for #1. I'm excited, nervous, trying to be chill about it all but also imagining myself with a bump celebrating Xmas this year Grin

I started taking SS 'trying for a baby' supplements 4 weeks ago, not sure if it was their effects or not but this month my cycle was 20 days. Otherwise i'm 27 days always. Anyways, let's see what happens.

Hoping to find some pals in a similar place at the moment on here!

@jx0x0 thank you, where are you in your cycle? Xx

jx0x0 · 02/06/2020 10:26

@Missgoldilocks I am 1DPO. We did SMEP this month. Really liked it actually. Would recommend. Will DTD later. Break tomorrow and then again Thursday. How about you?

Hope everyone is managing to enjoy a bit of this sunshine. X

Positivity2019 · 02/06/2020 14:33

Thanks for your words guys. I am so heartbroken. The excitement I had this past week was unreal and I feel like the carpet has been whipped out from under me.
I called the midwife unit at my local hospital On Monday, they have a 24/7 triage phone line. Spoke to a lovely midwife. She seems to think I will manage the miscarriage at home but to get back in touch if there are any problems. Once the bleeding stops I should take a pregnancy test to get confirmation. If it’s still coming up positive wait a week and try again. If still positive then call back for more advice.
I’m tired and emotional and feel lucky that my DP is amazing and my boss has been super supportive.
Cramps today are pretty strong, I would just like it to be over.

@Wearenotyourkind I’m so sorry to hear you are still waiting for things to progress. I can imagine the emotions you are going through. Such a sad time ❤️

@jx0x0 good job on following SMEP and good luck for this month. I’ve tried it before but we never managed to stick to it. May give it another go once we are ready to go again.

@Missgoldilocks I feel real lucky to have made for TTC buddy’s on here and the support is just so special. My friends are amazing but the friends we make on here who are experiencing many of the things you are at the same time is just invaluable. Hope you were ok over the weekend. AF means a new cycle and a new opportunity. I know it will be your turn soon.

Wearenotyourkind · 02/06/2020 14:44

@Positivity2019 I am so so sorry this is happening to you as well. It is utterly heartbreaking and there are few words that feel enough. Please know you are not alone though. If you feel it would be helpful, here is the thread I started (obviously no offence taken at all if it's not for you):

Miscarriage support www.mumsnet.com/Talk/miscarriage/3914822-miscarriage-support

We will get through this 💗

Just wanted to check in and send love to everyone.

This month has been an odd one for me. I got two LH surges one on day 13 and one on day 16. We were doing the SMEP plan - but because of x2 surges we ended up DTD for 7 days straight! Exhausted now! Has anyone else ever had two surges (with a gap in the middle)? My body is normally pretty consistent so was v surprised / confused.

Hope you're all well and enjoying a cosy rainy day!

x

JamHearts · 06/06/2020 15:11

@Positivity2019 @Wearenotyourkind Sending love to you both. So sorry you’re both going through this xx

Missgoldilocks · 06/06/2020 15:48

@jx0x0 I've heard of it happening but I've never experienced, but once I get one surge I leave it there normally so who knows! It's exhausting when you dtd that much isn't it! I'll be fertile next weekend

@Positivity2019 how are you?? And @Wearenotyourkind??

Positivity2019 · 06/06/2020 17:09

Hi everyone. I thought I would let you know that I was ambulanced to hospital in the early hours and have had immediate surgery on an ruptured ectopic pregnancy. Friday was a whirlwind of a day or pain and test which culminated in being taken straight to theatre.
I hope you’re all doing ok ❤️

Wearenotyourkind · 06/06/2020 17:24

Thanks for thinking of me @Missgoldilocks and @JamHearts 💜 Things started to progress for me on Thursday and the last few days have been horrendous. Extremely painful in every sense. I just want this to be over so I can try and start to move on. Sending love to all ❤️

Missgoldilocks · 07/06/2020 10:57

@Positivity2019 I am so sorry 😫😫☹️ honestly you just couldn't make this up. Sending you love and I hope you're recovering okay. Did they have to take a tube? 😔🤗❤️

@Wearenotyourkind I'm so sorry for you as well 😖 this is awful and I really hope you're okay and getting the support you need ❤️❤️

Positivity2019 · 07/06/2020 12:06

@Missgoldilocks yea they have taken out my right tube as it had ruptured quite badly. My left one looks fine and healthy as do my ovaries. Getting home today which is just great because my partner has not been able to see me at all through all this.
Feeling sore and sad but I will pull through ❤️

JamHearts · 07/06/2020 12:25

@Positivity2019 I am do sorry you have Had to go through this and be alone at the hospital. Sending love and well wishes xxx

Missgoldilocks · 07/06/2020 20:45

@Positivity2019 😫😖🤗🤗 I'm so glad you can get back to him. Get in your bed and relax, eat chocolate and ice cream and watch your favourite movie. Wish I could give you a hug!! Xx

jx0x0 · 08/06/2020 11:04

@Positivity2019 & @Wearenotyourkind I am sending you both lots of love. I hope you are both ok and are being looked after as you recover emotionally and physically. If you need a positive story my friend's child was conceived naturally after an ectopic pregnancy. She was also age 34/35 when it happened to her.

Positivity2019 · 09/06/2020 17:53

@Missgoldilocks @jx0x0 @JamHearts thanks for the thoughts. I am indeed hunkered down in bed watching random TV and enjoying fine food. DP is on an Asda run to get me ice cream. Also, my mum is coming to see me tomorrow. She is desperate to see me and if I absolutely need to see her too.
I’m hopeful that we can go on to have normal and safe pregnancy’s. Thanks for then positive story @jx0x0

jx0x0 · 09/06/2020 18:05

@Positivity2019 - glad to hear your DP is on an ice cream run! Good man! Love to you. X

TurquoiseKiss · 12/06/2020 13:57

Hi all, apologies I haven't been able to read each post since I last wrote on here - I understand there have been babies and losses, sending love to everyone who joined me when I started this thread. Thinking of everybody regardless of where you are on your journey.

An update from me to say our baby boy arrived on 4th of May 2020. First time parents here still finding our way but everything is good.

Congratulations @TurquoiseKiss! Such lovely news!

I'm so glad you posted now @hwotsit. I agree it can be such a lonely and heartbreaking process. We have lots in common - trying since July, same age and short LP. It's so important to get support when this journey is so difficult for some of us 💗
