Anyone in the same boat? I'm 33 and from next week DH and I will be actively trying for #1. I'm excited, nervous, trying to be chill about it all but also imagining myself with a bump celebrating Xmas this year Grin

I started taking SS 'trying for a baby' supplements 4 weeks ago, not sure if it was their effects or not but this month my cycle was 20 days. Otherwise i'm 27 days always. Anyways, let's see what happens.

Hoping to find some pals in a similar place at the moment on here!

Thanks @Bettyblue1 - will stop trying to overthink symptoms!

Wearenotyourkind · 23/07/2019 08:56

@Bettyblue1 he drew the line at looking at my google image searches of ovulation discharge though 😂😂

PrincessConsuela12 · 23/07/2019 18:55

@Wearenotyourkind Thank you! I will have a look on Amazon this evening 🙂

Thank you @Absa Smile I have also been having the same symptoms you mentioned, I think it can vary from person - person. What may be the start of AF for me could potentially be the start of pregnancy symptoms for someone else - that’s why it is so frustrating and hard not to overthink Confused

Absa · 23/07/2019 19:03

Thought I might have had some implantation bleeding this morning as got a bit of spotting - normally never have spotting until a day before AF but am about 5days until that date. However, the cramps turned out to be a hungry tummy and now I have symptoms of AF so think she's planning to visit early this month! She knows I was watching it for her Grin

Bettyblue1 · 24/07/2019 09:57

@Absa, spotting could be a good sign for you. Af is due for me in the next couple of days. All my symptons seem like my normal pms now. Wish she would just hurry up and be gone so I can get back at it. How's everyone holding up? Thankfully my tww is nearly over. Onwards and upwards ladies.

goodnightsugarpop · 24/07/2019 10:51

@Bettyblue1 I'm in the same state as you - period due tomorrow and I'm sure it's coming. Had a little bit of spotting yesterday & today and now I'm wondering if my emo moment on sunday was PMS because I usually feel very tearful 3 or 4 days before AF arrives... if I haven't come on by tomorrow am I'll do a pregnancy test but I'm 99% sure I'm out for this month. Roll on August!

10Rochford · 24/07/2019 11:08

Wearenotyourkind · 24/07/2019 17:11

Sorry to hear this @Absa here's to next month though

TurquoiseKiss · 24/07/2019 19:13

Evening all! I've no idea whats going on with my cycle this month, had ewcm yesterday but negative OPKs, DTD last night but now i'm working away for a few nights (and i've left the OPKs at home) so I reckon that was our only shot for this month.

Welcome @10Rochford sorry to hear your sad news in May, wishing you best of luck going forward.

For everyone who has had AF this month - sending you good vibes for next month, treat yourselves to a slab of brie or a large G+T.

I used to be an avid reader of fiction, now my commute is dedicated to the mumsnet conception page, or anything conception/ovulation related. It's difficult not to obsess over it. Went down a rabbit hole the other day and ended up reading an article about sperm quality and what the best number of days inbetween ejaculations are for A-grade sperm Confused That was officially too much!

Thank you all. You are all si kind and I really appreciate it. I find it really good to talk about these things with you all. Keep me posted. Wishing you all great things to come Smile

Bettyblue1 · 25/07/2019 09:50

Well the bitch is back (AF arrived this morning). @10Rochford, welcome to the madhouse. I'm sorry to hear of your sad news. I glad your ready to start ttc again and wish you the best of luck. @TurquoiseKiss OMG how good does a slab of brie sound right. Mmm, think I might eat my body weight in cheese and crackers tonight. If yesterday was your only shot for this cycle I hope it was a good one. It only takes one sperm!!

10Rochford · 25/07/2019 10:44

Hello @bettyblue1. Ah I am sorry to hear that, so frustrating but do not give up hope. Thank you so much I love this mad house!! Yes like you say it only takes the 1!! AF due in 6 or 7 days and im getting cramps in my lower abdomen and I need to pee a lot, also my boobs are a little tender?! Well here's hoping? xx

goodnightsugarpop · 25/07/2019 11:45

I can't binge on cheese sadly (thanks lactose intolerance Angry) but I'm thinking about getting sushi this weekend! I've also been keeping a bottle of wine and a pack of cigarettes in the cupboard...

10Rochford · 25/07/2019 12:16

@goodnightsugarpop I also am lactose intolerant but that doesn't stop me!! I don't like cheese or milk or and dairy really. Ha well you deserve them both so enjoy is what I say. Life is to short...

Absa · 25/07/2019 19:23

Bad week for AF (heat) but good week as means I can enjoy a glass guilt free!

dropthemic · 26/07/2019 07:48

Hi all, great to have a space to share. Me and Dh have decided not to tell anyone that we are trying. It's only the first couple of weeks but I'm cracking up already. Coming off the pill has been horrible. So much different symptoms and I've no idea which are coming from withdrawal from the pill, ovalutation or actual pregnancy.
I laugh at my days of waking up in a sweat thinking I forgotten to take my pill. I now realise getting pregnant is far more difficult and rare than I thought! Let's hope we all aren't waiting too long for our BFP

TurquoiseKiss · 26/07/2019 09:31

Welcome dropthemic Sounds like we're in exactly the same boat - we started trying a couple of weeks ago; and my DH and I are not telling anyone we're trying either (for the minute anyways).

I've had zero symptoms of anything so I'd be hugely surprised if it happened on first cycle! I don't really mind however, we've had a lot going on this month and tbh, haven't really prioritised DTD! Are you taking a relaxed attitude to it so far? I've been using OPK strips, but not consistently. Good luck!

Wearenotyourkind · 26/07/2019 10:56

Welcome @dropthemic how long have you been off the pill for? I'm still waiting for my first bleed since stopping the pill. Getting frustrated now!

Also, is anyone else using conception lubricant? I've just bought this as I read that normal lubricant isn't advised when TTC.

dropthemic · 26/07/2019 11:54

@Wearenotyourkind only off it since 10th of July and I've lost my mind already! We had intended to go off it months ago but my dad had a stroke and I felt it wouldn't be good to put ttc in the mix. Now I wish I did and used other contraception, just to let my cycles get back to normal. Ive had no bleeding at all, I got ewcm last week so I'm hoping that it's a sign of ovalutation. I never thought I'd be excited about cm.
Also wanting to try pre-seed I've heard from others that they felt it helped them
@10Rochford sorry to hear about your miscarriage that must have been very tough. I hope you get your BFP soon x
