Conception and ovulation straight after chemical pregnancy

Hi all,
New to this board ☺️
I’m 32 and myself and DH are trying for number 2 (we have an almost 3YO DD). We just had a chemical pregnancy - AF was due May 18th, already faint pregnancy test lines got fainter on May 19th and disappeared completely on 20th. Started bleeding May 20th and now on a very heavy AF.

We are emotionally ready to just got for it again, my question is have any of you positive experience of getting right after an early Chemical pregnancy and if so did you find you ovulated earlier/later.

For example, I ovulate exactly 14 days after my period starts. As my period was technically 3 days late, do I assume I will just ovulate 14 days after this bleed started? Or do I count 14 days after period was actually due?

@Larrydavid glad you're enjoying your holiday and cocktails. Good luck with smep- we tried hat a few months back and got worn out and i think ended up missing my most fertile day I think 😂 it doesn't help that I ovulate quite late, in hindsight I should have put off starting until later in my cycle but we started so enthusiastically!

Really @satsumasaturday? I did a FRER yesterday morning and nothing so I’m afraid of doing my (last one in the house!) this eve or waiting till morning? Though in the past I’ve always found my lines stronger during day as opposed to FMU...how strong was your FRER line that evening? Xx

@Bisquick I’m so sorry for you loss. I’m also waiting for AF and not feeling particularly hopeful. How are you doing? Cramps sound positive. When will you test?

My line was visible but not mega strong @LittleRedSocks. I've tried to attach a pic but I can't for some reason. I've posted it on 29th June on this thread though - and it turns out that was my ic pic from the day before, although the next day's was the same. The frer on the 29th was at 12dpo at about 1400.

Hi @mountabora oooh I’m so nervous to get excited - this is month 3 (pretty sure last month was a CP too...). I think I’m 11dpo which is what makes me still not think it’s good news as surely I’d have had something on the FRER yesterday... how are you doing? Are you waiting for AF? Xx

Hi @MountAbora I'm still feeling fine. Maybe a bit sleepy but I think that's just as I'm having a lazy Sunday.

Had a call from the midwife yesterday and I think I totally confused her with my dates. She said I was only four weeks pregnant and to cal her in two weeks to book to see her at week eight. Based on my ovulation I think I'm six weeks tomorrow (four weeks since ovulation), but she kept saying that as I'd had a 3+ weeks on a digital test last week then that puts me at four. I'd explained last months miscarriage on 27th May so she kept counting from mid June. Anyway we were both very confused and she said she's going to book me in for an early scan which will tell me the date and then to call her back after that. She also kept asking if I was sure I wasn't still pregnant from April so she's possibly also worried I'm also 11 weeks (I'm not, I had BFNs)

I asked how I'll find out the date of the scan, and she said they'd tell me when I was there. I meant the appointment date! That's how confused the whole conversation was 🙈🙈😂😂

Thanks @satsumasaturday! I think I’ll use all my will power and just satisfy myself with IC for today....actually I should point out too that those lines only appear on my IC as they dry out....but this is how they presented when I was pregnant with DD too...xx

Haha yes I suppose you're right! If I'm feeling awful my hormones are going mad which can hopefully only be a good thing! 🤞🏻 for my scan tomorrow!
I always found my lines darker after a 3 hour hold from 6-9pm and not drinking much in that time. 🤞🏻
How many dpo are you atm? My squinters I had a 7dpo and stark white frer 8dpo then a faint line at 9dpo (dpo day doesn't matter for comparison as I'm sure I implanted around 6dpo as I felt it hence earlier positive) 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻💕

So slight update I've been really struggling trying to study so so tired and nauseous, could feel it on my throat felt like dizziness and nausea after a night out with the room spinning (when lying sitting and standing) if I thought it was something like alcohol or a big I'd have forced myself to be sick but thought as it's hormones I don't want to make myself be sick and still feel sick 🙈

However this morning felt the same and then I was sick 🤢 still shaking a bit and keep feeling dizzy so definitely going plain food little and often today. Taking it as a good sign but still feel sorry for myself (also still got the bad stomach as well it's like having a virus 😂🙈)

@LittleRedSocks 12dpo is still quite early so maybe frer is just not picking it up yet. Or maybe you implanted later?
@Abi58 haha I think your allowed to feel sorry for yourself, I imagine it’s pretty miserable feeling that rubbish all the time! Hopefully it won’t last too far into your pregnancy. So so exciting about your scan 😊
I’m ok, think I’m 7/8dpo today. Planning to test on weds am if AF hasn’t shown up by then but I think I’m out again, have all the usual PMS symptoms (sore boob, only 1 tho which is a bit weird, cramps & totally grumpy 🤣)

Ah, unfortunately I got my period on Saturday. And a really heavy one as well. I suppose it's nature's way of saying I need a reset cycle. Feeling blue, but trying to look ahead to the next cycle. Good luck for everyone still waiting to test!!!

Ah sorry @Bisquick, you can join the rest of us still trying! @Abi58 we’d love to see pics! @MountAbora I dunno, I’d love if that was the case but I just know in my experience, if a FRER doesn’t pick up anything by 10/11dpo, chances pretty low of bfp (that’s just my experience though!). So as heartbreaking as it is to be ‘out’ again, I’m just trying to tel myself next month will be our month! How are you getting on? What dpo are you? Xx

Hi everyone, just wanted to check in and say hi. I'm on day 12 of my tww and going a bit nuts. Boobs still up, had cramping at the 10/11 day mark...I am going CRAZY.

Determined to not test early, in case I have another CP. But this wait is bloody killing me now, I am paranoid every time I go to the loo that something will be there 🙈🙈🙈

Don't rule yourself out yet @LittleRedSocks - 12dpo is still early, especially if you got you ovulation out by a day or implanted late.

I've started getting incredibly light spotting on Thursday, it hasn't gone away and got a bit heavier this afternoon 😭 this is exactly what happened last time except I've managed to hold on ten days longer this time. I've held off calling anyone partly due to denial and partly because I know what the advice was last time: so long as there's no cramps or red then it could be fine and there's nothing you can do. I just wish there was something I could do!!!

Oh @Abi58 I would definitely love to see a pic! Are you looking forward to telling the parents?

@satsumasaturday oh I didn’t think it would come this quick, would have been nice tho. Are you ok? Sounds a bit scary after what you have previously been through. Spotting could be for a very different reason this time tho. I hope that it stops soon for you and you can relax a little.
@LittleRedSocks, satsumasaturday is right, your not out until AF comes. It’s a horrible feeling waiting tho so be good to yourself. Fingers crossed that if this is not your month then next month is.
I’m ok. 7/8dpo today, I’m totally convinced that AF is on her way. Keep preparing myself every time I go to the loo. It sucks 😐

@abi58 @littleredsocks - I am going to wait until Thursday. AF is due tomorrow. Having some funny pulling feelings in my pelvis. Not really cramps but something is going on. I really do feel very pg and so I don't know what ill do if im not 😖

So I busted open a FRER and this slowly appeared. I’m guessing an evap really because it only appeared slowly over an hour! Why am I such a nut about this.

I’m 12/13dpo but I think the line probably is more grey than pink?!
