Conception and ovulation straight after chemical pregnancy

Hi all,
New to this board ☺️
I’m 32 and myself and DH are trying for number 2 (we have an almost 3YO DD). We just had a chemical pregnancy - AF was due May 18th, already faint pregnancy test lines got fainter on May 19th and disappeared completely on 20th. Started bleeding May 20th and now on a very heavy AF.

We are emotionally ready to just got for it again, my question is have any of you positive experience of getting right after an early Chemical pregnancy and if so did you find you ovulated earlier/later.

For example, I ovulate exactly 14 days after my period starts. As my period was technically 3 days late, do I assume I will just ovulate 14 days after this bleed started? Or do I count 14 days after period was actually due?

Anyone who has just been through the same that wants to join me on this journey please do! X

@MountAbora I know you're right but you also read about so many people testing positive early that it does feel a teeny bit disappointing. I think I'm due on mon/Tuesday. Fingers crossed it changes but we'll see! I agree with @satsumasaturday - hold out for a day. I think trying to time it the day before ov is your best bet if you guys aren't at it like rabbits this month.

@Larrydavid you still have a few days it could definitely change, for every early BFP story there are also later BFP stories so you could still be in with a chance. The wait is so difficult so I feel for you.
Will you test at some point next week if AF doesn’t come?

@MountAbora yeah I'll wait until my period is due if it doesn't come, I'll test again. I got a very faint positive at 12dpo last month which disappeared so I'd rather wait (esp after this morning's test!) also, defs jump him in the morning!

Hope everyone is doing ok for a Monday 😊So I had my blazing positive OPK yesterday morning & had positives again last night & this morning, DP wasn’t feeling well at all yesterday so didn’t manage to dtd then but did this morning, hopefully I am still in with a chance dtd Friday & today if I’m still getting positive OPKs this morning. And now the wait begins.....
@Larrydavid how are you doing, as your AF is due soon isn’t it?

I'm due today/ tomorrow and have period pains so am waiting for it to arrive. Really don't want it to but will be happy to move on to the next cycle. I have a holiday next week so at least it means I'll be fee to have some cocktails!

@MountAbora that's a very well timed DTD I think - hopefully you ovulate today but even if you ovulated yesterday then Friday's swimmers will have still be ready to pounce! 🤞

@satsumasaturday yeah I think 13dpo today. It's been a cruel cycle - have been nauseous on and off for the last week - thought it might be pg related but think it's my AF lead up. How are you??

I'm good thanks @Larrydavid still not having obvious pregnancy symptoms - I'd say the main thing I've noticed is that I don't seem to be able to sleep through the night without weeing (never a problem before), my skin has got very oily, and I don't seem to be as hungry (but possibly because I'm always so hot!). The sickness hasn't set in though which I'm sure I should be grateful for but I would like to feel sick for some reassurance... I realize that sounds mad!

I went to the doctors earlier to fill in my forms for the midwife to collect- I've been putting it off because as soon as I got back last time was when the bleeding started so I didn't want to jinx it. I sound mad again 🙈

@Abi58 oh dear! 🤞 the sickness stays away as long as possible! Sounds a bit rough.
@Larrydavid that sucks. If AF still isn’t here your not out yet but the thought of those cocktails sounds like a silver lining if she does arrive. That’s good you have a holiday booked next week, enjoy!
I’m usually ok for the 1st few days if the tww but from the weekend il be itching to test even tho I know it’s waaay too early.
@satsumasaturday that sounds like a fair few symptoms. It is scary getting the forms given what you went through last time but it’s also very exciting! 😊 and thanks, hopefully the timing was ok, I’m pleased I got a very definite OPK this month, il just have to wait it out now, which is so much easier said than done!

hi can I join you all? CP last cycle (altho hadn't got so far as testing, just had the symptoms and then a bleed 4 days before AF due).

I am 5DPO and my boobs have been sore since OV last Wed. A few twinges in the old ovary department and so I am keeping everything crossed that this is going to be my month. Now to hold off testing for another week at least!

BTW, I am 38 and we're TTC #3. Our youngest is nearly 6 and we're on cycle 6 I think? Really really want it to happen this month as it'll mean their birthday would be a month before eldest. As awful as it sounds, I don't want another summer baby knowing that it can be tougher for them at school...

@MountAbora thank you 😁 I bought sea bands and seem to help but also a bit painful after a while and as people tend to know what they are I can't risk wearing them out at work or with anyone that doesn't know yet 🙈

@Abi58 my youngest is late July and has had a few struggles, but we're now waiting for an autism assessment (having been told he has ADHD already) so that's probably got more to do with it!

So I am feeling all the same feels as I did last month still, which is giving me hope. I am trying to figure out when I actually OV (app said Wed but I got EWCM on Thursday?). Either way, we DTD on Tuesday and Thursday am and so I am hoping that covers it ?

AF is due a week today!

@MummyMilla my opk said I had my LH surge on a Saturday and I then got EWCM the following Thursday! Have been so confused all month as to which one was more accurate!

I feel pretty gross today. Pre period gross. This is way TMI but I keep feeling wet so am paranoid AF has started 🙈

@Abi58 oh I haven’t heard of sea bands! But sounds like a good idea. Shame it’s not the winter, I imagine they would be easier to hide with layers of clothes!

@mountabora I am going to try! My body is telling me that I have a fertilised egg in there (boobs are SO big and heavy!), but I am now mega paranoid about it not sticking so don't want to be disappointed again. I'm even waking up in the night for a wee, which is unheard of as I LOVE my sleep.

I am mentally preparing myself for another CP though.

It's not arrived yet. I'm two days late but I tested this morning and it's bfn still so suspect it will come today. Feels like it's on its way.

@MummyMilla sorry about your loss but glad you found our thread 😊 sounds like you got it covered with your DTD timings and your boobs being heavy could be a sign
@MountAbora how are you doing? Do you have any distractions lined up for the TWW?
