Conception and ovulation straight after chemical pregnancy

Hi all,
New to this board ☺️
I’m 32 and myself and DH are trying for number 2 (we have an almost 3YO DD). We just had a chemical pregnancy - AF was due May 18th, already faint pregnancy test lines got fainter on May 19th and disappeared completely on 20th. Started bleeding May 20th and now on a very heavy AF.

We are emotionally ready to just got for it again, my question is have any of you positive experience of getting right after an early Chemical pregnancy and if so did you find you ovulated earlier/later.

For example, I ovulate exactly 14 days after my period starts. As my period was technically 3 days late, do I assume I will just ovulate 14 days after this bleed started? Or do I count 14 days after period was actually due?

Anyone who has just been through the same that wants to join me on this journey please do! X

@Larrydavid how odd, any sign yet?
Not sure if I've already asked you this so sorry if I have, do you temp?
You can have multiple patches of fertile Cm but it's useless without an egg. You can also have an LH surge and not ovulate. If you temp you'll get a rise after ov and it will stay risen so it's quite a good checker

@MummyMilla ahh 🤞🏻 for the assessment. I hated that no one was ever around as we're on holiday but I lived that I was sometimes in holiday and never at school for it 😁

Sounds like you have it covered 🤞🏻 ☺️

Try not to worry about another cp (easier said than done I know - been there done that) but the dr did say you're unlikely to have 2 in a row

@MountAbora you got that right I can't wear them at work as it's obvious but I am at home

Only a week to go ☺️🤞🏻

@satsumasaturday how are you doing?

Larrydavid · 10/07/2019 22:50

@satsumasaturday @Abi58 I think it's here - tiny bit of spotting earlier! It's cool though - I'm away this weekend so I can enjoy that more. Onto the next cycle! How are you doing??

@Abi58 I haven't temped - just opks. Bit scared that I'll become obsessed with it! Is it tricky? Might try in a month or two. How you doing?

MountAbora · 11/07/2019 07:49

@MummyMilla I understand your worry about another cp, I think it’s only natural after having one before, sounds like you have good signs tho.
@Abi58 I can imagine! Yes a week seems a long time atm tho Confused can’t be long until your scan?
@satsumasaturday I’m being very impatient this tww! Work is a bit quiet atm which isn’t helping to distract me so il need to make some plans for this weekend. I keep swinging between ‘this is definitely the month’ and ‘Im out this month for sure’ and I’m only 3/4DPO 🤣
How are you doing? Feeling ok?
@Larrydavid sorry to hear that AF may be arriving, but glad to hear you are looking forward to enjoying the weekend. You can enjoy those holiday cocktails 🍸

satsumasaturday · 11/07/2019 08:47

@MountAbora yes definitely try to make some plans this weekend in that case. When are you going to test this month?

I'm doing good, I obsessively bought some cb digital tests earlier this week and did the first on Monday (2-3) but this morning just did the second and got 3+. I really must stop buying them now!! I was worried because i don't feel sick at all, I've just lost my appetite and am very warm all the time - but that might be the weather! So my paranoia hasn't gone but at least I've had a busy week. I'm off work again today to go to the hospital - I'm hoping I'm going to get to take my leg brace off as that'll cool me down!

@Larrydavid sorry to hear af might have arrived - is it here for sure yet or still just teasing? Definitely allow yourself an extra cocktail at every opportunity if it does arrive. I temped, I found it ok - it does help to show that you ovulated for sure but only after the fact so you still need OPKs. It basically reassured me that we didn't need to DTD anymore! I think it is hard if you don't have a routine though - my graphs were always quite jagged even though I did it at 6am every day.

Abi58 · 11/07/2019 10:27

@Larrydavid it's not hard it's just you need to do it about the same time and keep consistency so you can see a pattern over time. If you want any advice on it let me know :)
Any sign of af?

@MountAbora I know what you mean but it will fly by! My scan is weds next week so if it makes you feel better you have less time to wait 😁 as my scan is in the evening 🙈

@satsumasaturday glad you might be getting it off! 🤞🏻 hopefully will def halo you feel cooler! Yay for the 3+ 😁🎉
A lot of people don't get any symptoms til 6 weeks and some don't get many at all

Babyless · 11/07/2019 13:14

Hello ladies.
I am at the back-end of a miscarriage. We found out that I was losing the baby on Tuesday.
When should I start doing OPKs? Do I pretend that the first day of my miscarriage was actually the first day of a period, and judge it that way?

Also, have any of you become pregnant after a miscarriage, before getting your period again? X

MummyMilla · 11/07/2019 13:18

Thank you @Abi58

So symptoms are continuing - last 24 hours I have been consumed with rage (!) and woke up for a wee again last night. Lower abdominal twinges and pains are also still present.

I've decided that I am defo not going to test early this month. I really do feel quite certain that the egg is fertilised, so it will just be a waiting game as to whether it implants. Doing a test will simply confirm what I am thinking (re: fertilised egg) but won't change whether or not it sticks. So I have another 7 days before I'll be testing!

Abi58 · 11/07/2019 13:28

@Babyless sorry for you loss. How far were you? 💕
I counted mine as cd 1 the first day of red bleed and got a bfp the next cycle currently 5+5 🤞🏻 for you and make sure you look after yourself

Abi58 · 11/07/2019 13:29

@MummyMilla 🤞🏻 for you!

satsumasaturday · 11/07/2019 13:53

@MummyMilla all sounding promising - I think the nighttime wees are interesting, I very rarely used to wake up need the loo, but I am up once a night without fail and am waking early (about 6am) bursting again - that has definitely been a change I know I'm not imagining since my bfp

@Babyless so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I started cd1 as the first day I had red blood (I'd had brown spotting for a few days before), I then ovulated a couple of days later than usual and got another bfp this month - so before a period. I'm now 5+3 I think. I started doing OPKs a few days after the bleeding had stopped

Larrydavid · 11/07/2019 23:12

@Abi58 @satsumasaturday AF here but it's light and hopefully gone by the time I go away!

@MountAbora 🍸🍹🍸🍹🍸🍹

@Babyless I'm so sorry for your loss. I've only had a chemical and I counted my period from the first day I bled properly. I'm not sure if it's different depending on when you miscarry. Hope you're ok.

@MummyMilla - I think holding out is probably the best idea! Good luck - not long now! Signs sound promising!

Abi58 · 12/07/2019 07:09

@Larrydavid sorry to hear af arrived 💕 hopefully gone quickly and you can enjoy some holiday drinks ☺️
A chemical is still an early miscarriage, dr said the term chemical comes from because is usually too early to have been clinically proven (ie ultrasound) it either up to 6 or 8 weeks it's classed as an early miscarriage / chemical ☺️

Abi58 · 13/07/2019 07:41

@Larrydavid how are you? Did af stay light? Hope you enjoy your time away.

@LittleRedSocks how are you getting on??

@Whyhaveidonethis congratulations on your bfp!

How is everyone?

satsumasaturday · 13/07/2019 08:04

Congratulations @Whyhaveidonethis 🎉🎉 can we see your test??? 😊 How are you feeling?

Sorry to hear af arrived @Larrydavid, enjoy your holiday drinks!

@Abi58 I'm doing ok, I have got my appetite back the past couple of days so I've been making up for lost time! However along with the light spotting this has obviously also made me worry that there's a problem. But trying not to read into it (maybe the blob is just burrowing in a bit further) and just enjoy my food. My rhr has gone up again too. How are you feeling?

Abi58 · 13/07/2019 08:16

@satsumasaturday aw I know it's not this simple but try not to worry symptoms do come and go one day I can't finish my dinner the next I'm eating every half hour 🙈 has the spotting stopped now? I've read it's common to spot either that or as your uterus is growing it knocks some old blood. That's good :)

I'm ok thanks, having nausea still which is now pretty constant the waves are still there but the peaks are bad the lows are more tolerable but still nauseous lol. When I lie down I feel like I've been drinking and the room is spinning 🙈 also still got a bad stomach 🙈 hoping it's my version of morning sickness that way I don't need to be sick 😂🤞🏻

satsumasaturday · 13/07/2019 08:50

@Abi58 I'm trying not to worry and just read old mn posts that say it's normal. There was still something when I wiped this morning, but it's super light - it's only because I'm closely inspecting the tissue paper that I'm noticing 🙈 it's just like regular light dc but slightly tinged with brown rather than being white. I know last time it got heavier and was much more brown and obvious, so I'm just hoping it buggers off soon! Or perhaps I should buy some colored loo roll so I can't tell 😂

The dizziness sounds awful, hopefully the upset stomach is your way of sickness. I'm hoping that my lack of nausea/sickness is because I generally am not very hormonal and never ill. I can't remember the last time I was sick that wasn't caused by wine... perhaps about 10years ago, so I won't cope well!! Whenever we are on holiday I eat from every street vendor in every dusty corner of the world (India, Thailand, Jordan, Kenya) and the most I'll have is maybe a more urgent need to go to the loo - I think I've trained my guts to take anything! That said, I might be back here in a week not feeling so smug...

Abi58 · 13/07/2019 09:01

@satsumasaturday it is normal sorry not to worry ☺️ haha coloured toilet roll sounds like a great idea would stop you worrying about it ☺️💕

Aw thank you ☺️ sounds like you've been to some amazing places though, and have a stomach of iron! Mines so delicate I'm always bloating and having a bad stomach rarely sick though. Probably a bout of sickness every few years it's always the other end 🙈😩 (sorry tmi!)

🤞🏻 for you I know my mum has sickness really bad which is why I'm expecting it. Had 'bad stomach' without being tmi since 4 weeks so if my version of morning sickness it started really early 🙈

LittleRedSocks · 13/07/2019 09:42

I’m so glad you tagged me @Abi58 because ive been looking for this and it disappeared from my ‘I’m on’ list and couldn’t even find in search function! So I’m on 9/10dpo today. Thought I could see a couple of squinters on IC’s yesterday but did a FRER this morning and bfn 😢How are you getting on? Xxx

@LittleRedSocks wondered where you'd got to! Have you got a pic of the squinters? I had shadows on ic bfn on frer before bfp 🤞🏻 for you!

Abi58 · 13/07/2019 10:27

@LittleRedSocks I'm good thanks. Not feeling too great but to be expected lol. Got an early scan on Tuesday ☺️ so nervous and excited!

Bisquick · 13/07/2019 10:35

Can I join in super late? I had an MC at 7 weeks last cycle in early June. It was a surprise pregnancy (following a loss at term, and my rainbow DD who is now 19 months old). I ovulated 28 June I think and the HCG disappeared (after the MC) a few days later. Waiting for a BFP or AF now. With my long cycles (still bf) I’m due AF in 5 days, but haven’t been able to resist testing - all BFNs so far. But felt some cramps a week ago that I’m hoping were implantation and keeping everything crossed.

LittleRedSocks · 14/07/2019 15:47

@Abi58 my squinters are so squinty that sometimes I can’t see it with my eyes👀 ! So I deffo don’t think they would photo! Tho post pics of your early squinters so I can see and maybe hang on to some hope 😂Will try a FRER in the morning (though I’ve no symptoms at all so I really don’t feel like I am). I’m glad you’re feeling crappy though 😉It’s reassuring in a weird way!! Welcome @Bisquick- I’m so sorry for your loss, you are of course welcome here! Did you test again today? I’m a massive poas addict and literally scrutinise each one in a million different lights! Xxx

Hey hey! Hope you ladies are well!

@Abi58 really light this month but longer and slightly heavier than last month! Hopefully it's getting better to house a 👶🏼 how are you??

@satsumasaturday how are you doing? I love that you also eat from street vans worldwide. I like to believe that I have a strong stomach too - though a couple too many wines and I'm ill for days!

I'm on a beach at the moment - chilling before I restart SMEP next week! X

LittleRedSocks · 14/07/2019 17:15

Here’s my latest IC....more like a shadow but the last day 5 between yesterday and today have little shadows (nothing before then). Probably only I can see it! Xx
