Conception and ovulation straight after chemical pregnancy

Hi all,
New to this board ☺️
I’m 32 and myself and DH are trying for number 2 (we have an almost 3YO DD). We just had a chemical pregnancy - AF was due May 18th, already faint pregnancy test lines got fainter on May 19th and disappeared completely on 20th. Started bleeding May 20th and now on a very heavy AF.

We are emotionally ready to just got for it again, my question is have any of you positive experience of getting right after an early Chemical pregnancy and if so did you find you ovulated earlier/later.

For example, I ovulate exactly 14 days after my period starts. As my period was technically 3 days late, do I assume I will just ovulate 14 days after this bleed started? Or do I count 14 days after period was actually due?

Congratulations @morningchorus!!! I hope this turns into a very lucky thread! Did you wait for AF after the CP bleed or did you could day one of CP bleed as CD1? Xxx

I picked up the CF because tests were fading, counted first day of bleed after that as next cycle.
Ovulated 14 days after that, BFP 11dpo.
I said I wouldn’t test early this time because of what happened last month but I have no self restraint...

I had a CP last month and I'm right on track to ov as normal according to my symptoms. Here's hoping for us all.

I won't be testing early (she says) This next two weeks will surely be the quickest ever. 🙄

I'm cd12 currently. I will ov today or tomorrow. Cd12/13 is normal for me.

I’m CD13, due to ovulate according to app on Tuesday but according to CM it may be sooner! Hopefully we can go on this journey of symptom spotting together over the next few weeks 😂xx

I promised myself that I wouldn't symptom spit or obsess but we all know that is a lie. 😂

Ok so I’m on 2dpo according to cervical mucus, but this would be 1dpo according to app...I’m going to go with my body on this one especially right after a CP, I’m not sure how accurate the app will be this cycle! I ran out of those ovulation test strips a couple days ago and never got a positive or even a faint line so just have to trust my instincts...so the wait begins again!! Who’s with me? Xxx

Also how are your pregnancy tests looking @morningchorus? Getting nice and dark I hope for a lovey sticky bean! Xx

I had a faint positive on an frer last Monday, the lines got a little darker but not much so I was worried went to the drs on Friday they also got a faint positive on their urine test and reassured me that a line is a line. On Saturday night I started spotted, tried not to worry as I know you can bleed a little. Within an hour it was heavier (still only really when wiped but there was a lot there) (my normal af on the pill and only had one off so far so not sure what is normal but it was about 2 days and very light - most the time don't need anything just when I wipe) and then on Sunday morning I noticed clots in the toilet. Couldn't bring myself to do another test but went to the drs on Monday and they confirmed I wasn't pregnant anymore. Devastated as we wanted it so much and got our hopes up but ready to carry on trying.

Currently on cd5 (cd1 as sat when I started bleeding) and still lightly bleeding. 🤞🏻 for this cycle and 🤞🏻 for everyone else still to get their BFP

Of course @Abi58! So sorry you find yourself here but hopefully we can all support each other! It’s so rubbish, and there are no comforting words that can make anything better but hopefully we can keep each other positive! Xx

How are you all getting on this cycle?

Heya everyone, so me being a POAS addict, Iv done a couple of OPKs and before my CP I would get a faint second line no matter what time of the month I tested however, I haven’t had any hint of a second line since the CP on cycle day 8 so still about a week until I’d expect to ovulate, but anyone else get this? Worried it means I won’t ovulate this month or something !

@MountAbora I normally get blank white negative until a few days before ovulation. I definitely ovd last month as my temp rise and it ended up being chemical. 🤞🏻for you

I did OV strips this cycle too and nothing! So just went with my instinct and hoping it’s ok- have done all I can!

I wonder is there any wisdom to the thinking that you’re more fertile after a CP? Thoughts anyone?

I've heard that too, they say you're more fertile after birth as well so could be something to do with what your body does afterwards?

I know, right? Have to take the positives where we can! I still cant decide if I ovulated on Saturday or yesterday. But bloody knackered today (I’m in bed right now!) and a tightness in my abdomen - like every time I get up I feel like my lower stomach muscles need to be stretched out slowly! I’m pretty sure I had this last time but not early on....especially if I OV’d yesterday then I’m definitely just imagining things.

@Mountabora, make sure you pay attention to CM not just the sticks - and remember our body does funny things after miscarriages!

It would be nice to think that after our losses we would all have a higher chance this month.

Is it bad that I’ve already started testing?! They are internet cheapies and I have 50 so I don’t feel bad 😂I know it would be at least a week before even the faintest of lines...and I told myself after CP I wouldn’t test early again....but all rational thinking and behaviour goes out the window during this time!

@LittleRedSocks how are you feeling today? I'm still getting bad cramps thankfully the bleeding seems to have stopped now.

Aw I think I'll be similar. Going to try to hold off but doubt I'll be able to!

Maybe try every other day to try and curb the habit 😂

Hi everyone! Not sure if anyone has been through similar or has any ideas and can help my confusion and curiosity!

So I've been feeling a bit odd since I started bleeding on Saturday (finished yesterday) there were clots and urine test at dr confirmed negative for pregnancy on Monday.

I've been getting pains in my left pelvis/abdomen and just decided to do an opk and got a negative but the line was very definitely there (normally get stark white right up to and after ov) that was yesterday and the same again tonight. Could this be leftover pregnancy hormones from the chemical? Anyone else experienced this? (I'm only cd 6 so can't be close to ov yet.
