Conception and ovulation straight after chemical pregnancy

Hi all,
New to this board ☺️
I’m 32 and myself and DH are trying for number 2 (we have an almost 3YO DD). We just had a chemical pregnancy - AF was due May 18th, already faint pregnancy test lines got fainter on May 19th and disappeared completely on 20th. Started bleeding May 20th and now on a very heavy AF.

We are emotionally ready to just got for it again, my question is have any of you positive experience of getting right after an early Chemical pregnancy and if so did you find you ovulated earlier/later.

For example, I ovulate exactly 14 days after my period starts. As my period was technically 3 days late, do I assume I will just ovulate 14 days after this bleed started? Or do I count 14 days after period was actually due?

Anyone who has just been through the same that wants to join me on this journey please do! X

@Larrydavid umm I don't think I've ever had ewcm after ovulation, but then I am generally very scant on the cm front anyway.

I want to have some more symptoms - it's making me nervous that it's going to go wrong again. But I think the line I got tonight was darker than it was at this point last month so I'll just have to stay positive and distracted!

@Abi58 were you having your second set of bloods done today? How did it go?

@satsumasaturday yeah it was weird but my cycles don't seem hugely reliable right now! I have period pains tonight and I'm not due on until next week. I want to think It might be implantation but it feels like AF cramps. Definitely keep yourself busy and try not to worry!

@Larrydavid yeah only the nausea was the same. My boobs are now sore but last month it was sunburnt nipples (felt like) and now they feel heavy and the pain is as if they are badly bruised.🤞🏻 for you!

@satsumasaturday yes I had the second one done yesterday and they've given me the results

@Abi58 that's great news 😊 I'm feeling very very tired tonight and also my stomach is so full (I didn't eat that much dinner!) but I can't figure out if I'm just tired or if it's pregnancy related as it still feels like it's too soon. Anyway I'm in bed now, going to call it a day and see how I feel tomorrow. How are you feeling?

@satsumasaturday ow you me toon it I haven't been eating as much 🤷🏻‍♀️ and yes I'm with you on the tiredness I didn't realise how hard it hits! I felt like there was something wrong with me being that tired 😂
I'm having waves of nausea and just hoping I'm not sick for as long as possibly I have a feeling it will be bad (my mum had it bad)

Very exciting and I hope you don’t get too many tricky symptoms! Tho at least the symptoms are telling you things are progressing which is great.

I’m (I think!) in my fertile week so trying to entice DP tho he hasn’t been feeling great, he has an ongoing medical thing, so tbh I’m getting a bit frustrated! I know it’s not his fault but this week I get a bit down if he’s not up for lots of sex

@MountAbora good luck with all the sex! If he's not so up for it, I'd try to strategically map it out - maybe every three days?

I feel a little bit anxious today actually. Had loads of cramps last night and generally just feel anxious about testing or getting another CP (or worse!). Did everyone else feel like this? I think I'm 8dpo today -though could be 7 or 9! I don't think I can bring my self to test at the weekend as it was so disappointing before! I didn't think I'd be like this!

@MountAbora good luck with your fertile week. @Larrydavid is spot on with the idea of being strategic if dh has medical issues- depending on what you read the best three days are the day you ovulate and two days before, so every three days should hit one of those day - or if you become certain you're ovulating you can then try to add in an extra a day early for good measure.

I've either had indigestion or felt sick today. The slow cookers been on making a stew and the idea of eating it is turning my stomach! At least it means it's already cooked though so I don't have to make anything for tea I can just dollop it out!

@Larrydavid how are you getting on? I hope that the anxiety has calmed a bit for you. It is stressful especially after what we went through last month. Are you about 10dpo now?

@Abi58 & @satsumasaturday how are you holding up with the with symptoms? Hope they are not too bad (but also enough to put your mind at ease!)

Well we managed to DTD this morning, and hopefully will again tomorrow/ Sunday. Iv had ewcm yesterday & today, & had some cramps today which I tend to get around ov. Lines on OPK aren’t positive yet but I think it’s getting stronger so fingers crossed. Definitely a much more normal month than last month after cp so that’s something at least! 😊

@MountAbora I'm good thank you. Still early days so not too bad. Boobs feel bruised and sore, so bloated I look 6 months 🙈, waves of nausea.

Hi @MountAbora great to hear your cycle is feeling more normal again. The whole point of ewcm is that it gets the swimmers where they need to be and feeds them enough to keep them alive until the egg comes out, so great that you've managed to DTD. Hopefully that OPK gets dark this weekend!

I'm feeling ok, which is making me worry quite regularly, but then I felt quite sick this morning so trying not to read into anything too much. Today is the equivalent day to when it all went wrong last month, so I feel like I've reached a little milestone now 🙂

@MountAbora yeah I think I'm 11dpo today. I swear I've been feeling a bit nauseous for a few days but am also very aware that my body hasn't had hormones flying about for years so it's just as likely to be that! Great that you're near ov and that you managed to DTD!

@Abi58 I tested today and it was negative so I'll wait now to see if period is late!

@Larrydavid when is AF due? As Abi58 said your not out until it arrives & some people don’t get their BFPs until days after it’s due, fingers crossed for you.
My OPK is nearly positive, given that my DP is unlikely to feel up to dtd today & tomorrow are my chances better if I do it today before I ov or tomorrow when il hopefully get a positive OPK? Might be able to get him to dtd Monday too depending on how he’s doing🤞!

@MountAbora I'd hold off, especially if dh won't be up for it, I ovulate either the day after or two days after my LH surge. But it does depend on how quickly you ovulate once the surge starts - the first couple of months I was too keen too soon and we got tired out by the time I got my peak days, then the two months I held off were the months I got BFPs.
