Hello!
I know there are a few threads on this already but can’t find any recent ones.
There’s a theory that your resting heart rate goes up before you can get a bfp so a sudden spike/increase could be indicative of an upcoming bfp.
I’ve been tracking mine for months and have noticed that both times I was pregnant (both unsuccessful) this was true re heart rate.

For reference, it seems that a lot of people have a dip before ovulation followed by a spike around ovulation then it drops a bit and starts to climb a little, dropping again when af arrives. If it keeps climbing, it’s usually a good sign.

I think I’m out this month as mine is dropping steadily but I’ve had a weird cycle and am
Not sure I ovulated because I got multiple
Positive opks spread out over two weeks and didn’t see a heart rate spike as usual. I apparently ovulated around 23-27 (big window due to confusing tests) and AF is due in 4 days so I would normally see my heart rate climbing at this point - who knows what’s going on!

Anyone else symptom spotting and got a Fitbit so can share their heart rate chart?

Thank you!! Congratulations by the way!! 😊 Xx

Aberforthsgoat · 15/05/2019 15:51

This is mine. I think my Fitbit has been playing up a bit over the last few days as I have it a clean and now it’s adjusted itself.
But as you can see I’ve got some flatlining in there...

@Aberforthsgoat - congratulations!!
Mine has gotten even clearer and I've kind of enjoyed checking my stats in the morning 🤓 will have to remind myself not to read too much into it. How are you feeling? I'm managing to keep calm-ish so far - although I anticipate that I will get increasingly anxious when it's time for an early scan. I reckon I'll try for one at seven weeks, if nothing goes wrong before then, so I can find out as early as possible if it's a repeat of last time.

@coconutlatte44 thank you! I’m feeling ok, started to feel a bit queasy at random times. Pretty nervous as we only got to 20 weeks last time but hoping it’s third time lucky! How are you?

For anyone still interested my heart rate is still going up - I think it’s definitely a good sign to track if you’re looking out for bfp signs

Hi @Aberforthsgoat, good to see your charts, you're just under a week ahead of me I imagine as my period wasn't due until 13th of May. Your numbers have reassured me as my rhr has stayed at 58 for the last few days but then I saw yours flatlined after the bfp jump!

I'm feeling sick off and on too - which I am actually kind of excited about as I never had any sort of sickness with my mc so I'm going to take this as a good sign.

Aberforthsgoat · 18/05/2019 09:18

Yep it totally flatlined for almost a week [although the chart doesn't really show it] I think it stayed at 68 for something like 5-6 days, and then starting climbing again!

My AF was due 7th May, so yes that sounds about right :)

I find the fitbit data so interesting!

I seem to be developing a pattern on mine. It rose slightly before af then dropped and stabilised and now as I'm approaching my fertile week seems to be rising again. I too find it fascinating

After a few days of not thinking about this I've had a little panic as I've dropped down to 57 all of a sudden! Had a poke around the internet just to make sure this is ok.

I'm blaming the anxiety on the miscarriage and trying to be gentle with myself and saying it's ok/rational for me to feel worried!

I decided to poas as my line last week wasn't as dark as control line and I thought maybe it'd give me some reassurance, and I think it has as it's much darker now. Still feeling a bit anxious though, I hate how there's nothing we can do but wait.

Forgot the chart!

Hey everyone sorry I haven't been very active on here lately I've been crazy busy! I'm after people's opinions please, AF arrived 8th May and lasted till the 12th which matches my rhr chart but there was quite a peak shortly after that which I'm now wondering if that was early ovulation?

My Ovia app says my fertile week should be 22nd to 27th but looking at this chart do you reckon it came early (16th-19th)?

I opted for clearblue connected this month and I haven't detected any changes in resting hr and clearblue detected high and peak fertility last week ending with peak Saturday and Sunday so it's quite strange as to how to read it

Be interesting to see if anything happens this month. 6dpo and rhr hasn't done this before...

That's an interesting spike @mommato3, although quite early - keep us posted!

I had written out a post yesterday but it didn't go through. I was absolutely petrified that I was going through another MC - no symptoms mid-way through 6 weeks, and got some spotting/cramps a couple of days ago. It didn't help that my rhr had flatlined at 57 for a whopping 12 days!!

Went into the EPU for an early scan and there was a heartbeat! Measuring 6+1 and all healthy - so I ovulated on the later side for me. Then, almost as a tease, my rhr has finally ticked up to 58.

Just a reminder to take this with a grain of salt! I couldn't imagine why I was stuck at 57 for so long when I'd had such a clear upward trend earlier on.

@Aberforthsgoat hope you're getting on ok.

mommato3 · 01/06/2019 18:16

@coconutlatte44 I thought that too. Seems to have taken to jumping up 2bpm every night the last few nights 🤷‍♀️

I will indeed 👍

Well if rhr is anything to go on I'm out. Dropped to 67 yesterday and is 64 today 🤷‍♀️

als2912 · 03/06/2019 09:54

I'm a bit unsure about mine too not holding out much hope as I haven't had any real symptoms that I've noticed 🤔 my rhr was going up but has dropped again today and AF is due in 4/5 days time so will just have to wait and see I guess

Hi everyone, hope u don't mind me jumping on here! I've been wondering if heart rate can be a sign of early pregnancy but wasn't sure so it would be great to hear your stories! I'm currently 8dpo, started getting mild cramps on Saturday and since then my hr has increased. Let me know what u think 😊. Also I don't know why mine is so high compared to everyone else's!

mommato3 · 06/06/2019 15:08

@als2912 AF hasn't arrived yet just going on the chart 🤷‍♀️

mommato3 · 06/06/2019 15:08

@als2912 And sorry to hear af arrived hun 💔

als2912 · 06/06/2019 15:17

Oh sorry I just assumed! 🙈 Thank you, my rhr tricked me on the last couple of days it dropped as if AF was coming then I had a slight spike at the end which I don't normally get so I got my hopes up a bit but then this morning I just knew it wasn't going to happen 🤦🏽‍♀️ oh well onwards and upwards as they say!
