Hello!
I know there are a few threads on this already but can’t find any recent ones.
There’s a theory that your resting heart rate goes up before you can get a bfp so a sudden spike/increase could be indicative of an upcoming bfp.
I’ve been tracking mine for months and have noticed that both times I was pregnant (both unsuccessful) this was true re heart rate.

For reference, it seems that a lot of people have a dip before ovulation followed by a spike around ovulation then it drops a bit and starts to climb a little, dropping again when af arrives. If it keeps climbing, it’s usually a good sign.

I think I’m out this month as mine is dropping steadily but I’ve had a weird cycle and am
Not sure I ovulated because I got multiple
Positive opks spread out over two weeks and didn’t see a heart rate spike as usual. I apparently ovulated around 23-27 (big window due to confusing tests) and AF is due in 4 days so I would normally see my heart rate climbing at this point - who knows what’s going on!

Anyone else symptom spotting and got a Fitbit so can share their heart rate chart?

Congratulations @catrash
I think it calculates when you are asleep as the average!? As mine updates around 10 mins after I get up.

MrsH497 · 30/04/2019 09:46

So my Fitbit testing heart rate started at 77 a few days ago and now is spiking to over 80. Was due AF yesterday 🤔

tisonlymeagain · 30/04/2019 10:03

Mine has dropped so I am taking it that AF is on her way...

tisonlymeagain · 30/04/2019 10:04

Although saying that, my resting heart rate on my app has dropped but my actual, sitting still for long periods of time, heart rate on my watch is much elevated from normal.

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 30/04/2019 10:09

@MRSH497 I was due yesterday, my fit bit is now on day 3 of 66. No drop or af. I feel sick but I think it's just nerves.....

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 30/04/2019 10:17

I'm now having a flat line.....

Thank you all. Don't lose too much hope if it drops a little or flatlines - my resting heart rate for the last week has gone..

Huge congrats @catrash Smile let’s hope it’s a lucky thread

@bloodylegoeverywhere how many dpo are you?

Mine has dropped a little now kind of steady but still higher than usual. I’m wondering if it’s the pre af decline but she’s not due til next Tuesday so am unsure!

Oh I'm sorry @bloodylegoeverywhere - I assume your period is still abscent though? Could you have ovulated later than usual?

Your chart looks very similar to mine @aberforthsgoat - I have everything crossed for you. How many dpo are you now?

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 30/04/2019 12:41

It's one of those things, I have two ds. Wonder if I'm in the start of the perimenopause?
I'm between 15 and 19 days past ovulation. I'm only going by my heart rate as I had a spike and cm... period was due yesterday. Could be anyones guess where it is....

Aberforthsgoat · 30/04/2019 12:51

Maybe you did ovulate later lego I had that last month, all the signs and two spikes and then in the third spike I got positive opks! Much later than I thought

I think I’m about 7dpo @catrash I don’t have any other symptoms although I have the mother of all skin break outs - not had anything like it since I was a teenager but I think that’s coincidence and would be too early for hormones to be causing anything like that!

Could you post your chart again @catrash? The pics in previous page aren’t loading for
Me!

Bloodylegoeverywhere · 30/04/2019 13:00

Possibly, that was my only spike. I'm the opposite this month, no big spot on my face for my period. I normally get one for ovulation and one for my af.
That could be a sign, having a breakout!?

CatRash · 30/04/2019 13:40

See attached graph - it's certainly been a bit up and down and certainly not consistently rising daily. It was probably around the 7dpo/8dpo mark that mine went up and stayed up. I also had a few spots at 9/10 dpo. When are you planning on testing?

Hi, I hope you don't mind me jumping in on this, I didn't realise you could track this and it seems quite interesting! I've attached a picture of this cycle if anyone could let me know what they think I'd really appreciate it! I had a positive OPK on 24th and 25th April 😊

Aberforthsgoat · 30/04/2019 14:40

Thanks @catrash mine has now readjusted and dropped down from 67 to 65 so I have no idea what’s happening but I reckon I’m out as it’s quite a dip.

@als2912 welcome! The more the merrier I say. Yours looks very promising you can see it’s spiked and is staying up! Hopefully it will stay up :)

@Aberforthsgoat oo thank you for the quick reply, I do hope so! cycle 5 for me so that would be lovely 😊

Aberforthsgoat · 30/04/2019 14:45

Fingers crossed! I think most people see a climb after ovulation which then drops off when af arrives - obviously everyone is different. Have you noticed any patterns In previous months?

OP posts:
Aberforthsgoat · 30/04/2019 15:10

Sorry for the double post, but has anyone noticed their resting heart rate as being way lower than their resting heart rate actually gets? So mine is currently at 65, down from 67, but hasn't dropped below 68 all day when I'm just sitting at my desk.
Currently at my computer and it's 78!

als2912 · 30/04/2019 15:21

Just had a look back and I can't say I can see much of a pattern at the moment, I've attached pictures so you can see what I'm on about 😊

I notice a pattern with my rhr. Its how I knew I was miscarrying before the bleeding started and every month it shows a rise before af then drops until ovulation and then rises again.

@Aberforthsgoat your rhr is your overnight level which will always be lower than your during the day level if that makes sense.

I will have been ttc for 3 years in September and have my first infertility clinic appointment in july. Good luck to all!

Aberforthsgoat · 30/04/2019 15:32

@ilovetrees30 thank you for input and sharing. Really sorry to hear of your loss/losses. It really sucks - I've had two, one early and one later and I'm really hoping the next time (if there is a next time!) will be third time lucky.
Good luck for your appointment, do feel free to come back and join us!
