Anybody want a new Fitbit/resting heart rate &TTC thread? (Hr indicating bfp before tests)

Hello!
I know there are a few threads on this already but can’t find any recent ones.
There’s a theory that your resting heart rate goes up before you can get a bfp so a sudden spike/increase could be indicative of an upcoming bfp.
I’ve been tracking mine for months and have noticed that both times I was pregnant (both unsuccessful) this was true re heart rate.

For reference, it seems that a lot of people have a dip before ovulation followed by a spike around ovulation then it drops a bit and starts to climb a little, dropping again when af arrives. If it keeps climbing, it’s usually a good sign.

I think I’m out this month as mine is dropping steadily but I’ve had a weird cycle and am
Not sure I ovulated because I got multiple
Positive opks spread out over two weeks and didn’t see a heart rate spike as usual. I apparently ovulated around 23-27 (big window due to confusing tests) and AF is due in 4 days so I would normally see my heart rate climbing at this point - who knows what’s going on!

Anyone else symptom spotting and got a Fitbit so can share their heart rate chart?

Congratulations MrsH497 Smile

CatRash · 30/04/2019 22:27

Congratulations @MrsH497! When are you due? There's a January due date group on the ante-natal boards if you're interested!

SophWolf · 01/05/2019 06:36

Caved last night and tested in the evening, looks to be pretty positive though!

@sophiewolf wow that’s such a strong positive! Congrats!

@sophwolf sorry!

@Aberforthsgoat no idea! I ran out of OPKs so not entirely sure. Last period was 29/3 but my cycles had gone from a 26-28 cycle to over 30 days. This month something just seemed different.

Only had Fitbit on for a few days but you can see the change.

@CatRash thank you! I think I'm due around early January still very surreal!
Xx

This thread is fascinating! Definitely going to keep an eye on mine this cycle - I love a graph Grin

Congratulations on all the BFPs.

Aberforthsgoat · 01/05/2019 13:49

Well think I’m definitely out. AF Is due on Tuesday and I’ve dropped again from 66 to 65 so I imagine it will keep dropping now. Ah well. I will keep tracking so I can compare again next month. It’s still higher than it was at this point last month but I don’t think that means much.

@Aberforthsgoat sorry to hear that, I will still keep my fingers crossed as you never know until AF arrives! I think this is such an interesting way to track it though, it's given me one thing to focus on instead of trying to symptom spot constantly!

CatRash · 01/05/2019 15:31

Congratulations @SophWolf!! That's certainly a glaringly positive BFP! What's your chart looking like now?

I'm sorry @aberforthsgoat but just remember you're not out until AF shows!

Aberforthsgoat · 01/05/2019 16:17

thanks both! It’s still interesting to track and I didn’t think I’d caught the window this month so I wasn’t expecting it, but I had that tiny bit of hope when it suddenly spiked at 68. I feel sure I will
Be back on reporting that af has arrived but I will keep my fingers crossed all the same!

This is really interesting. I got pregnant in late Jan/early Feb but unfortunately miscarried. However I had noticed a change in my resting heart rate. I went back to look at my chart for February - it seems it didn't log for a few days, so it's a bit funny looking but overall a clear pattern from beginning of month (ovulation or just after) through bfp on Feb 12.

@sophwolf will be really interesting if you could stick around and show us how your heart rate chart looks - unless you want to ignore
It now!

Aberforthsgoat · 01/05/2019 17:22

Ooh @sophwolf just realised yours has a dip very similar to mine so now I’m wondering whether I dare be a little hopeful again...
If it starts rising again, maybe I will let myself

Sorry for your loss @coconutlatte14 that sucks. Thanks for sharing your chart that’s really interesting! Do you know when you ovulated on that chart? Are you ttc again?

Just seen you’ve said beginning of the month ignore me!

Hi @Aberforthsgoat, thanks, it was awful but doing better now. Yeah, the high point on the 1st was right around ovulation time- it was the same rate the day before (31st Jan). I haven't used anything to track it precisely but my cycle is really regular and have had some signs I ovulate mid-cycle.

Here is March- first went to the doctor on the 8th and had mc confirmed the 20th with surgery the same day. As you can se my hr was already dropping before then, and then after surgery it dropped again down to my lowest rhr since implantation.

Yes, we are trying again. My rhr this month looks weird though. Tbh maybe this is more normal, my last two months had an almost unrealistically clear pattern! I def ovulated some point in the last few days which you can see at the end of the chart.

MrsC89 · 01/05/2019 17:35

Really interested by this post. The 1st dip is beginning of AF, the first peak is a few days before I thought I ovulated and my rhr has gone up again today. Do you think i ovulated earlier than i thought?

Aberforthsgoat · 01/05/2019 18:46

@coconutlatte44 it’s awful, I’ve had an early one and a termination for medical reasons at 20 weeks and it’s one of those things unless you’ve been through it you just can’t really understand how awful it is. I am glad to hear you are doing a bit better now.

@mrsc89 I usually get a spike about 2-3 days after a positive opk so I would say the spike could well be ovulation but it depends what’s normal for you. Some people get a dip then a spike.

Hi everyone! Hope you're all ok and hope you have a lovely long weekend! I'm feeling a bit optimistic, I had a slight drop in my rhr but has just started to rise again 🤞🏼the last 24 hrs I've had a few symptoms that I don't normally get (sore boobs, felt very nauseous all day today) so let's hope that's a good sign! not due to POAS until Tuesday ideally 🙈

Good luck!!!
I’m not sure what to make of mine. Yesterday it was 64 having dropped down gradually from 68, today it’s spiked to 66 again. AF due on Tuesday.

Hi everyone...do you all wear your fitbits overnight? X

Aberforthsgoat · 04/05/2019 15:29

Hello @hoping87 yes I do :) I think it gives the most accurate reading if you wear it over night
