@littlemimosa the big things are in the loft... I guess in case if grandchild.. 😱 car seats, a couple are still about.. but yes it does feel a little freeing.. all can be bought. @Hobbes39

Hi little, regarding the contraceptive, I've been using the Ovia app but in reverse if you get me, avoiding peaks etc. But we are hardly rampant 😁
I haven't thrown anything away yet, can't face it. I've looked at companies that make quilts out of old baby clothes, so I'll do that when I'm ready...
I'm just not allowing myself to think about that, just enjoying each day with my DC and focusing on them :)
It's getting a bit easier but I still have wobbles BUT deep down I know it's the right decision for us :)

littlemimosa · 22/04/2019 23:10

‘Rampant’ made me laugh Weasel.
I love the idea of a quilt made from favourite baby clothes. Some of their sweet little baby gros....oh my ❤️ You sound like you’re dealing with it all in a really positive way. You are my inspiration! I agree that focusing on the DC you’ve got helps a lot. I’ve spent so much time and mental energy longing for another baby it makes me feel quite guilty.

Chat - grandchildren😮! I’ve already ear marked a few favourite beautiful toys to keep for mine but it’s going to be a looooong time for me as my eldest only just turned 8!

Cleo - that’s interesting that you threw everything years ago. I’m the opposite. Even still have their cute washable nappies (boiled washed don’t worry lol). I’m generally a minimalist kind of person but I’ve always thought I’d have another so for practical reasons I just kept on storing stuff. I am now starting to run out of space for the out-grown clothes (short of putting them in the loft) so think now is a Good time to let Some go.

Hobbes - no theres no history of early menopause. However I only have one ovary so it’s not outside of the realms of possibility for me. Despite that a so called fertility/women’s health expert told me recently that it’s highly unlikely to be early menopause but I’m struggling to believe that. Hope all is going well for you.

Finally got a print out from husband’s SA. It’s a little abnormal but I don’t know what it means for the whole picture. Anyone here know a little about them?

Chatbash72 · 23/04/2019 13:31

@littlemimosa my eldest is 22 this year but doesn't want kiddies.. the 19 year old does want little ones.. x

Megan2018 · 24/04/2019 03:33

Hello all, trying to catch up with this thread as have complete insomnia. 20wk scan in 12hrs and terrified as not felt any movement yet. The worry never stops!
Had my 41st birthday recently, but so far feeling well.

Chatbash72 · 24/04/2019 06:52

@Megan2018 good luck for today xxxx

Kitkat369 · 24/04/2019 07:30

Hi ladies, I’m 41 and been ttc since sept 2017 with no sniff of bfp. This time last year we tried iui at private clinic which failed, tried clinic with no joy for couple months. Before that gp did put us through to fertility nhs side and they pretty much put us on conveyor belt given my age but we wanted to keep trying. Hsgs and laparoscopy later, acupuncture and still nowhere really. Will be trying ivf via private clinic to which hubby and I are struggling with as I know there are no guarantees there will be baby in end plus a lot of money still saving for as only just started new job. I’m on zita west supplements at moment as well as ubiquinol and omega 3.

Just wondering what chances are as my amh has gone considerably lower from 14.4 now to 6.4pmol since last jan and lap due to endometrioma. Apparently 6.4 is normal so hopeful but starting to feel anxious since I got the updated results yesterday from gp

Hobbes39 · 24/04/2019 07:44

Good luck @Megan2018 - I have a scan today (gender scan that we got for free from the harmony test due to it being twins) I'm 17.5 and have only felt flutters internally - and I'm scared too as I feel like with the 2 in there I should be feeling more, so I have 'scanxiety' too... the worry really never does go, does it? Good luck for today - fingers crossed for us both 🤞 x

Good luck @Hobbes39 and @Megan2018 ! Hope it goes well!

Megan2018 · 24/04/2019 09:18

@Hobbes39
Good luck to you too!
I'm hoping the scan confirms our Harmony result that she is she! Not that we mind either way but I have bonded with "her" if that makes sense. If she is now he that'll take some getting used to. But my main worries are - is she still alive and is she ok. Keep being convinced she will have something catastrophic. Very panicky.
I've been torturing myself with the things I want to buy - not brave enough to purchase yet in case tempting fate.
There will be tears I can tell (sobbed at my 10wk and 12wk scans).
Roll on 15:25!

Cleozeta · 24/04/2019 09:36

Good luck megan and hobbes!

Welcome kitkat. Your AMH is great, hopefully you will have success with IVF, a lot of ladies on here have

littlemimosa · 24/04/2019 10:27

Good luck Megan and Hobbes! Let us know how you go on.

Welcome to kitkat. Sounds like you’re doing all the right things as much as you can. It’s so frustrating isn’t it. Many of us on here know your pain. At least you have good amh.

AFM- still no af, nothing. Clothes are tight and back to convincing myself I’m pregnant. I don’t know why I do it to myself. I’ve ordered some frer so that will put me out of my misery. I looked on the reviews of the cheap One Step I used and they are appaling. So many people saying they are useless, that they either don’t detect pregnancy or that they give a shadow of a line where no pregnancy exists! Great.

Cleo - how’s things with you?

Cleozeta · 24/04/2019 10:58

Mimosa - my experience with one step is the opk's are great, I use them all the time. Hpt's not so much. I had a negative (stark white) once when I was getting a positive from a digital, which is supposed to be much less sensitive. Might have been a dodgy batch but I wouldn't trust them.

As for me, my temp has finally started rising, so looks like I eventually ovulated. Peak was ages ago though and opk's negative since, so must have either been a really slow, crap temp rise, or rotten egg just took ages to flop out.
I suspect the originally selected egg became a cyst.

littlemimosa · 24/04/2019 11:58

Cleo - I wish we could have a look inside to see what is actually going on. It’s so confusing but please don’t assume the worst. You just never know. Bodies do strange but also wonderful things all the time.
I’m actually thinking of asking for another scan to check for cysts soon. Unless my periods really have disappeared for good I need to know what is going on. Currently just googling ‘menopause or pregnancy’! I never learn.... don’t know why I even think I might be lucky....

Cleozeta · 24/04/2019 12:28

Never lose hope mimosa!

Hobbes39 · 24/04/2019 13:58

Back from my scan - both babies looking good - one much more active than the other, but both fine & measuring 17+3 - and the little BOY was kicking his SISTER in the head!
One of each 😊 my DS will be delighted he was right!! X

Congratulations Hobbs Smile

Was that via ivf or naturally? Looking for as many positive stories for over 40.

So I’m booked in to see Care in london in couple weeks. Kind of dreading it as then opening Pandora’s box

Megan2018 · 24/04/2019 14:30

@Hobbes39

Megan2018 · 24/04/2019 14:31

@Hobbes39
Marvellous news! One of each is just perfect. So glad all went well.
I leave for my scan in 30 mins. Feeling sick to my stomach.

littlemimosa · 24/04/2019 15:06

Super news Hobbes:)

Megan - you’ll be fine but can understand your nerves totally.

Cleozeta · 24/04/2019 15:49

Congrats hobbes!

PetraRabbit · 24/04/2019 16:27

Hobbes....hooray! How lovely! Your little boy gets a brother and a sister! What a relief that everything is fine. You really can relax now.
Megan- I hope your 20 week scan goes well. I'm sure it will! Let us know!

Megan2018 · 24/04/2019 16:36

Scan was great, awkward little monkey position wise but all measurements bang on. No concerns. Placenta in right place, distance to cervix perfect etc.
I’m on a “growth pathway” so get additional scans. I think its a trial thing and I qualify due to age. So another scan before 27 weeks then monthly after. Very reassuring for a worry wort like me!

Cleozeta · 24/04/2019 16:58

Congrats Megan!
