Cleo sorry your cycle is confusing. I feel your pain. So you’ve had a peak on an opk but no temp rise? Did you get ewcm? Do you always get a temp rise after ovulation? Could it still be aboutvto happen? As I understand it clomid tells your body to shut down oestrogen production for the days you take it then afterwards your body is supposed to super ovulate in response?

Cleozeta · 21/04/2019 13:07

Mimosa - yeah it's supposed to do something like that. I got a peak on cbfm 5 days ago but no temp rise has happened. Peaks don't often happen for me these days as even though I do ovulate every month, it's weak. (Hence why I thought clomid might help). I've never gone as long as 5 days between peak and temp rise before

littlemimosa · 21/04/2019 15:35

Does seem strange. Perhaps you just got the surge but not the egg release as you say. I have no advice I’m afraid as I’m as baffled as you are. I have no idea what Gordon anymore. Sorry I can’t be of more help hun x

littlemimosa · 21/04/2019 15:35

Gordon?!
‘Goes on’

Cleozeta · 21/04/2019 16:34

I don't think Gordon knows either

Thank you for cheering me up!

Happy Easter everyone xx

Chatbash72 · 21/04/2019 19:45

Gordon needs a splash of tonic... 🤣🤣

littlemimosa · 21/04/2019 21:50

Ha ha 😂

So I finally took a test (internet cheapy) and bfn of course. Threw it away and started to google ‘can ICs be wrong/faulty?’ (Of course I did). Went in the bathroom bin to see what the brand was for google and thought oh I’ll have another look and inevitably I’m thinking I see a v faint shadow. Now I’ve been around long enough to know it means nothing but there’s always that 1% niggling hope. I’ll try to post it....(you will need a microscope and 20/20 vision to see it 😂)

littlemimosa · 21/04/2019 21:59

I can’t even get a photo to show ‘it’. There is no line I’m sure. If no af soon then god knows what the hell is happening with my body:(

Cleozeta · 21/04/2019 22:49

I would have been back to check it about 30 times by now mimosa 😂
Test again tomorrow!

littlemimosa · 22/04/2019 09:57

Stark white bfn. Not surprised. Don’t know why I even thought I could be pregnant. Now I’m just upset because I’ve not had af for over 90 days. It really does feel like the end of the road fertility wise I don’t know what else I could possibly do. Done every supplement (and done none), reflexology, acupuncture, yoga, herbs, meditation, healthy diet, no alcohol, no caffeine, some light exercise, no exercise, been to an ‘expert’, had all NHS tests including HSG and on and on. I genuinely think I’m out of eggs and these last couple of years have just been my body’s last attempt to ovulate in a spluttering way. Don’t know what to do now, not that there’s anything I can do. All hope is finally lost:(
Weasel - I think I’ll be joining you and just popping in to check up on everyone and trying to move on. Did you go on any contraception to make it feel ‘final’?

Chatbash72 · 22/04/2019 10:57

Hayley tamaddon preg at 42... keep the faith and hope ladies... keep dtd at any time of the month... sometimes you just can't predict Mother Nature.. @littlemimosa come off everything except the folic... you might find the release of not trying helps your body and mind.. xxxx

littlemimosa · 22/04/2019 10:58

Yeah I might do. Thanks Chat x

Cleozeta · 22/04/2019 11:20

Mimosa - sorry you are going through this Sad I feel I am not far behind.
Did you have FSH or AMH? How did it come out? That is your answer for egg reserve. I know mine is at the end of the line.
Still no temp rise today so I think my first (and last) clomid cycle is annovulatory.
I think from here I have to go either a) give up and move on on, or b) go full on IVF as a last ditch panic

hmmm123 · 22/04/2019 11:39

Checking in after a while. Sorry to hear about your confusing cycles @littlemimosa I had one of those last year and was convinced it was menopause but they have come back and now appear to be getting shorter ( which is not good either) but don't give up yet!

@Cleozeta sorry to hear you are worried. Could ivf be an option? We have decided it's not for us if we can't conceive but I think if you can it's worth throwing everything at it

Afm, I'm feeling like af is on its way☹️ it's due Thursday and I always get mad cleaning urges beforehand and that's what I feel like doing today! On the positive side at least will have a nice clean house!

I'm going to give it until the end of the summer before giving up ( I've already extended my deadline a couple of times!) if Mother Nature is listening this is definitely the last time!!

Feeling really depressed about going back to work after a lovely long weekend which isn't helping my mood but trying to send lots of happy positive thoughts out to you all!

littlemimosa · 22/04/2019 12:37

Thanks Cleo and Hmmmm. It’s good to have people to talk to who understand. I’ve just had a big blub to DH who didn’t know what to say but was very sweet. He was also ‘are you sure you’re not pregnant’ in a slightly nervous voice lol.
Cleo - I had fsh done a year ago and it was 6.5 BUT it was done on day 21 so not really valid. AMH is the only one I never had done but I don’t see the point for me. I know I’ll have few eggs (one ovary) so I don’t see the value in knowing a number. It’d only upset me more. I’m sorry too that you’re finding it so hard. You never know though. Perhaps the clomid affected your temps but you did ovulate?
Hmmm - what happened with your cycles? I’ve heard stories before of periods almost stopping then starting up again. My SIL is 47 and hers had practically stopped last year and now they are back regular as before! How odd.
I’m off to contemplate whether to finally have a clear out of all the baby stuff I’ve kept hold of. I think maybe it’s time to start letting some of it go:(

PetraRabbit · 22/04/2019 12:39

LittleMimosa I also think you should test again. I want so much for there to be a line for you.

littlemimosa · 22/04/2019 12:44

Oh bless you Petra❤️ I will get an frer if no af next week but honestly hun I know I’m not pregnant. My cycles have been going wonky (first closer together then lately further apart) for a couple of years now. I have to face facts. It has obviously gone through my mind that I got a ‘faulty’ batch of ICs but really what are the odds.....?!
Hope you’re feeling ok and that everything is going well x

littlemimosa · 22/04/2019 12:46

Ps a brand new unopened pack of CB digi ovulation tests (10) going for free. I got them at the till at Boots in the sale as the expiry date is end of April. Sure they’ll be ok for a couple more months though. PM me if you want them anyone...

Chatbash72 · 22/04/2019 13:05

@littlemimosa I've had a little clear out.. some little boy bits to my nephew and some girlie toys for my niece... not gone completely but freeing my brain.... can always re buy bits when they are needed.. xxxx

Cleozeta · 22/04/2019 17:53

Mimosa - you should totally get rid of it all, that way, maybe sods law will come along and make you need them Wink

littlemimosa · 22/04/2019 20:24

Yeah maybe so!
Chat - what about the big things like cots and peaks, what have you done with those?
What has everyone else done with baby stuff?

littlemimosa · 22/04/2019 20:25

Peaks?!
Prams lol

Cleozeta · 22/04/2019 20:51

I got rid of our baby stuff years ago, will restock if lucky enough

Hobbes39 · 22/04/2019 21:30

Hi @littlemimosa - sorry your cycles are so screwed up sure moment - like others I hope that it's a temporary thing - you are still relatively young for menopause - do your family have a history of early menopause?
Regarding baby stuff - I gave away some of our baby things after my last cycle failed, before I was convinced to go for this cycle - baby books, some clothes, Moses basket, some toys....
Felt hard, but good to be honest - I felt it was starting to clear some clutter in more ways than one, and I figured that I could always buy other things if need be... what I kept (buggy etc) is pretty useless for 1 baby as now selling single buggy to buy a double, so sods law worked for me!
And if it hadn't at least it wouldn't be cluttering my house... x
