Any 20s TTC first baby? :)

Hello!

I've just turned 24 and me and husband have just started TTC first baby. Thought that it would be good to have a thread going with a few people in a similar situation! Very few of my friends are in the same situation as we got married early and now thinking of babies whilst lots of friends are still at uni :)

Anyone one to join a group discussion with how things are going?

Sorry I was away over this weekend so have only just checked this post but it's great to see all of your replies!

We stopped using protection about 2/3 months ago as we wanted to ease into the whole TTC thing but then after a little while of not preventing it but also not 'trying' I decided I just want to go for it haha! We're both really in that stage of wanting a baby now so feel it's right to try :) I was on the pill years ago when we first got married but came of it because I didn't like it, so we've just used condoms for the last few years ..

This month (Feb) was our first month TTC but started period a couple of days ago so not this month :/

Hopefully we can support each other anyway! :)

How's everyone doing?

My sister casually started asking me when I'm going to be having babies (she's younger than me and no children but really excited for it!) As we are early days of trying I didn't tell her that we were and then she half jokingly sent me Pregnacare, the before pregnancy one. I have been taking folic acid for a couple of months but wondering does anyone think this is worth trying instead and is anyone else taking it? I've seen mostly good reviews with a few saying it messed up their cycle which I don't want as I'm very regular!

Anyway, hopefully everyone is doing well with the whole TTC thing!? AF is pretty much gone for me now, so will be trying this month :)

Hello! I’m 24 TTC #1, in cycle 2. DH is 37 so we have decided to get the ball rolling sooner rather than later.

@lovesT I’m taking pregnacare as advised by my Doctor, I was on 5000mcg folic acid, vit D and b12 injections and have got the OK to try now whilst supplementing. I take an extra 1000mcg b12 and 1200 folic acid on top which covers the other vits I need, so that probably makes a difference but if anything I feel a hell of a lot better for taking it and in better mood to DTD so I guess it’s good for that!

My AF is also just going/gone, snap baby dust to you!

Nearly all my ‘symptoms’ have disappeared now (10dpo) @LG0914!
The only one that has been consistent with me has been very tender breasts but of course that could very well be down to normal hormonal stuff! Had that since O day.
Been having some occasional sharp pains lasting a few seconds kind of where my ovaries are and further over right by the hip. Some days the pain is on the left and some days on the right. Doesn’t sound like anything pregnancy related though judging by what I’ve seen online!

Oh but one thing that has changed a bit has been more wet, white discharge. There’s still not a huge amount but (TMI!) I can sometimes feel it coming out

No sign of any bleeding or anything implantation wise I’m afraid.

Hi everyone! I’m 23 and have been TTC for 1 year.... still waiting for my first BFP! Me and my OH have tried tracking BBT, ovulation tests all sorts and not had any luck so far. AF due in 2 days soooo hoping it doesn’t arrive! Good luck to you all! Xx

@Ajhu12 heya! Corrr I can't imagine going through the stress of this month in month out for a year! Have you tried conceive+ lubricant when doing your BD?

We’re going to invest in it for March if AF arrives this month! It’s tiring and stressful and bloody annoying when everyone else is getting pregnant left right and centre!! Xxx

@Ajhu12 I would, i used it when I got pregnant before MC at Christmas and got BFP straight away... worth a try! Helps keep the OH swimmers doing there thing for longer😂

Hi! Joining in if that's ok 29, ttc #1. On cycle 4 and even though it's early days, feeling frustrated as surrounded by pregnant friends/friends with children.

Worried my weight might be a factor- I'm 13 stone and a size 16. Trying to diet but finding it hard at the moment!

Hi @EvenLess Have you tried Slimming World - i started in September and have lost (2lb off) 2stone ! could be worth a try if you think it may help :)

I came off the pill after 10 years in October and this is the second cycle- im really hoping this month is a BFP! anyone struggling not to get really excited?!?!

Yes she did! But I’ve now ordered conceive plus ready to try this month! Can’t wait to give it a go!
