Just had a negative test. Gutted 😔

Yorkshiredolls · 05/05/2019 07:32

McHelenz congratulations, that’s a clear positive on that test and looks like an FRER? a bit strange it’s not positive this morning though, was it the same type of test or less sensitive?

McHelenz · 05/05/2019 08:35

@yorkshiredolls yea another FRER. I've just come back to it and there is a line on it. I dunno if I just didn't wait long enough.

Yorkshiredolls · 05/05/2019 08:50

aw that’s brill then and pretty conclusive! very exciting!!

mussie · 05/05/2019 14:53

@McHelenz with a positive like the one you posted, I think you're right that maybe you just didn't wait long enough! Maybe you could get a digital? Congratulations!

McHelenz · 05/05/2019 15:06

I've bought 2 FRERs and a digital for the next week! @mussie

mussie · 05/05/2019 22:43

@McHelenz excellent! I look forward to you reporting back!!

I am now finally in the TWW for my last cycle before TTC. I ovulated a whole week late! That's never happened. Hoping it's not a sign that my cycles are about the start playing silly buggers. AF due in a week, and it's all systems go after that ✅

McHelenz · 07/05/2019 08:40

@mussie forgot I didn't come back! I got this yesterday afternoon so I don't think I can deny it.

Vio112 · 07/05/2019 10:15

Congrats McHelenz! That's excellent news! How do you feel? I have one more cycle to go before I start trying. Feeling a bit nervous about everything. All feels very real now. X

McHelenz · 07/05/2019 10:32

I rang the doctors today and felt a bit emotional about it. I'm ok, not really got any symptoms. I'm now just a bag of nerves x

mrssunshinexxx · 07/05/2019 11:42

I often think this the idea and want to be pregnant but then when is actually happens xx

mussie · 07/05/2019 18:30

Oh congratulations @McHelenz . Of course you'll be anxious to start with, comes with the territory! All the best ☺️

AnnaAZTEC · 07/05/2019 20:53

MEEEE!
I downloaded 5 apps and they were giving me different fertility windows but when I checked the signs of ovulation, it was matching with Smilelab days so I deleted all other apps and remained with smilelab.co/promotion because to me it's very accurate everything matches that's how I managed to get the pregnancy I lost in December but am trying again.

Vio112 · 09/05/2019 16:54

So the last time I said to OH "shall I make an appointment to remove IUD?" he just said "up to you"... 🙄 What does that mean?! Don't know whether it's "yes, but it's your body so do what's right for you" or "I really don't care". And when I try to push him to clarify he gets really shirty. Needless to say, I'm going to call his bluff and give the gp a call next week. He made a soppy face last night when "baby" was mentioned so I'm taking that as his decision. Sigh 😏

zinrepus · 10/05/2019 09:33

Congrats everyone who has graduated! @vio112 I feel you, our stressor is our GP let us know there's up to a 3 month wait to have a coil removed. And we're going to move hopefully in the autumn... So do I start the wheels moving asking for an appointment or do I wait until we're moved and registered with a new GP? I suspect I'll do the latter and hope the wait time is shorter when we move. Confused

mrssunshinexxx · 10/05/2019 10:00

@zinrepus defo book an app now just say it's causing you problems so they will take it out sooner don't mention it's to start a family x

Vio112 · 10/05/2019 11:53

@zinrepus definitely make an appointment now! You could always cancel it if things change. That's strange that there's such a long waiting list when it's such a quick and straight forward procedure. Maybe it's because there's only one person qualified to do it in your area? Also, you might be able to get it done quickly at a family planning clinic rather than at your gp depending on where you live.

zinrepus · 13/05/2019 16:54

Met up with some pals over the weekend. One is nearing 40 and they're doing some fertility treatments. Brought up that was thinking of setting a deadline when I would want to get on the list to have it out, so I know at latest 3 months after we'd be moving... He countered that it would be nice for us to have one more Christmas without a baby or planning for one. So I'll be in the waiting pool for a while longer, but it probably means the security of knowing I can afford to wait until we're settled up North before trying to get it out... Ah well!

mrssunshinexxx · 13/05/2019 17:27

@zinrepus that's a shame but you both need to be 100% on board for such a huge life changing thing
I wish you luck when the time is right x

Vio112 · 13/05/2019 18:13

Aw zinrepus that's a shame if you were raring to go straight away but sounds sensible to me. You're coming up north? I moved up to Leeds from London last summer so wondering if your move is along the same lines 🤔😂 no way we were going to be able to afford buying a house/starting a family down there. Loving life in the North 😁

mrssunshinexxx · 13/05/2019 18:22

@Vio112 you are not so far from me Grin

zinrepus · 16/05/2019 17:16

It's fine I agree we both need to be 100% and it gives me full permission to be a right idiot for a little while longer. Grin
It's good to have a better sense of schedule and while, yes, I'm broody as all heck right now, I also can admit it'll be easier to start trying when we're on an off year of Christmas with my family.
@vio112 We're in Berkshire now and looking to return to Scotland. Not Leeds cheap, but all the rest of the perks of life up north, which I'm quiet excited about.
The longer I sit with it, the more relieved I am that we won't be moving and expecting to start TTC immediately. I'll have some time to reacclimate socially before going dry. Wink

mrssunshinexxx · 23/05/2019 09:15

How is everyone getting on x

mussie · 24/05/2019 07:04

@mrssunshinexxx we are officially TTC! Just waiting to ovulate. Will be another week or so, so not much news yet! How are you getting on?

mrssunshinexxx · 24/05/2019 07:08

@mussie how exciting
I am 8dpo so just waiting for af to arrive or to test, nervous!
