Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

Haha @Scarletrose18 I know what you mean about the boobs, I felt like I’d had two big implants lol and never had such difficulty getting comfortable bras! As much as I loved the fullness getting underwear now is so much easier and I don’t think I’d swap that part at least even if I don’t have the boobs anymore . Fingers crossed your ovulation is on the way, it sounds very promising

Hope you’re feeling better @PastaSaucehoarder and I relate to the lopsided thing too and promise you they do even out. For some reason my left emptied no problem but the right had blocked ducts and was a right buggar to get the milk out.

That’s interesting about how you might get boy/girl wonder if that’s worked for anyone but as you say Scarlet prob loads of other factors too.
AF finally finishing so hoping gone by tomorrow and onwards and upwards with the ovulation (I pray)

@cocobana I went to mothercare but I thought their nursing bras were far too expensive so I ordered some off of the internet and they were super comfy... cotton and a light padding, even comfy enough to sleep in. Best of all they were only a few pounds. If we get our bfp in the near future, remind me and I will post a link.

Just read more about it, yes it seems that is how sex is determined. By which sperm (X or Y) reaches the egg.

What day are you due to Ov? I have had other signs of ov (change in cm) but I will be ok about it if I get my AF in a couple of weeks and try next month as I really wasnt expecting anything this month so this is a bonus.

Thats good news about the tests getting darker though, thats definitely a good sign! I don't ovulate until two weeks today. So you could say that I'm in the TWW for the TWW. But I've got my fingers crossed tight for you!

Happy to say that a nice hot shower and hand expressing has made me feel a bit more normal again! And I'm glad to hear that you both evened out eventually, theres hope my boobs yet! I've been living in a comfy sports bra the last couple of days, don't know how I could've coped without it.

Glad to here the period is easing up @Cocobana, it won't be long until you're ovulating too, how exciting!! Did you say you'd ordered the preseed? The reviews are fantastic, I just hope they're all true.

Hi ladies, could I join your chat? I think I'm 2dpo, but have missed it as my DH was working nights 😞 not quite giving up hope yet. I have heard of people getting pregnant dtd 4 days before ovulation but I think it's rare.

So need some people to obsess with on the dreaded tww!!

Hi @cheesemumma, welcome! I've heard that sperm can live for up to five days inside you so it should definitely possible to become pregnant four days before.

Thanks @Scarletrose18 i knew the male determines the sex to make XX (girl) or XY (boy) but never knew DTD less regularly could possibly help to determine a girl and every day a boy (if i’ve got that he right away around !?!)
Thanks for the bra tips, I just got mine from Asda (cheap and cheerful) at the time but they weren’t the most flattering and I liked getting back into normal bras again. DS loves all of animal programmes too Scarlet but he's been watching ben and holly's little kingdom and has has gone off to find dh at the moment and bedtime shortly.

@PastaSauceHoarder lol I wonder how many years we will be stuck watching these shows... I have always been against TV in the bedroom but I think im coming around to the idea lol. yess, another crazy night in, might get even crazier and heat up a mince pie with my cup of tea

Tell me more about this preseed. Is it expensive?

@PastaSauceHoarder I ordered conception plus because it was cheaper on amazon than preseed and looked similar. Exactly I noticed they have absolutely amazing reviews, I think it’s going to be worth a try. As you said hope they’re true and not paid reviews, seemed legit though. Hope it won’t be too long until Ov if my cycle the same. Hope also these two weeks speed by for you and your ov dates are here too. Pleased you’re feeling abit better, lots of hope for boobs, mine improved gradually over a year. They fill out more with fatty tissue replacing the milk tissue and you do get some firmness back. What you see now is not the end result (far from it.)

Has anybody watched the great sperm race. I think it's currently on YouTube.bits fascinating, and really shows you the challenges of becoming pregnant! It's amazing that anyone conceives. It gave me more patience when TTC the first time round.

Im 30, ttc number 2 and have no idea what cycle day im on as only stopped pill 10 days ago

Preseed is a lubricant that mimics egg-white cervical fluids which supposedly aids the sperm for an easier journey to the egg. As I said the reviews are great, but we can only see how it goes! I paid roughly around £15 for it so its not exactly cheap.

I haven't watched it @cheesemumma, not sure I want to see how difficult it is. 😣 Did it take you long to conceive your first, if you don't mind my asking?

my DS is nearly 10 so it's been a while since I've TTC however I'm rapidly remembering how much work goes into it!

@pastasaucehoarder not at all relatively, 6 months, but I'm very impatient and found it emotionally draining. I'm a control freak and found the waiting challenging however, the program explained the whys which helped me.

Ahh ok, I will have a look online and read reviews and look at dif prices as well. So we need preseed and brazil nuts. I also just read that kale helps too. Maybe the nice crispy seaweed you get in the chinese would do lol
Thats what I have had alot of last few days... EWCM. But I took an ov test this eve and its went light again so I really have no idea... maybe its just my body getting ready for AF. Who knows, anyways, im hopefull for AF soon.

Fingers crossed for AF soon, at least you'll have a better understanding at where you're at with your body if you come on. I never seem to get much EWCM so I'm hoping the preseed helps in that respect.

Goodness I'm not patient either @cheesemumma, I can't imagine how draining it must've been for you. 😔 How old is your little one now?

@cheesemumma yes that’s the dreaded conception program I mentioned to Scarletrose18 and PastaSauceHoarder alittle up thread. It’s so scary isn’t it!?! Me and dh watched it before conceiving DC1 and thought flipping heck that will never happen to us.

@PastaSauceHoarder got some Brazil nuts in today and my conception plus came yay! Got everything I need now I think. Just waiting for Ov but according to my usual cycle that shouldn’t be until next week. I think we’re around the same time aren’t we? At least I hope I’m next week as I’m only working off my usual 28 day cycle length when not on the pill as it could have changed.
@Scarletrose18 any sign of your Ov or period? Fingers crossed for you, its difficult not knowing where you are in your cycle. How long have you been off the pill all together now? It took me 3 weeks 3 days for my period to return. Hopefully you’ll be lucky and conceive before it

No idea where im at lol @cocobana, sorry if tmi but I have had alot of EWCM today again. I just want AF to arrive so I know where im at with everything, so 11 days off pill now so could arrive anytime. It arrive after 2 weeks off pill last time.

Yaay ov next week for you It will be here before u know it so start eating those nuts and some lovely kale and pineapple with them Will u take opk each day from when AF stops? x

Thanks haha I love pineapple and brazils but not so fond of kale, the crispy seaweed you mentioned sounded much more appealing i’m sure I could just have that instead lol (I convince myself)
Yeah I think I’ll just take ov test everyday from today now that AF has disappeared. I took my first test today and negative as expected. I want to try pin point my fertility window because on the mini pill I was having a 26 day cycle but off pill it’s usually 28 days but it may have changed I have no idea! I think it’ll feel better just to know what to expect and when.
EWCM sounds promising, could you be ovulating? If not I hope AF is on the way for you so that you can figure out your cycle alittle better. Fingers crossed for you!

Its another 13 days until I ovulate, @Cocobana. 😣 I'm still on my period, though tomorrow should be the last day. Hopefully you still have a 28 day cycle! I wish mine was just a bit shorter, the waiting is driving me crazy!

@pastasaucehoarder hoping AF ends tomorrow for you then the countdown begins Although they say your cycles can sync so keep chatting to coco and maybe your ov will come early.

Here is a pic of the tests ladies. And the times etc on them so u can see them. Not sure if I did maybe ovulate on 12th or if I had a slight spike with my body trying to get back to normal.

Btw, I havn't done first wee of the morning, been waiting until 2nd at about 8. (yes im up weeing lots early lol) but anyways... for you ladies taking your ov tests now...I researched it and you only dont test with first wee as you usually have the surge in afternoon time so if you test in morning you can miss it... but if your both doing 2 a day this means you could do one AM and do one PM.

I had to take 12th day PM out as it wasnt really in tact, must of got the dry bit wet.

Sometimes my tests fluctuate light and dark before a get a proper full on positive, @Scarletrose18. I'd just keep testing everyday if I were you. You'll ovulate sooner or later, and if you get your period instead then at least you can start fresh.

Thanks @pastasaucehoarder I still have pics from ov tests from concieving ds and they are so similar, never going fully dark. Now with that and the large amount of ewcm for days its confusing. I will keep testing.
