Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it. Hmm

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

@PastaSauceHoarder just think your AF is almost gone and then next you’ll be waiting for ov the same as me and you never know it could come early like @Scarletrose18 said, FC for you, this week will go fast, we’ll all have to get eating our walnuts and pineapple.
Scarlet that smoothie sounds positively divine Hmm lol the kale just adds a nice edge to it 🤢. Hopefully not too long, I’m just testing once a day in the afternoon. God yours look really positive, looks like you’re in your fertile window. I hope your taking full advantage of this possible opportunity.

Cocobana · 13/11/2018 21:59

you’re+*

Cocobana · 13/11/2018 22:02

Oh and yes i’m watching it and thoroughly enjoying the series. I’ve also been watching one born every minute ondemand. It’s been interesting seeing behind the scenes and getting a glimpse at other people’s experience. I think I’m obsessed with birthing programs at the moment.

Cocobana · 13/11/2018 22:02

/s+*

Scarletrose18 · 13/11/2018 22:11

@cocobana divine ha ha that made me laugh. Yes I am, we dtd Sun, Mon and yesterday. Havnt got my nuts yet though so not fully taking advantage lol. Im still doubtful that I did ov, feel a bit silly about it all.

TLC has a new one just started too called sweet home sextuplets, amazing! Yes thats all I watch as well, its hard not too, thankfully dh quite enjoys the shows too Smile

Scarletrose18 · 13/11/2018 22:14

Oh just reread and that nut comment sounds a bit naughty. Wasnt meant to. Sorry. Halo

There was also a show on sky RTE called the rotunda, it was very similar to one born. Do u watch the shows with your hubby?

PastaSauceHoarder · 13/11/2018 22:15

Noo, I don't want to watch any programmes like that, I'm far too broody as it is, I wouldn't be able to cope!! 😂 I thought about re-watching Call the Midwife (definitely one of my favourite shows) the other night actually but decided against it - last time I binged watched it all when I started my maternity and I was waiting for my little one to arrive.
I'm trying to take my mind OFF babies, at least until I'm ovulating! Grin

PastaSauceHoarder · 13/11/2018 22:17

Oops x-posted with you there, @Scarletrose18!

Cocobana · 14/11/2018 09:06

@Scarletrose18 I’m sure the nut comment was perfectly innocent Hmm haha just kidding. Well it sounds like you’ve been doing everything you can which is good. Don’t feel silly because from what you’ve said it sounds like you’ve def been in your fertile phase and even if it wasn’t spot on the sperm can live for 5 or 7 days (I can’t remember which) so there’s always a chance.
Thank you for the recommendations I’ll def record those. I love all of those kind of programs, i used to like ‘Baby changes everything’ and ‘The Busbys’ as well but I think they’re finished at the moment. Unfortunately DH won’t watch any of them with me, it’s not his thing. He’s more into his sports, watching his own stuff and playing on the PlayStation Angry lol typical man.

Oh no @PastaSauceHoarder I know what you mean, I’m broody too but for some reason those programs help me. I know what you mean about maternity, the build up was really exciting. You’ll get that again, you’re the perfect age and will be nice and fertile. I’m 32 (practically an old lady lol it didn’t help that I actually purchased a teapot!! Don’t ask, dh looked at me like Hmm wtf) god knows how much baby making time I have left!!

Scarletrose18 · 14/11/2018 09:31

@Pastasaucehoarder, oooh, I havnt seen that, love a new wee show to watch, will have a look on catchup and give it a go. I know what you mean, I used to watch this show called my dream home (not baby related though) and even when I was in early stages of labour, I bounced on my ball through the night binge watching and now it reminds me of that time too.

You havnt long to wait until Ov at all, I kmow thats easier said than done as its only thing on your mind everyday. X

@cocobana I love the busby quints! And thats why I started recording sextuplets, its the same except 6 babies!! Yes the first round of baby changes everything was the best. Did you watch little people big world? Well there is a new show like that called little life on the prairie and she is trying to get pregnant, its good. Its on tlc so I think catchup should have it. Another good one was Hodges half dozen. Also tlc.

Yes at 32 you are ancient for sure lol I have to admit I own a teapot, I would rather have a cup of tea or coffee than pop or alcohol, I take a hot water bottle to bed and and one of my favourite shows was Downton Abbey... but im still young! Grin oh and I dont have any gray hairs... yet x

OP posts:
Cocobana · 14/11/2018 10:02

@Scarletrose18 I watched property brothers/my dream home on my maternity too lol if made me want to seriously nest, still keep telling dh I need the property brothers to visit our house and knock out acouple of walls and make it open concept lol.
OMG how did I not know about these other shows I’m going to get looking on catch up as I have so many to watch! I haven’t seen the others no. Haha no grey hairs yet either (not that i’ve noticed anyway but my hairdresser could just be being kind...Confused I swear I’m an old lady trapped inside a 32 year old body lol. I love my teapot plus I have a certain relative who drinks copious amounts of tea and it saves me keep getting up! I get the teapot out and she’s sorted lol. For some reason it tastes nicer out of there as well. I drink the odd glass of pop but not regularly and tend to stick to water and the odd cuppa. Alcohol is minimal because I haven’t got the tolerance that I used to, an odd beer, glass of fizz does me these days.

Cocobana · 14/11/2018 10:03

*it

Scarletrose18 · 14/11/2018 10:24

@cocobana Havnt got the tolerance you used to... you are defo past your prime now then. In all seriousness though, I read (think I do far too much reading and researching lol) anyway, I read that as each year passes your egg count decreases so @PastaSauceHoarder you will have far more eggs. I was also just thinking, (this is a day of thoughts Grin ) Were all talking about the shows we watched on mat leave but it will be so dif for us all next time as our time will be spent chasing dc1's around, no going for a lie down or just doing nothing cos were tired or not making dinner that night cos we feel sick... that makes me sad... and a little scared too ha ha.

Yesss! I would love them to visit uk. Crazy how big some of the houses over there are.

OP posts:
Cocobana · 14/11/2018 10:39

@Scarletrose18 haha oh totally! I know it’s so scary that fertility will be declining.
@PastaSauceHoarder you will have a great chance. I count my blessings that I had ds so easily and I’m grateful for him. What ever is to be is to be this time around. It will certainly be a very different maternity for a second baby as you say. No rubbing bump and laying about. I know I think god will I cope with two!?! (If I’m lucky enough.)

PastaSauceHoarder · 14/11/2018 21:57

I bet we'll all be so occupied by our firstborns that our second pregnancies will fly by though!

@Cocobana stop talking silly, 32 is not old at all. You have plenty of time to have loads more children if that's what you wanted! Smile My mum has five children, the first she had at 25 and the last she had at 42! She's my idol, I'd love to have lots and lots of kids (DH has said three max though, boo hoo).

How has everyone been? Smile My period is finally easing up - 12 days until Operation GetMePregnant!! Wink

Scarletrose18 · 14/11/2018 22:25

Not long until im 31 so im not far behind you @cocobana but seeing as you are a year older I like to rub it in Grin Grin but you are just a young thing really Wink

I thought I only wanted 2 @Pastasaucehoarder but now may like 3 but dh said no way, 2 is the limit. (We will see lol) Your mum spaced them out well, prob great to have little helpers each time, and so good to hear she got pg at 42... amazing how the human body works.

Yaay for af easing. Hoping ov comes quickly for you.
I have been fine thank you, just not got a clue where im at now, sorry if tmi but I had ewcm for 6 days total, 2 of the days it was in excess but I never got a dark opk line so back to waiting for AF I think. Will keep opking just incase. How are you doing?

OP posts:
PastaSauceHoarder · 15/11/2018 11:26

@Scarletrose18 Gosh the body can be a mystery can't it... Do you think you're having so much EWCM because your still getting used to not being on the pill or do you usually have that much? Hopefully your body gives you some answers soon!!

Yes its brilliant the way us siblings are spaced out, I'm 10 years older than my sister and 13 years older than my brother. Its lovely, I've always wanted to be a mum but I think watching them two grow up made me even more determined to have children. Plus my daughter loves them to bits because they're young enough to run around and play with her!

I'm good, I'm throwing myself into planning Christmas to try and take my mind of TTC! 😂🎄

Cocobana · 15/11/2018 12:52

@PastaSauceHoarder oh no kids in 40’s for me lol I don’t want to be changing nappies past mid thirties but hats off to all those ladies who do. I was just kidding about the age thing, it’s just how me and my dh and friends joke when we say god we’re getting old. On a serious note I’m sure you’ll be absolutely fine, you’re doing the right thing taking your mind off it, Christmas prep sounds like a mighty fine plan to me!

@Scarletrose18 fingers crossed you get a positive ov test any day now. I have to wait until next week for my fertility window I think, this week for me like pasta’s will be Christmas orientated to try make the time go faster!

Scarletrose18 · 15/11/2018 18:41

@pastasaucehoarder Lovely, I always wanted younger bros and sisters as a child.

Well I would usually have quite alot of cm pasta. It would be my period, tacky, EW, tacky, period again so its normally exactly on track but then like you said I have been on the pill and havnt had a proper af for 2 years so I think may be my body gearing up for AF. I feel like I would rather have af first so that the womb lining is good and healthy and for dates etc too. I never took opks before my AF last time so I never really had this confusion lol. Did you get ang of this before first AF because you ov before it didnt you?

@cocobana its good that you know when to expect it so you can be ready and on the ball Smile

Are you guys getting asked all time by people about having another? Im finding I get asked all the time now... I just say maybe in the future. I wonder what would happen if next time someone asks we were to say yes actually and just launch into all of our ttc details and opks and cm etc ha ha Grin

Any good shows for tonight ladies? Think we will watch teen mom OG the new series is out (yes I really dont get out enough ha ha)

OP posts:
Cocobana · 15/11/2018 19:52

@Scarletrose18 I’m with ya there lol I just watched the latest episode of teen mom OG after dinner. Your taste in tv shows is exactly the same as mine and I don’t know anybody who watches all of these programs like me until now! I bet you’ve seen ‘I didn’t know I was pregnant’ as well. That one always amazes me, they literally have minimal to zero symptoms, can you imagine!?!
Tonight I think I’m going to watch some of my The Sinner series 2 on Netflix.
Oh and as for people asking when going to have another I know can you imagine their face if you’re like ‘well yeah we’re trying at the moment and you should see all of the stringy CM i’m getting and had my legs in the air blah blah blah.’ Shock That would deserve them right for being nosey! Grin

Scarletrose18 · 15/11/2018 20:28

@cocobana I bet you lots of people you know watch them but they just wont admit to it ha ha.

Yes I did, I really dont believe all of them didnt know.... fair enough some are very large ladies so prob couldnt of felt it but some of them just seem like crazy cats that want on tv lol.

The sinner? Havnt heard of it, will look it up.

I think AF is coming soon cos i can feel little bit of lower pre cramps. Yaay. Excited for it to start, prob will just moan the whole time when its here though

OP posts:
Cocobana · 15/11/2018 20:49

@Scarletrose18 you’re right I bet they aren’t admitting it, the bugars! Well I don’t mind people knowing about my quirky programs!

Exactly the larger ladies maybe I could understand but the others seemed a little dubious . A photo would emerge of them unknowingly 8 month pregnant in a bikini with a washboard stomach....hmmm very suspicious!
Oh yes I liked the first series of the sinner and they’ve made a second one but I have a feeling it’s going to be a let down but I’m watching it anyway.
Hopefully AF will make her appearance soon so you at least know where you are in your cycle. It’s easier for working out dates and everything too I suppose. I conceived ds before my first period off the pill so it was difficult to know.

cheesemumma · 16/11/2018 22:53

Hey ladies. Hope you're all ok?

Read through the thread and it made me chuckle. I'll put my hand in the air also and say I watch all of those programmes. And loved baby changes everything. I know someone in real life that 'didnt know she was pregnant'. Never believed it until then. I used to get angry when they would say 'i put on weight, my period stopped and I was sick all the time but I had no symptoms, so had no idea!'. Have you seen little woman LA? I'd recommend it!! Good job it's anonymous on here hey!!

I'm due my period in 10 days but think I missed the boat this month so not obsessing as much as I normally would-be though that may change next week.

@pastasaucehoarder I'm really getting into Xmas as well this year. Just bought DH present in Amazon sale so only have a couple left to get now!!

Hope af finishes soon

Cocobana · 17/11/2018 11:28

Hi @cheesemumma I’m good thanks how are you? Haha it is a good job we’re anonymous isn’t it!?! I’ve seen the clips for little women of LA but haven’t watched it. I’ll add it to my list that Scarlet’s given me. Oh no sorry you think you’ve missed the boat this month, hopefully next month will be your month instead!! I’m due to ov next week but trying to relax and not to think about it too much! I feel abit behind with my Christmas shopping as have a couple of birthdays before it and need to catch up! [santa]

Scarletrose18 · 17/11/2018 14:56

Hey you guys! Well how is everyones day and whats your status with cycles now? I know your patiently waiting ov @cocobana Halo . Would you usually be quite regular with your cycles? @cheesemumma How are things with you @pastasaucehoarder?

I have been getting a few little cramps, quite a few today so im excited that AF is coming so I can get on the ball and know whats what GrinGrin This has been such a long 2 weeks. Felt like I came off the pill years ago... ok well not quite but u know what I mean. No I dont have much patience lol Im trying though! Halo

Havnt watched little women cheese, but I will give it a go too. Had to venture out to the shops today and its been crazy, so busy, I cant wait to get home again.
