Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

DS has had a blast and dh and I have spent quite a bit of time in the hotub, its been nice to finally get to relax just 3 of us.

I know what you mean about dtd, we have also been dtd just for fun and I realised how wrapped up in ttc I have been this month.

I've had positive OPKs for three days in a row now, I'm not sure when I should count my DPO?

Lovel and relaxing, It lights up so we were able to use it at night too 👌

I had bought ready made meals to heat in the oven, the only cooking I have done is making a breakfast for us this morning. I am loving being so lazy. 😂

Did you host many at your house today? How did dd get on with her dinner?

Oh thats a tough one, and confusing. well they say you ovulate 12 to 48 hours after positive opk so if this is day 3 then I would assume you have already ovulated? You could be one or two days po depending on when egg was released. What do u think?

Im 7dpo today (actually its 5 past 12 now so im technically 8 days po) I deliberately didnt bring any pt with me so that I wouldnt be tempted lol

@PastaSauceHoarder thanks I had a lovely Christmas, sounds like you did too. Aww bless you that’s lovely that you got to give your dd her baby doll. Ds’s actually ate this dinner this year and thoroughly enjoyed it it was great to see. I’m similar to you on keep getting +opk and I’m a little confused as to when I’ve actually ovulated. I never thought I’d say this but I just want to see a faded line today! I had a very close to positive cd16 pm but when compared with cd17 am (yesterday) I now know that my first proper positive was Christmas morning; over 24 hours later I’m still getting positives. I had cramps yesterday and a lot more ewcm so I’m thinking I ovulated yesterday and maybe the LH levels are still high in my system which accounts for today’s strong positive! I’ve had a couple of extremely dark ones so I don’t know. God so confusing, hope my luteal phase won’t be short this month, i was hoping for a two week one but it’s not looking promising! We’ve DTD lots but today we need a rest so if it hasn’t happened by now I give up!

@Scarletrose18 so jealous of your lovely quiet Christmas and your hot tub!! The light up ones are amazing aren’t they!? I remember being like a kid at Christmas when I found out while sitting in it under the stars that the thing lit up too; me and dh were like whoah! Holidays are meant for having a break with the cooking, you enjoy your rest. Not long of your TWW to go and I think you’ve done the right thing leaving the tests at home!

So you are 1dpo today coco. Happy days, wont be long coming in. I know im worried about that too as I expected to ov cd14 but didnt until cd18 so think my LP will be short. Hopefully not too short for a mini me. Lol.

Yes its lovely, would you go back to the place with h.tub that you were telling me u went to? When do you start back to work?

Hmm, I took another OPK today and its positive again... But now I'm thinking maybe the first two positives weren't really positives, if that makes sense. Can anyone shed some light? The last four strips on the photo attached are from the last four days.

@PastaSauceHoarder sorry I'm not really that great with OPK's that are strips. I don't understand how they work. I only really understand the tests, there much easier to read I think. Why don't you try them? Sainsbury do a pack for £5 or something

I reckon the first two 'positives' I got weren't really positives and I've actually ovulated on CD18/19... Sigh. That would give me a 33 day cycle this time round though.

I REALLYYYY don't want to DTD anymore. 😭

Days 1 and 2 look like positives but then today and yesterday are defo positives. Not sure what it could mean. U said before that you always get af type cramps when ovulating, did u get them yet?

I googled it @pasta from what I read quite a few ladies that had it have got bfp so I think its a good sign for u for December!

@Scarletrose18 Yea i think I’m 1dpo today. I’ve been getting positive opks today but when I compare my symptoms yesterday to today and the strips i’d say I ovulated yesterday (cd17). I think the lh levels are just taking time to come back down. I’ve entered a 31 day cycle into ovia due to last month to be on the safe side.
Yes we have been there twice afew years apart and would def go back. I think it’ll be a nice place to take ds when he’s a bit older.
When do you go home? It sounds like you’ve all had a lovely relaxing time. Did you have a dinner on Christmas Day?
@scarlet I’m practically a SAHM and only work very very part so I can’t complain about going back in January!

Its a dif sort of holiday isnt it @coco I would love to book to come back again. And you were right about the toys, ds has just been happy to explore the cabin and the outside so I didnt need to pack too many toys, thank you. 🙂

Home tomorrow... I have no idea, I thought I was 28 day cycle but that would make af due on Saturday (11 dpo) because of the late ovulation so im really not sure. Will need to see what date af comes to know (hopefully I will never know lol) I have really got my hopes up now this month which is silly because ill be really gutted if I get a bfn but at the same time ill be in shock if I get bfp because its only first month... if that makes sense? So many emotions. Do you have a good feeling for this month?
