Hello all of you lovely mumsnet peeps! So I have literally just created an account right now.

Just stopped my mini pill. Have a 15 month old son, excited and nervous to try for baby 2! Baby one came after first period from stopping pill which i know was very fortunate but its given my high expectations for this time...which is not a good thing as chances are wont happen that way twice. Trying to be realistic and casual about it.

Anyone else trying for second... or first?

The one at the bottom is my OPK today, what do we all think?

Your OPKs are looking great, ovulation any day for you now; it looks so close! Mine are more like your lighter ones and weirdly have seemed to fade off again when I had stronger ones earlier in the week, I haven’t taken one today yet. If I ovulate late like last time it will be Wednesday; according to Ovia that is my peak day. I’m hoping I will ovulate abit earlier though as had put the late ov down to an affect of the pill last cycle.

@Blueflower22 oh sorry you got a bfn but you still have a really good chance (I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you!) ✨✨✨

CD17 for me @Cocobana and had my positive OPK yesterday - we've DTD everyday for the past four days, I've had enough! 😂

I just wanted to ask, how do the two lines work on a pregnancy test. I tested again at 9dpo using a frer and hit a negative. I've dismantled the test and I'm looking at the lines. I can see red smudges I don't know if that's the formation of a line? Does that mean anything? Xx

Im sure it will be here soon @cocobana but still its anoying when u test expecting it and its not there yet.
Im just cleaning and organising things for going. I have sat down to reply to your message and feel like I have lost my motivation now ... why do 1 year olds have so much to pack! 😂

@Scarletrose18 thanks, I’ve got a much stronger line this morning and sorry for tmi but had lots of ewcm. @pasta’s prediction of my +opk possibly being on Christmas Day could come true! It’s looking very close now. I’m going to test again later with the line being almost there and my symptoms.
I know it all crazy the amount ds had when we went away, he had whole big hold-all to himself and all the toys we took ended up being pointless as he was far more interested in exploring the surroundings! I bet you can’t wait to get in that hot tub and have a relax, not long now! How long of your tww do you have left now? You may be able to squeeze in a cheeky glass of fizz over Christmas, maybe in the hottub!

@Blueflower22 if you’re not sure if just take another test as could be evap lines. You just need a second straight pink line for bfp. Good luck 👍🏼😃✨✨✨✨

Sorry @bluefower I didnt notice your message. I cant tell from that test im sorry. Do u have some more tests? Maybe try one tomorrow AM? Your changes of getting an early bfp are higher from 10dpo. Thinking of u.

Woop woop @pasta did you find the chocolate brazil nuts? I know what u mean about having enough of dtd. The "everyday" novelty wears off after a few days 😂 poor dh they get used to dtd everyday then our fertile time ends and its no more for them 😂

@Scarletrose18 god yes so hectic this time of year but we have still found time to DTD at least every other day. Have a fantastic holiday!! Are you finished packing now? I’ve been clearing ds’s old toys away that he no longer plays with and making room for his new presents. Me and dh will set them all up when he’s in bed tonight. He’s in need of his older boy things bless him. Santa comes tomorrow yay!! I don’t know where the build up has gone 🎅🏼👍🏼✨✨

Thanks @scarletrose18 definitely can relax now, it’s nice to know that my cycle is getting back to normal. I have felt much better than last month too. We DTD this morning and this evening today, poor dh is worn out. I have some plain Brazil’s and some nice chocolate ones in my posh fruit and nut mix. Hi ladies, I'm just popping on to say that I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and have all ate, drank and been merry with your loved ones! 🎅🏻🍾🎄

I've had a truly magical day, watching the excitement and happiness on DDs face as she opened her presents (the baby doll especially) is something I've dreamt about all my life! 💕
Festivities have been so busy with family that DH and I only realised this evening that it was the first time in four days we've been properly alone together - we spent the time having lovely not-all-about-TTC sex which was just a perfect way to end the day.

Great news about the OPK, @Cocobana!! Fingers crossed for good news in January! 🤞🏻
I'm on my third positive OPK now... Today's was crazy dark which says online that it may have been the moment the egg was released or something. Either way we've DTD for the past six days so we're covered!! 😂
