Me too

mellongoose · 07/10/2018 05:40

Yay! I found you!

In answer to your alcohol question. No I didn't give it up completely. I would have a glass of red to help relax in the evening. Not every day but 2-3 times a week. No more than one.

Since getting the BFP I haven't liked the taste. Which is good!!

CookieWaffle · 07/10/2018 06:04

Checking in!

Had a quick read back, Critter great that everything is sounding positive. Fingers crossed for you! I'm so impressed you lost 3st since May! I'm back on the keto to see if it helps, I didn't want to go full diet mode but I'm wondering if I'll have to to try and make this work. I did manage 3st in 6 months before but it all went back on again. I have just managed to lose 1st since summer though.

CD2 today, had a weird 23 day cycle which is now starting to freak me out that something is wrong. Would explain why I thought I ovulated early. I also said that I would seek help when it came to cycle 7 but I'm too afraid to. Gonna try for another month at least.

Evug1234 · 07/10/2018 07:51

Hi everyone.... I have been following this forum for long. I just turned 40 and have been TTC DC3 for past 2 years. My first 2 conceptions were a success in the first cycle itself , so I was flabbergasted that this time it was such a task.I started taking moringa olifera tablets 4 months back as I did not want to take synthetic supplements.l am 15 dpo right now and no sign of AF but very scared to testConfused

Flashing smiley yesterday, solid smiley today, BD both days and will do tmrw too. Big sigh.

Cleozeta · 08/10/2018 10:17

Welcome evug.

Has anyone else found their ov days irregular since turning 40? Mime can happen any time between cd12 - cd21, it just varies now and I don't know what to expect from one cycle to the next.
I've arranged another FSH test for my next cd3, but not sure I really want to know!!

Rose68 · 08/10/2018 10:42

Hi Cleo, my cycles are still pretty regular, 25/26 day cycles with ovulation always on day 12 or 13. But I have read that it’s not great to have shorter cycles and is a sign of aging.
I don’t think it matters if your cycles are irregular, you are still ovulating which is the important thing.
Good luck with the FSH test, what did you get before? Mine was 6.2.
xxx

Cleozeta · 08/10/2018 11:15

Yeah I have read that about shorter cycles. My LP is shorter but still within range (11 days) but I have never ovulated earlier than day 12 which I hope is a good sign. My ladt FSH was 10 in August last year, then 18.4 in January, then I got pregnant a month after that but mc at 10 weeks. Since then I've been doing accupuncture & herbs and taken a variety of suppliments, so I will be interested to see if it's changed, but I'm terrified it's gone up even more so part of me doesn't want to know!

Rose68 · 08/10/2018 11:52

I am sure everything you have been doing will have bought it down, it might put your mind at rest to get it checked.
I am also having acupuncture, but not herbs... my acupuncturist hasn’t mentioned herbs. I’m a bit confused about my FSH.... I’m not going to argue with it.... but it doesn’t seem right for my age.... and I still can’t get pregnant anyway.

hmm123 · 08/10/2018 13:15

Hi checking in. I've not been on for a while sorry glad to hear of the good news from some of you. .. so I thought I had been incredibly lucky as we dtd once this month and af has gone awol!! Am on cd38 ( normally 25-30 days) but have done 2 preg tests both negative so am now worried it's the menopause! Had something similar last year when Af went missing for a month and finally came on cd47! So confusing as now I also don't know when ( or if) we will get another chance

Cleozeta · 08/10/2018 13:24

Rose your fsh is very good, I wouldn't argue with that either! They do say it can fluctuate, but usually within a general range, and the fact that I got pregnant a month after getting 18.4 suggests it probably doesn't mean much anyway.
My DHEA arrived today. Too scared to take any yet!!

Hmm123 do you know when you ovulated? Opk's? Temping? Maybe you ovulated late this cycle? So disapointing when we get our hopes up! That happened to me last year

Rose68 · 08/10/2018 14:31

I asked my acupuncturist about DHEA - he said to definitely take it unless your testosterone levels are high. He seemed to suggest that if your testosterone levels are high you might be quite hairy. Smile
I intend to start taking it as soon as it arrives! x

Cleozeta · 08/10/2018 14:50

Did he give you an idea of how much you should take?

Rose68 · 08/10/2018 14:58

He didn’t specifically say, but he did say you need to take enough to make a difference. I said I was considering 50mg a day, and he seemed to agree, but didn’t actually say that he agreed (if that makes sense). Do you think you would take 50mg in one go, or 25mg in the morning and 25mg in the evening?
He also said it would take 2-3 months to make a real difference.

Cleozeta · 08/10/2018 16:32

From reading online most people take 75mg spread throughout the day at mealtimes

Chatbash72 · 08/10/2018 16:54

🤦‍♀️🤣🤣🤣 thanks @Orchid222

CritterTamer · 08/10/2018 17:27

Hi all, didn’t realise everyone had moved over already - been wondering why the other thread was so quiet LOL.

@Rose68 - your FSH will be correct - mine was 5.4 when tested a few months ago 😊

Welcome @Evug1234

Embryo transfer day tomorrow - so nervous already! Haven’t heard anything from the clinic which means at least a couple just be still hanging on in there 🤞

Ameliel · 08/10/2018 17:42

Hi all, re-joining the new thread!
I had two very light OPK positives yesterday!! Negative again today... not sure if it meant I o'd yesterday or if my hormones are just all over the place... I've just come back from a trip to USA, gave up temping while there due to time difference and jet lag... so no idea what the temperatures would have shown for the last week. I'll start again tomorrow..
I bought some 25mg DHEA from US, it seems to be standard off the shelf stuff there...I've taken one tablet but skipped it today as I'm bit scared of the side effects! I'm thinking maybe starting with 25mg every other day, or do you think I should go for it properly??
Have been dtd lots with DH recently, fingers crossed the OPK + yesterday was real! I will keep you posted! Good luck for tomorrow Critter!! X

Chatbash72 · 08/10/2018 18:53

@CritterTamer nor did I, @Orchid222 told me... good luck for tomorrow

BooseysMom · 08/10/2018 19:25

Just checking in too ladies.

Welcome LuluJakey1 who asked to join a few pages back on the old thread.
Also welcome Evug1234
Good luck for tomorrow Critter xx
Re cycle length.. scarily mine are shortening and each AF is coming 5 days earlier than usual. A friend who is 49 said she has AF every 2 weeks!
Also I remember reading about pms worsening as you age and mine is most def getting evil!! It's always been bad and I've tried everything but the implant and obv not on anything vaguely hormonal now due to ttc. So I just suffer it every month and dread it coming. A friend advised me to try the coil and i confided that we're ttc no.2 and she said don't try and be happy with our DS. Her opinion is there's no hope in this world for future generations. I used to think like that but then I had DS! And anyway she has 2 kids herself! Shock honestly some people!!

DabofRouge · 08/10/2018 20:21

I think I’m too nervous to try DHEA, although it is tempting. I wonder how much more effective than Ubiquinol it is.
