Critter just popping to say best of luck tomorrow. Whatever happens, traffic jam, bad hair day, whatever, don't get stressed. Stay relaxed and happy. Then when you get home, if you can possibly just lie around for 48 hours eating nice food then do! Have a great transfer day.

Rose68 · 08/10/2018 21:42

Good luck for tomorrow Critter! xxx

Chatbash72 · 08/10/2018 21:45

@BooseysMom how rude of that lady, she can keep her opinions to herself.. sending lots of positive hugs..
welcome all new ladies
@DabofRouge Me too but I'm on 2nd month if ubiquinol x

weasledee · 08/10/2018 21:56

Good luck critter!! We'll be thinking of you! Keep us posted Smile

hmm123 · 08/10/2018 22:49

Yes good luck critter

Can we have an updated list, including those who have had BFPs .. that will cheer us up. I'm happy to do it

hmm123 · 08/10/2018 22:56

Just looked and shiny blackdog normally does it. Shiny are you still on here?

Orchid222 · 08/10/2018 23:14

Critter good luck!!!
As for DHEA I'm happy to give it a try. I've been taking ubiquinol for over a year with no effect so time for something new, going with 50mg once a day, I figured that if they make them so strong there's no reason not to take it just once a day along with my other vits.

MATTSMAMMA · 09/10/2018 05:04

Ladies - on the pregnancy pages on mums net chat there is a lady who has just found out she’s pregnant naturally at 49 Grin she had her last at 42. A little bit of extra hope and positivity for us all Smile xx

shinyblackdog · 09/10/2018 05:28

Yes, I'm still here, I'll update the list once I can get on my laptop - probably at the weekend so happy for hmmm to do it if needed sooner. I think the last one had all the BFPs on it but there are some new ladies - Evug, Lulujakey, Dab, Rose, Pelican, Jenbot - welcome to everyone.

Good luck for later Critter!

CritterTamer · 09/10/2018 06:52

Thanks for your good wishes all - I can’t believe how nervous I am - don’t remember being this nervous last time! I think it’s because I understand better this time just how easily it can all go horribly wrong.

I really hope there are at least two decent quality embies still going strong today 🤞

With the DHEA conversation, just a word of caution - I haven’t tried DHEAsupplementation but did use testosterone gel for a month prior to this egg collection (under consultant supervision) which I think is more or less the same thing just a little stronger. It did cause horrible hair loss which was distressing for me as I have fine thin hair anyway, but after a week on the gel I was losing huge clumps every time I washed it and now have the beginning of a little widows peak! Thankfully it stopped about a week after coming off the gel but it was really unpleasant. It also did horrible things to my skin which still hasn’t cleared up. Whether or not it was worth it I will find out today when I find out what the embryo quality is like 🤞

hmm123 · 09/10/2018 07:58

Thanks shiny. No rush ., I'll leave it to you

I am now stressing that I've left it too late. My mum went through menopause at 43 and said it started with her periods becoming irregular. I've one really long cycle last year( 47 days) and one 17 day one, and now nothing on day 40. Every other month has been ok. I hope it's just a blip and they will kick back in

Rose68 · 09/10/2018 09:14

@BooseysMum - Definitely ignore her, she has no clue what she is talking about. I haven’t told anyone that we are ttc because I am scared of their reactions.
@hmm123 - I am sure you will be fine, but have you had your day 3 and day 21 blood test done? It might help put your mind at rest.
I am now in the two week wait (again).
xxx

Chatbash72 · 09/10/2018 13:20

🤞🤞🤞@CritterTamer @hmm123 we don't automatically follow our mother's paths with af or menopause.. both my sis and I have produced after my mother hit hers.. and she had really heavy ones before she had her last one at 38.. ( 32 years ago) I'm 45 and regular as clockwork with no heavy ones.. but whilst your still ovulating its all still possible.. xx

karryk · 09/10/2018 14:55

Good luck critter!

Awaiting AF here - a few days to go according to Ava Grin

CritterTamer · 09/10/2018 15:31

Hi all, just back from the ET and was so happy that we had 2 perfect quality fully expanded AA hatching embryos ready and waiting to be put back 😊 also have 5 more coming along strongly but a little slower and the embryologist is pretty sure some of those will be ready for freezing by tomorrow morning . They also gave us video of the embryos growing and starting to hatch over the past 5 days from the embryoscope - it’s absolutely amazing!

Evug1234 · 09/10/2018 15:50

Wow critter..... So happy for you.Fx for you..... Lots of baby dust to you

weasledee · 09/10/2018 16:07

Wow critter!!! Sounds good :)
Everything is crossed.....

Orchid222 · 09/10/2018 16:23

Critter- that is such great news! Hoping for you! The process must be fascinating. I love the idea of having embryos on ice in storage too. Hopefully one will take and you'll end up with reserves too! Imagine that!
Mattsmama- that's inspiring. I had my only at nearly 42 and I'd love another soon but I'd be happy to be 49 and expecting!
Booseys- whatever....!!! People have their opinions....try to shut out the annoying noise they make!
Nothing to report from me.

littlemimosa · 09/10/2018 18:25

Hi all,and thanks Orchid for the new thread

Welcome to all newbies!

Critter - such great news:) Eberything is crossed for you.

My cycles have become a bit irregular too in recent years but my LP is always the same, 14-15 days without fail. My variation is in my follicular phase in that ovulation can be anything from day 6-12. It’s annoying as hell (especially when it’s day 6-9) but am grateful I guess to still ovulate. I only have one ovary too so I’m super grateful it’s not got exhausted yet and shut up shop.

Cleozeta · 09/10/2018 18:45

Fingers crossed for you critter, sounds very positive!

Hmm123 I have the same worries as my mum menopaused at 35, but I am still ovulating at 41 so hoping I will for longer yet. I do worry though as my FSH does seem a lot higher than most people my age.

As for the DHEA it won't be as strong as testosterone patches, and it's main purpose would be to improve egg quality and lower mc chances. I'm all for that. Hair loss can be a symptom if you take high doses but I don't think it's common.

Cleozeta · 09/10/2018 18:46

DHEA is recommended to people with low AMH.

CritterTamer · 09/10/2018 20:23

Well I have to come down on the positive side for testosterone/DHEA after today - they said it might increase both the number of follicles and quality of embryos and something certainly did the trick this time! I guess it was a combination of all the changes I made in the last 3 months that made such a difference but I can’t deny that Dr Doom was right to prescribe it 😊 i would say give it a bash now as I feel the side effects were worth it!
