Missed period.

Hi everyone. New hear so please bare with.

So my last period was 22nd August and I have a cycle of 32/33 days. According to my app I should have ovulated on the 10th Sept. I should have come on on Monday 24th but no sign at all. I took a FRER test on Monday and BFN and also on Tuesday with FMU and the same result. I'm having dull cramping and feeling heavy but it isn't continuously just every now and again through the day. Also feeling really tired. Other than that I have no other symptoms and today would make me 16dpo. Has anyone ever got a BFN and gone onto having your BFP at this late stage? I'm clinging onto a little bit of hope until AF arrives but I'm just unsure what's going on 🤷‍♀️

I'm 35, going on 36, so when I reflect about a decade of random periods, potential Pcos, and disappointment.

At some point soon we are going to have to either try harder or give up.

I lost my dad this year, very suddenly (he was died within 4 weeks after a cancer diagnosis) and I'm struggling a lot with my decision to wait to have kids despite meeting my partner in 2007 and marrying in 2014.

There's no right or wrong there.. but it's hard not to wish something different.

Still nothing, now 9 days late from when period was due to start. Did a clear blue, blue dye test Wednesday which was negative. Anyone else had this experience and actually been pregnant? My nipples are really sensitive and sore, can't stand DH touching them, I'm also really short tempered, snappy and constantly tired which is really annoying.

@agteacht I'm so sorry to hear that  it is difficult thinking about the right time to do it, but don't put too much pressure on yourself to try harder - I really do think when TTC we put so much stress on ourselves that it doesn't help x

@Bethy1995 I'd maybe wait another week again and then test and see? X

@cupcakesandglitter yeah I think that's what I'll do. When I found out I was pregnant with ds I'd convinced myself I was infertile then of course when I stopped worrying about it I found out I was pregnant but with that I found out when I was 4 weeks and had symptoms straight away which I would be right now so I'm really confused

@Bethy1995 don't forget that every pg is different though! You may have had a positive at four weeks, but you may not get this one until six weeks... you never know! Fx xx

Thank you for reassuring me. I didn't really think if it like that but your right. I don't want to fill myself with false hope to be disappointed I want something to happen at least then my mind will be at ease.

@Bethy1995 Last weekend, I had done a blue dye test and got a negative on Saturday then used a Clear Blue Digital and got a positive on Sunday. I think unless they are a FRER, the dye tests struggle to pick up early pregnancy xx

Was your blue dye a clear blue one? The one I did was I thought they were supposed to be pretty sensitive but could be wrong??

Congratulations! How lovely. I think I'll wait till Monday and buy a clear blue digital one as I'm going insane with all this at the moment starting to think I'm imagining things...definately not imagining the sore nipples though let me tell you 😂. I did a first response on Monday and it was negative but it was the 45second one not the early one if that makes sense then I read on here and people are saying the 45second ones arnt very sensitive.

I've job st been at football and got that feeling when af arrives. Got home and it wasn't it was white cm. any ideas what that could mean??? Xx

@Bethy1995 It wasn't a CB, just a cheapo one. I hope you get the result you want 💜

@iris81 - Last week, I got AF feeling and I told DP the day he told me to go get a test that I didn't need to as I had period pains and I was gonna come on! Few hours later, we had our BFP xx

@iris81 not to get your hopes up but I had that too for a few days before 'AF' came x

Update...I really felt like af was coming in fact i was almost certain thinking thank god for that i have my answer. My stomach felt really uncomfortable and felt moisture (sorry tmi) THEN I wiped and it was just CM. I'm driving myself crazy now but definately not imagining it. Reluctant to buy another test because I've already wasted £20 on them. Anyone else had this and been pregnant?

@Bethy1995 On the morning DP made me do another test, I was reluctant to as I was certain I had AF cramps and I still keep getting them now whilst I know I am pregnant. I'm guessing it's a symptom of pregnancy, too!

So shall I wait or just do a clear blue digital tomorrow? I'm nervous in case it's not the result I want but now I'm 11 days late. Is it best to wait till 2 wks late or just do it now? Boobs still hurting and nipples really sensitive I can't stand anything brushing past them, boobs feel fuller, mood swings out of this world and now I'm getting CM too.

It's funny you said that, on the day I tested, I was in agony with one boob if my top so much as brushed on it!

If you can't wait, then try with FMU tomorrow, but if you can hold off another couple of days, wait until you reach a fortnight. I tested 15 days after my missed period which is when I got a positive on my CB digital, and just the day before, I got a negative on a pink dye test xx

@TokenGinger really? It was exactly like this with my first pregnancy too that was in of the first signs I had (actually what made me buy a test).

I think the safest bet would be to wait like you say until Wednesday or Thursday and if nothing happens before then buy a clear blue digital. They must be a lot more sensitive than the others.

@Bethy1995 that's exactly what it felt like for me yesterday too and ended up being cm. I did a test in the afternoon still bfn!

It's so frustrating and confusing isn't it, I just either want to come on my period of get bfp so I know either way it's driving me insane wondering and waiting.

It really is @Bethy1995 I just want to know either way too! I am so frustrated. I'm on day 41 now I think. Had a bleed this tues morning but apart from that nothing! Thought I knew when I ov'd but maybe not? (I'm not tracking) I did feel nauseous for a while but that's gone away too

@iris81 how annoying was it just a 1 day bleed?

Sounds like we are in a very similar position I'm going out of my mind. Keep checking as had cramps earlier guess what...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING apart from CM still. Fingers crossed for you keep me updated 😊

Hi, first time on here...
my dates are the same as the original posters and my period still hasn’t arrived, haven’t been actively trying however haven’t exactly been the safest either.
Been having a lot of watery, clear, discharge (sorry if tmi), I’ve had the most vivid weird dreams the past 2 nights, the one this morning I had gone on holiday to Miami with a couple of friends, however had forgotten my passport and spoke to the woman at the desk who proceeded to allow me to board under the term “denial of pregnancy” which was incredibly weird, arrived in 10 minutes, pleasantly surprised by that too, remembered I had forgotten to check where we were staying and it turned out to be a god awful hotel on a room only basis... it was just incredibly vivid and strange.
Feeling a bit more run down today too, found it much harder to wake up this morning, brushed my teeth and found it was making me want to vomit!!
I’ve tested and it’s come back negative 2 days ago, and I’m unsure of where to go from here. My period isn’t late anymore it seems to have been missed? I’m due back on 2 weeks today.

Any advice or anyone been through similar and can put my mind at ease? It’s not a worry either outcome id just rather know what’s going on...

@Bethy1995 I see a very faint line but it looks like it could be an evap possibly, take another one in a couple of days!! Fx xx

@Chikichiki2018 if AF doesn't arrive by the time your next period should be starting, I'd see your GP xx
