Mid August 2ww - anyone else out there?

Hi all! I'm in my first ever 2ww and was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? Think I'm approx 1 dpo judging by previous cycle patterns, Ov pain and CM as I don't use OPKs or do BBT (too lazy!). Loosely followed SMEP this month, fx this is the month!

Age: 27
TTC: #2 (DS1 was a happy surprise)
Cycle No: 1
Cycle Length: 26-28 days
AF/BFP due: 29th August but I'll be testing on the 28th which will be CD 28

Looking forward to waiting with you all! And trying not to POAS at 5dpo !

Not exactly sure if I'm in the 2 week wait. Today is cd 16 and I normally ovulate on cd15 (confirmed with BBT rise) but no significant rise this morning and odd spotting yesterday? Hopefully it was random ovulation spotting and my temp is just slow to rise this month!

Af/bfp due on the 28th but I'm guessing ff may put it back a day or 2 because of possible late ovulation! Fingers crossed for this month but I'm worrying now our timing might be off and dh is currently away!

Hi.....first time ive posted here.

I have 3 children and knew i was pregnant by morning sickness before i missed period. Ive been on the mini pill for a couple of years but missed taking it by some hours last month. Where i thought it would be ok it turns out i wouldnt have been protected. I feel i little sick and have extreme sense of smell and my period is late by 4 days. Ive been testing every morning but its negative. This is first pregnancy or possible one that has not shown possitive on missed period. Why is it negative if im pregnant and where is my period?!

I'm the same as you @rollerskaterdata I've not really been tracking bbt or opk's but I've been using a couple of apps that say I should ovulate either today or the next couple of days (although it keeps changing lol) I'm cycle day 14 which makes sense so I guess I'll be joining the 2ww! We dtd 2 days ago and will again tonight so hopefully this month is my month! Good luck to everyone and hopefully we will get to see some BFP's this month 😁❤️

@Hippo212 you may have ovulated late this month? My periods are usually like clockwork but in the last 6 months I've come on 6 days late and last month 5 days early! I would give it a few more days and if it still hasn't come and you're still getting a BFN on your first pee of the day maybe speak to your doc? Xx

@sunshine1987 fx for Ov for you soon, the waiting really is the worst part! I'm only 1 dpo and already have itchy fingers wanting to POAS!

@Daisymalone the spotting may well have been Ov? I get it some months but not others, and this month I had no spotting and no significant EWCM like I normally get so the only thing I had to go by was cramping the last few days and quite painful Ov pain yesterday! I normally Ov on CD 13 or 14 so I'm just going with me being 1 dpo today! Hopefully you can squeeze in DTD again soon? Did you manage to do it over your fw this month? When will you test? We may be testing day buddies!

@Hippo212 welcome! I only got a strong BFP with my son 5 days after AF was due last time. Can you test again in a day or two with a FRER? I hope you get the outcome you want soon, fx for you

@thejollytrolleydolly fx for you this month and for BD tonight! I've found BDing exhausting this month, we don't have much sex to begin with, normally once or twice a week max. We've BD the last 4 days in a row and both of us are knackered! Fx you ovulate today and catch that egg!

Hi @rollerskaterdata, hopefully that's what it is, just odd as I've never experienced it before? Dr Google tells me that it's a sign of a strong ovulation and can be linked with releasing multiple eggs so maybe it's my month for twins! I did have a large temp dip on supposed ovulation day so maybe my progesterone hasn't shot up quite enough to raise my temp to its usual post ov high but will by tomorrow? (clutching at straws). Managed to dtd in the fertile days, just missed actual ovulation day but if it turns out that I've ov'd late then last time was 2 days before so still in with a chance, but not as good! Dh is back late tonight and after a long day of travelling I'm not sure he will appreciate mandatory sex, but we will see! It's DH's birthday on the 27th so I'm tempted to test then but I might jut leave it to see if I am actually late or not with this cycle being a bit odd?

@rollerskaterdata well I've been having some dull aches in my womb area which I'm hoping is ovulation pains as it does feel like a light cramping. I would have never paid it any mind usually but as my flo app says ovulation day is today it could be connected! I'm going to grab dp as soon as he gets home and bd for good measure! It's funny because he's usually got a really high sex drive and I'm the one turning him down but over the last couple of weeks I feel like the tables have turned 😂😂

How long PO would you say wait to test? 10? Or wait for FP? Xx

Ps is it a thing to get really hot during ov? I feel like an actual fireball today!

@thejollytrolleydolly fingers crossed for all of us! I probably would leave testing until at least 12dpo personally. I tested at 10dpo with a frer on the month I actually got pregnant (sadly ended in mc) and it was very starkly negative. Tested again at 14dpo when af didn't arrive and was an obvious positive so was clearly just too early! Also I'm a little pessimistic so I'd be worried that if I saw a line at 10dpo it might not stick and wouldn't truly believe it until I was late anyway. That's just me though, the decision is a personal one I guess!

@Daisymalone I'll leave it until FP is due then! I'm a bugger for POASing so I'll have to try and resist! Thank you for the advice and sorry to hear about your mc ❤️ I hope this is the month it sticks xx

@Daisymalone sorry to hear about your mc, fx for a sticky one next time you get a BFP! I'm afraid I don't know much about temping but I'm hoping you've caught the egg already by DTD 2 days ago! I think I read somewhere that sperm can survive up to 5 days in optimum conditions so hopefully you have a few swimmers already just waiting for the egg release!

@thejollytrolleydolly my Flo app is quite accurate too give or take a day based on CM / Ov pains, so I'm trusting what is says! I'm actually the one with the higher sex drive but even for me the 4 days in a row we've just done was exhausting!

Deffo fx for all of us that this is our month. I just wondering when to test too - opinions please ladies! I think I've got my mind set on Tues 28th August as that is in between both of my last 2 cycle lengths. My last cycle was 26 days (Ov'd on CD13). Cycle before that was 28 days (Ov'd on CD14). So I don't know whether my cycle this month will be 26 days or 28 days. If it is 26 days FP would be due on Mon 27th Aug, so on Tues 28th I'd be 1 day late. If it is 28 days FP would be due on Wed 29th Aug. So by averaging the two out I thought I would do it on Tues 28th 😂 or should I wait until Wed 29th or even later to accommodate my longest cycle?! Cycles before that I was on the copper coil and they were all over the place so not counting those x

Maybe we should all pick the 28th as it seems a good test day for all of us? 😁

I'm happy with the 28th! One of my besties is visiting that day so he can watch the line with me!! 😁😁

Hi @thejollytrolleydolly 👋 I've done OPK's this month and trying to keep an eye on CM, I have been having longer cycles recently ( 37/39/54 🙄) so was expecting it to be later just not this late

@ttcat32 yeah that's a super long cycle! I usually ovulate around cd 14/15. Hopefully it comes soon then you can start counting down too!

Good news ladies, temp rose today indicating that I probably did ovulate yesterday, so just one day late. Managed to dtd last night too when DH got back so should be covered 😉 I'm calling today 1dpo..

Yaye! That's great news ladies. Roll on the 28th! I'm already crazy lady symptom spotting! Tender nipples, few cramps and heightened sense of smell today at 2dpo. It's obviously too early but I can't help myself 😂😂

We're on the same CD right? I'm due on the 31st I think this month x

@thejollytrolleydolly my DH is trying to get me to POAS now, I can't quite explain how it doesn't work like that 😂😂😂 I'm just not buying any until it's time to test, I'll drive myself crazy otherwise! X
