Mid August 2ww - anyone else out there?

Hi all! I'm in my first ever 2ww and was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? Think I'm approx 1 dpo judging by previous cycle patterns, Ov pain and CM as I don't use OPKs or do BBT (too lazy!). Loosely followed SMEP this month, fx this is the month!

Age: 27
TTC: #2 (DS1 was a happy surprise)
Cycle No: 1
Cycle Length: 26-28 days
AF/BFP due: 29th August but I'll be testing on the 28th which will be CD 28

Looking forward to waiting with you all! And trying not to POAS at 5dpo !

I need you to talk me down from testing early ladies. I'm about 5dpo and am so impatient I really don't think I can wait until the 28th, it feels so far away! I'd be 14dpo then and I'm really tempted to start testing around 9/10 dpo, I can't bear the thought of waiting even a few more days after that arrgghhh!

@BoBo90 I don't blame you, I'm feeling really impatient today. I stupidly thought I'd easily wait the whole 2 weeks as if I had a CP I wouldn't want to know, and would still anxiously await AF due date to come and go if I got a BFP before it was due but honestly I totally get it now...I want to know now now now! I've still got a twitchy uterus and sore nipples too so I'm dying to know why!

Thanks for the welcome @rollerskaterdata, I was looking into the clear blue stuff and noticed on their website they were running trials, someone contacted me and asked me lots of questions about cycles etc and then u can be chosen at random to be in a sample, they send u lots of opk and pregnancy tests for 2 cycles and u have to use their app which record the data - £100 at the end too and of course the use of the kits, meant to send the leftovers back at the end! Nothing lost in trying eh and all to gain! Would recommend it if u ever see on their website only problem is now it's almost come to an end in gonna an so tempted to buy their ovulation kits and they are just sooo expensive:(

Totally better to try not to obsess over testing u just end up going through so many test until period comes and then I end up feeling so dissappinted! Doesn't stop me from giving in mind :D

@Welshpugmomma that sounds really good, I'll deffo keep an eye out on their website! Do you find it's really helped you track and understand your cycle better?

I know what you mean about not obsessively testing, I was the voice of reason from when we decided to start trying months ago (but we were waiting for various reasons until now, this is month 1 of TTC for us) until literally just now - I'm trying to talk myself out of testing next Friday at 10dpo!

I was using the app ovia to track my periods before and thought great it tells me when I'm ovulating but turned out I was ovulating later than the app was saying so I was probably missing the timeframe! I never get cramps or anything when ovulating so I'm just not sure otherwise... trying hard not to get uptight about it all!

Hello ladies, can I join the 2ww? TTC #1, 36-day cycle, CD23, and got positive OPKs on Fri & Sat. I tested again this morning, it was dark but not as darker as what I had yesterday (when I thought my app tracker says today was my O-day). My hubby and I plan a summer baby(ies) (who knows, we may have twins?!😊), so really hoping August will be our month to conceive. DTD most days this month and my ov day is today so might DTD again tonight

I can totally relate with being so mindful of all the little twinges and changes our bodies feel during the 2ww I had headaches for the last 2 days (I don't normally have them), always tired and been napping in the afternoon this weekend. Hmmm... it may just be the bed weather.

I will be looking out for all our BFPs here, but I will wait a little bit later as my AF/BFP is not due until 2nd Sept. X

@rollerskaterdata im going to be a bad influence here and say you should totally test at 10dpo! I got my last bfp at 10dpo and it was a lovely clear line 😬

I'm getting some sharp aching (if that makes any sense 😆) in the left side of my womble, bit similar to ov pain but I'm sure it's not due to that! I'm really hoping this in implantation related!!! Going to use another cheapie tomorrow and then break out the frer at 10dpo on Tuesday!

Thank you, @BoBo90. Just curios when testing at 10dpo, is this before AF/BFP is due? Will tests be accurate at 10dpo? I'm so new with the terms and learning about all things happening at 2ww... 😅🙈

Yeh 10dpo is before af is due (for me af arrives at 12/13 dpo). Implantation can take place any time from 6dpo but on average is more likely to be around 8dpo. As soon as the egg implants your body starts producing hcg so a day or two later you can use a sensitive test like an frer and it should pick up the pregnancy 😊 Of course it might be negative because you haven't implanted yet and you could go on to get a bfp in a few days. Thats why they say to wait until af is due so you don't get a false negative but there's always a chance you'll get the bfp sooner!

@Bobo90 or anyone else that can shed some light, I know they say u can test at 10 dpo and get a + but I have quite a longish gap between ovulation and af so I'm 10 dpo tomorrow but af isn't due until 27th... am I right in thinking I should leave it later ?

Wow @Welshpugmomma you have a really long lp! I'd be going crazy every cycle thinking I was pg so well done you for staying sane! Even with the long lp you are just the same with implantation being between 6-12 dpo so you could start testing from tomorrow if you wanted. The upside to having a long lp is that you have plenty of time for the egg to implant before your body flushes everything out! Like for me if I had a slow little egg that was going to implant at 12dpo I might already have started af. The poor little eggy wouldn't even stand a chance 😩

Evening all. I think I’m 10 dpo so can start testing with some expectation (and not just ridiculously weeing on tests - 20 for a fiver from Amazon was just asking for trouble. Have some cramps very low on the left, at wondering if af but last on 2 weeks ago (have super short cycles) so even by my standards ridiculous if it was.
Hope everyone’s doing ok and not peeing on too many sticks

Welshpugmomma ahh ok, I trust my app (Flo) but then again I've never used OPKs...I quite clearly feel Ov every month which matches app predicted Ov day give or take a day or two, so I tend to just go by that and CM!

@BoBo90 bad influence indeed! 😉 lol I have such itchy fingers I would be testing now at 5dpo if there was any chance of seeing a positive (which there obviously isn't!). A bunch of us have decided to test on the 28th though so I feel like I should hold on for you ladies! I will try my hardest not to crack...

@Bobo - ooh quite possibly! Hi! I did do an frer this morning aaand....a very faint squinter which I do not trust! Going to leave it now and see if AF arrives. It not, I'll get a CB digital - can't argue with the words 'Not Pregnant' or 'Pregnant'!!

Due to ovulate today (CD17) but this morning negative opk although had EWCM for a few days. Will test again later today.
Cycle length 31/32 days

Officially 1dpo today The waiting begins before the BFP day! I might find something to keep my mind out of the 2ww symptoms for the next 2 weeks (a new hobby perhaps?)

6dpo today! Does anyone else start to get excited at 6dpo when there is an actual chance there could be something going on in there, rather than the early 2ww craziness?

@Daisymalone absolutely!! I'm in 2 minds about wether it's going to happen this month so I'm taking it as it comes! Apps said I ovd on one day, my cm said I ovd 2 days later. If I ovd on ththe later date it would have been 3/4 days after last bd so might be pushing it!

Would potentially be implanting anytime between wed and Friday so I'm going to be symptom spotting like mad! Crazy that I might know by next week though!

Can I join!! Think I might be a tad behind, my ovulation day is Sunday according to my app. Will start doing the ovulation tests soon!

@thejollytrolleydolly I'm normally quite sane during the 2ww (lots of practice 😢) but today I've been having some low level cramps and the odd fanny dagger and it's making me want to ignore the level headed side of me and go 'oooh, maybe it's implantation!' Must remember that I have had this other times and clearly wasn't pregnant! Fingers crossed though.

Must be frustrating if your ovulation dates/signs aren't matching up- are you just going to test based on the earliest possible date or leave it until later?

@Daisymalone well I've got loads of tests at home so it doesn't matter if I use some too early. I think I've got about 7 ics 1 frer and 1 cb so I'll just use the ics until my FP is due. I'm so used to seeing bfn's that seeing another one would just be standard procedure! I think I would be way more shocked if I got a positive!!

If you're 6dpo it deffo could be implantation as it's wayyyyy to early for any flo pains! 🤞🏼 for you hun!! Xx
