@boboelephant and @yukka sorry for the bfns this morning 🐧🐧

Af due approx today but not testing until the weekend after last months late show. Had some spotting Sunday so think she will show in next couple of days.

zarala · 14/08/2018 08:51

Sorry for BFNs @Yukka @Boboelephant
Really sucks.... sending hugs

MynameisJune · 14/08/2018 09:01

Sorry for the bfn’s @yukka and @boboelephant huge hugs to you both, seeing that white strip really is horrible.

Newbie21 · 14/08/2018 09:03

@Boboelephant and @Yukka so sorry ladies for the BFN. Hugs to you both xx

strawberrye · 14/08/2018 09:11

@Yukka so sorry for the BFN Sad

I'm hoping some of these BFNs turn into BFPs in time for our new thread!

Laney79 · 14/08/2018 09:27

@strawberrye that would be lovely wouldn't it. Feels like we are due some good news X

Eastend2015 · 14/08/2018 11:16

I’m so sorry for all those with BFNs. I got my positive this morning- too scared to say BFP. This’ll be pregnancy no 6 and only DS to show for it, after some spotting on Sunday I am not at all hopeful. No symptoms but I know it’s early- nothing means anything really anyway.

strawberrye · 14/08/2018 11:22

@Eastend2015 tentative congratulations, I know especially with multiple losses a positive result can cause lots of anxiety and despair about what seems "inevitable", but remember a positive test is the first step in a successful pregnancy. Have you been investigated for recurrent miscarriage or put on any meds for when you get your positive? Each pregnancy is different, try to keep positive xx

Lilimum4 · 14/08/2018 11:27

@Eastend2015 Fx for you xx

I'm using cb digit opks for the first time this cycle and I got a flashy face this morning. How long does it take to get the static after this? I thought it would be less stressful for me to use the digit test but now I'm not sure lol
@Boboelephant I think you might be right Fx. Sorry for the bfn xx

Eastend2015 · 14/08/2018 11:30

Thanks @strawberrye yes all came back from RMC and they suggested baby aspirin but the evidence is mixed as to whether it helps where you don’t have blood clotting issues (which I don’t). I have epilepsy and some other underlying conditions which might be causing our issues but no one really knows. They will do genetic testing on any “pregnancy material” if this one doesn’t work out Confused

Eastend2015 · 14/08/2018 11:31

Sorry meant all clear from RMC

strawberrye · 14/08/2018 11:34

@Lilimum4 it really varies, I have had cycles with only 2 flashy smileys before solid smiley, and cycles with 7-8 flashy smileys!

glitterbug17 · 14/08/2018 12:46

Thanks for the welcome! Haven't read the whole thread yet but I will catch up. Sorry about all the BFNs. My period was due 5 days ago, took a test yesterday and got a BFN. Then googled Acutest midstream tests and they get lots of bad reviews. My cycle is 28 days like clockwork so time will tell. Not feeling hopeful xx

Blondcat · 14/08/2018 12:52

@eastend2015 tentative congratulations x

Russkispy · 14/08/2018 14:16

@Eastend2015 tentative congratulations! And fingers and toes crossed for you!
@Lilimum4 , I only use digital ones, and have 2-3 days prior static smiley face. But everyone is different. At one stage took 7 days of flashey smile which drove me mad!

TedLife · 14/08/2018 14:40

@Lilimum i've only been using CB OPKs for 3 cycles and before they were always flashy for 2-3 days then static but this cycle I had 7 flashy days before a static on the 8th. No idea why it was so long this time but I think basically it can vary loads.

Mistymeow · 14/08/2018 14:40

@Yukka it's possible to have an anovulatory cycle post miscarriage, I think I might have. I'm cycle 4 post mmc and my last two cycles were normal but this cycle I ovulated 7 days later than usual (confirmed by temps) so my af will probably be 7 days late. It could quite well be the same for you. Sorry for bfn but you never know x

@Lilimum4 My ovulation days have varied post miscarriage. Keep going with testing, I'm sure all is well. Our bodies seem to go a bit haywire after miscarriage and no one really warns you.

@Boboelephant sorry to hear about the bfn. It sounds like you really looked after yourself this month by not testing too early, as I know you got your hopes up last month. How are you doing? I hope you're still in with a shot!

Lilimum4 · 14/08/2018 14:43

Thanks ladies I will just have to keep poas and jks and hope for the best

Boboelephant · 14/08/2018 17:21

Thanks ladies!! 🐧🐧🐧
@strawberrye ooh me too! Especially as the next thread will be my 11th one! 🧀
@Mistymeow thanks mate. Yeah held off the testing but unfortunately my hopes were still way up! Trying to be both hopeful and practical... it's proving difficult!

Yukka · 14/08/2018 17:36

Thanks @mistymeow I think I'll start opks again from Friday if no af by then and assume anovulation cycle.

Felt like crying all day today. Could be frustration, could be hormones, could be that I work with fecking idiots. Who knows, each are equally plausible!

Group hug xx

TedLife · 14/08/2018 17:39

Anyone else just entered the TWW? I need a buddy!

strawberrye · 14/08/2018 18:04

@Boboelephant I know, it'll be my tenth thread! Lucky double figures maybe? Trying to stay positive to stave off the old cheese vibes

@Yukka sorry you've been emotional today, let it all out, eat some chocolate and get into the middle of the huddle

@TedLife I'll be with you soon I think! Got my peak reading on clearblue advanced OPKs yesterday, EWCM and some ovulation pains today so I think I might be in the TWW soon. Will take a couple of days for FF to confirm the TWW if my temps rise.

@glitterbug17 welcome and sorry for your loss. Maybe give it a few days and test with a FRER?

@Eastend2015 are you going ahead with the baby aspirin then?

I think it might be O day today! So lots of JKS for me. I had some bloods done today for my thyroid (have recently been put on levothyroxine, I was in that in between of not hypothyroid but not optimum TSH for conception/pregnancy, and combined with positive antibodes my GP took pity on me to see if a low dose of levothyroxine helps) and also some of the clotting tests for RMC. I've "only" had 2 losses but when my GP got advice from endocrinology about the thyroid they suggested doing the screen for clotting problems associated with RMC too. Will be getting the results in about a week.

hayleyfx · 14/08/2018 18:21

@Boboelephant @Yukka sorry for the bfn’s 😔 still remaining very hopeful for you both & anyone else in the TWW 🤞

@Eastend2015 tentative congrats! I hope everything works out this time hun 🤞

I’m feeling a bit more normal now, 8 days since we said goodbye to Charlie. Thanks everyone for reassuring me that wanting to TTC again doesn’t make me a bad person, just helps to focus on something I guess. My boobs have gone down (from being 10x their normal size 🤣) and milk is slowly drying up, morning sickness, tiredness etc is all gone now so feeling more human! Still bleeding lightly, have some strong cramps at times - is that normal? Otherwise feeling okay and away to Glasgow for a couple days next week to go to a comedy show and relax with my OH, will be nice to have a break!
