🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧

A thread for all those who have suffered the loss of a much wanted baby. Affectionately know as the penguin huddle.

We'll start with a roll call as there have been so many new members lately and so many success stories that I think we've all lost track.

MC at 11wks in January
Cycle 3 post MC, trying since August 2017

@strawberrye 1 day behind you at 7dpo! Not testing til Sunday at the earliest!

HidCat I'm glad it felt like fond memories. Flowers

I'll leave someone else to create a new thread as I have no idea how to do emojis on this board and it would be sad not to have the huddle of penguins on the new one.

dreaminofholidays · 29/06/2018 07:55

@strawberrye @hidcat similar timing as you both, dpo9 here. Are you both thinking Sunday to POAS?

Sounds like that could have been a very tough morning @hidcat, glad you are doing well.
xx

HidCat · 29/06/2018 08:04

@dreaminofholidays as I'll be 9dpo I'll probably use my last ic to test on Sunday then break open the FRER later on. Doubt I'd get a positive even on a FRER at 9dpo lol

@Boboelephant thats really interesting to know, thanks. I think i may have ovulated later. I had day or so of ewcm and that was right around the new ovulation window that my app gave. And yes from what I understood it was your follicular phase that changed.
Im considering temping, i feel i dont know my cycle at all now, especially as before ttc i had no cycles due to contraception.
Good luck for fw! Iv got a while to go🙄
It does feel like longer that iv been on here, and yeah funny how we were cycle twins and now miles apart!

Funkyemzie · 29/06/2018 08:40

Oh fingers crossed for you @Hidcat.

I'm finding myself in a super short cycle this month as ovulated on cd8 so 2 days after af finished, not even bothered testing as at 11dpo I'm already having af symptoms again. 😞

If I only had 3 days between af finishing and ovulation would that have been long enough to build up the endometrial lining? Is there anything I can do to extend that part just so the lining can build up better?

See what happens next cycle.

ek78 · 29/06/2018 09:35

Thanks for the JKS encouragement, ladies. We managed to get busy the day of static smiley and the day after. Anyone else coming into the 2ww about now? I'm 2dpo. AF due 11 July according to my app. Time to hit the pineapple...

weasledee · 29/06/2018 11:05

Hi ek, I'm 3 DPO. You've just reminded me about the pineapple! Off to buy a pineapple now!!! 🍍 Smile

HidCat · 29/06/2018 11:38

Yet another reminder of miscarriage today! Bumped into a lady I saw at EPU as we miscarried at the same time (her kids are at the same school as my son) and she told me she's now 18weeks pregnant! So pleased for her!

Hey
Anybody able to compare Clearblue ovulation kit vs cheapy opk sticks?

Boboelephant · 29/06/2018 14:40

@rdm10 hello! Nice to hear from you. Sorry you've got so much anxiety and hope it subsided soon. How are you feeling apart from that?
@HidCat ooh that does sound promising! Fingers crossed. I'm glad you can be so optimistic, I'm not sure I'd be handling all that as well as you are. I should be 39 weeks and seeing really pregnant women still feels very hard. Well done you. I'm ok thanks. Just waiting for ovulation. Trying SMEP this month and so today should be an off day as no positive opk yet. But lots of EWCM so seems odd not to JKS. May do it anyway!
@Laney79 for me I find charting makes me less crazy. I've certainly used less pregnancy tests! It takes the guesswork out of ovulation and I defo rely on temping as the most reliable indicator. Because I do it every day fertile or not I don't think DH really even notices anymore.
@YellowDaffodils86 as mentioned above I think temping is the way to go. I know it can seem like another thing but it really does help to take the wondering out. If I wasn't temping I would have assumed that I had ovulated that month and would have been a good 5 days out. I like to have as much info as I can! Not sure what you are asking about opks sorry?
@Funkyemzie I really don't know sorry. I hope you can find an answer though.

So many of you in the tww!! How exciting! I'm impatiently waiting for ovulation here- I think it probably should be Monday.

Anyday88 · 29/06/2018 15:07

I am currently trying to stop myself from ordering a frer. I had a positive at 10dpo with my mc which would be roughly Monday I think 🙈

I know realistically I should wait as long as I can but it is so hard!!

My boobs feel really sore today and with each day I am becoming more hopeful when I was trying to be realistic at the start of the tww. Currently roughly 7dpo so it's anybody's guess right now 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Boboelephant I would jks if you feel like it 😊

🤞🏻for everyone in the tww and lots of jks for those of you coming to the fw!

YellowDaffodils86 · 29/06/2018 16:45

@Boboelephant do you really feel temping is worth doing then? I think i said earlier i have considered it lately.
The question earlier was about whether the clear blue ovulation kits with the static smiley etc were any better than the cheaper ovulation sticks, that i think alot of us use including me and you?

dreaminofholidays · 29/06/2018 17:34

@anyday88 I am in the same boat even down to the sore boobs which are making it harder for me to be the realistic person I meant to be at this stage

ek78 · 29/06/2018 18:31

Get on it @weaseldee and good luck! 🍍

DaisyMay25 · 29/06/2018 18:57

@YellowDaffodils86 I used the ics for several months but have now been using the advanced digital clear blue ones for a couple of months now. For me they work perfectly, in fact when I get a static smiley on them I tested with an ic a couple of hours later and got the strongest positive I'd ever gotten. I don't think I'll go back to ics now.

DaisyMay25 · 29/06/2018 19:00

@YellowDaffodils86 heres what that ic looked like (I've struggled to even get the lines the same darkness before)
Plus I only do it once with fmu, none of this testing multiple times a day with limit drinking and holding my wee in, much less hassle!

TTC After Pregnancy Loss Thread 22.
KnitKitty · 29/06/2018 20:58

I'm due on tomorrow. Have started feeling distinctly "periody" this evening... Not quite cramps, but you know something's up. And I have been ripening some stunning AF facial spots over the last couple of days. The one on my forehead wins first prize I think!!

The great news is that I've realised I'm a lot more regular than I expected to be. I've been on the pill since teenage with a brief stint off it in my very early 20s and my experience was having cycles which ranged from 28-36 days (and the occasional 40 dayer). I was going over my dates since first TTC in December this week. My First cycle was 30 days (and I believe I ovulated CD19), I got pregnant the next cycle, and then went through MMC. I've had two full cycles now since MC (not counting the cycle directly after ERPC which was much longer due to HCG falling at snail-pace), and I've ovulated on CD17 both months and had a 29 day cycle each time (assuming I do come on tomorrow, which feels likely).

This has given me hope for next cycle when I get back to properly trying because I will have a more clear idea of when I should be DTD. So I'm a happy bunny. Also happy because I've not been ratty with PMS this month.

Hang in there those of you in TTW and a bit too early to test. Keep busy. Good luck!!!

Sickenedbyguilt · 30/06/2018 03:04

Hi,
TTC # 4
28
First MC at 6+3 (going through it now)
Not started trying again yet obviously just wanted to mark my place for when AF starts and I can start tracking my cycle again. I had failed morning after pill on 30/05/2018 and the Depo injection so that will have to come out of my system. Hopefully won't take too long to conceive Smile

HidCat · 30/06/2018 06:53

@Sickenedbyguilt welcome, I'm so sorry you find yourself here. I hope you're doing ok, feel free to talk openly on here. We all know what you're going through and will help you through. 🐧🐧🐧

@Sickenedbyguilt welcome and so sorry, the ladies here are great for support 😊

Anyday88 · 30/06/2018 07:12

@HidCat how are you feeling? I can feel myself getting more and more tempted to test now.

HidCat · 30/06/2018 07:18

@Anyday88 I'm ok, eager to test tomorrow though even though I know it's really early.

@sickenedbyguilt sorry you find yourself here.

dreaminofholidays · 30/06/2018 07:43

@anyday88 @hidcat I caved and tested this morning pretty certain it was a BFN, had a bit of line eyes of something ridiculously feint. Only had a clear blue. Will get a FRER & try again unless AF shows up in the meantime x
