A thread for all those who have suffered the loss of a much wanted baby. Affectionately know as the penguin huddle.

We'll start with a roll call as there have been so many new members lately and so many success stories that I think we've all lost track.

If any of you wanna post your charts you know I'll take a look. I miss charting so much!! Haha

strawberrye · 28/06/2018 10:16

@Cakelaur fancy looking at my charts? This month FF can't decide when ovulation was. If I have it one the advanced setting, it reckons I am 4DPO because my initial few temps were quite low. But if I have it on the OPK, FAM or research settings it reckons I'm 7DPO! I think I ovulated 7 days ago because that matches up with my OPKs and my CM pattern, but my initial post O temps were quite low?

Also I remember you saying you thought you had low progesterone from your charting, what were the signs you picked up on?

PS discarded some of my pre-O temps because they were taken at odd times after nights etc or only after a couple of hours sleep because I was working a twilight shift

Lilimum4 · 28/06/2018 10:41

@CobaltRoseFlowers congratulations lovely that's fabulous news. Sticky bead wishes coming your way

Boboelephant · 28/06/2018 10:49

@Cakelaur any tips for keeping it in if you put in in standing up? I was using it in bed as I found that it just dripped out even lying down! Does it not do that if you use less?? Hence the passion killer when I was trying to sneakily insert under duvet! 😂🤦‍♀️
@strawberrye ooh I think your chart looks awesome! I think you're 7dpo. My temps took a a few days to rise last month too. What day was your positive opk?

Lilimum4 · 28/06/2018 10:50

@Cakelaur probably too early to even make out but hayho

TTC After Pregnancy Loss Thread 22.
Cakelaur · 28/06/2018 15:13

@strawberrye I'd say you're 7dpo. Judging by cm, opks and temp shift, you've just had a second temp shift. 💕 are perfectly timed. I'd sleep easy. 7dpo! There's nothing to really suggest you ovulated later. It's mainly because a few of your pre ov temps are a little erratic.

I suspected low progesterone because my temps were really erratic after ov. I'd have one day up one day down one day up etc. You can see my chart without taking progesterone is all jumpy. Then my bfp chart where I took progesterone. I started it 3dpo once ff confirmed ov. And you can see my temps rise nicely until i stopped taking it to allow af to come, at 12dpo. Af never showed. Had a bit of spotting then bfp!!

@Boboelephant I just squeeze a bit in (in the bathroom) usually elegantly like a spider on the floor!! Haha!! Then just nip into bed. Then pounce! So it's only in for a couple minutes. We scrapped all foreplay during FW. Although some days OH needed a little help which he didn't complain about!! (Sorry tmi) and once we're done I sit with legs up the wall for about 15 mins. Sometimes I had to pee so I wait 15mins then let it all go. All the good sperm would be up where it needs to be by then. But defo put less in. Or you can just rub a little on DH.

@Lilimum4 Looks perfect. I wouldn't even worry about that temp drop. It's not below coverline. Looks great! 3dpo and everything lines up nicely 👍🏻

@Cakelaur thanks for looking for me. The progesterone you took was it the cream. I have wellspring's serenity progesterone cream. How much and where did you put it. I've used it twice a day on my hip am I doing it right.

Cakelaur · 28/06/2018 16:37

@Lilimum4 yup. That's the one. So I rub it twice a day. But pick different spots. So hips, bum, thigh, upper arm, tummy. And each application I rotate it. Only because apparently it help with absorption. But sounds like you have it covered!

Anyday88 · 28/06/2018 17:15

I've just been reading up on cm as you do when ttc 🤷🏼‍♀️

Now I'm convincing myself I have all the signs of pregnancy and I'm only around 6dpo

Where is everyone else in their cycle?

I haven't been able to keep up as had family staying and work is crazy at the moment.

GPS76 · 28/06/2018 17:29

@Boboelephant I also plan to do SMEP this month along with digital OPK but the only thing I'm confused on is do you have the three day ' marathon ' session when you get the static smiley face? Doing it every day for over a week last month tired my DH out and just like @Cakelaur my DH needed a little help which he didn't complain about either!
Good luck to you this month! X

littleemma1 · 28/06/2018 17:41

Congratulations @CobaltRose 💐 hope you have a sticky bean ❤️

HidCat · 28/06/2018 17:58

@Anyday88 I'm with you at 6dpo though I'm convinced I'm a day or two more than that. Going to resist the urge to join POAS Friday as even if I was 8dpo it's still too early lol.

Newbie21 · 28/06/2018 19:01

Congratulations @cobaltrose hope it all goes well. Keep us posted!

Boboelephant · 28/06/2018 19:30

@Cakelaur haha spider on the floor. That made my day. 😂🕷😂
@GPS76 yep that is my understanding. When you get a positive opk dtd that day and the next two. This is because you can ovulate up to 48 hours after positive opk. I'll prob start once my line gets pretty dark as I have a short 12 hour surge. Thankyou and good luck to you too!
@HidCat and @Anyday88 when do you think you'll test? Fx for you both!

dreaminofholidays · 28/06/2018 20:00

I am I think 8dpo... hating the tww. I am trying to be realistic about it as we dtd based on the fw on my app but that's all based off my guess work of a 35 day cycle so very unlikely we hit the jackpot.

What is cm? xx

Lilimum4 · 28/06/2018 20:14

@dreaminofholidays cm = cervical mucus there are different types throughout your cycle the one you most want is ewcm ( egg white cervical mucus )

Anyday88 · 28/06/2018 20:26

@Boboelephant I am trying to hold off until the earliest Wednesday. I have purposely not ordered any Frer as I know I can get them on amazon prime so will wait as long as I can haha! I do have a few of the cheapies left if I really can't hold out.

GPS76 · 28/06/2018 21:21

Thanks @Boboelephant , fingers crossed for you this month. I am going to try make it as less clinical as I can but we also used the fertility gel last month and it was a passion killer! X

Laney79 · 28/06/2018 21:36

Ah @Cakelaur so good to hear you're doing well-surely it's time too for a puppy pic? It's been ages since we saw the gorgeous wee beastie!

I'm looking at all your charts and wondering wether to start temping. I do have a thermometer but I've not started using it yet as I don't want to get too obsessive too quick. I'm only just onto the second proper cycle post MC...and I'm already doing opks. My other half doesn't deal well with pressure so if he sees me with thermometer too it might affect his performance if you get my meaning!

Thanks @Boboelephant - I'm wishing I could count sat as cd1 as if so I'd be ovulating during our posh hotel stay! But sense says your right it was prob mon! On that front it seems three heavy days and AF could be on her way-only had a tinge of spotting today!

Great lines @CobaltRose so pleased for you-gives me hope!!!

rdm10 · 28/06/2018 21:56

Hay ladies, sorry I’ve not posted for ages, work is crazy plus I spend all my time in the toilet checking for any bleeding. I do keep checking in on you all.
Baby dust all round x

HidCat · 29/06/2018 05:21

@Boboelephant I have an ic for Sunday and have ordered a couple of FRERs for next week. Had pink creamy Cm last night so feeling optimistic. How are you getting on?

@rdm10 nice to hear from you. How are you doing?

Is anyone testing today?

OP posts:
KnitKitty · 29/06/2018 07:17

rdm10 hugs I think I'd be exactly the same after BFP. Hope everything is going well apart from pregnancy anxiety. Glad to see you again! xxx

Cakelaur Love the announcement. :)

HidCat that could be promising, the pink CM. Hope it's implantation!

I think we must be nearly due thread 23 and a new role-call soon surely?

HidCat · 29/06/2018 07:38

@KnitKitty blimey! Almost 1000 already!

Seems to be miscarriage remembrance in my house this morning. Only 2 tabs left of my preconception vits so dug out my leftover pregnancy vits and then had a delivery from Boots parenting club - forgot to inform them about the MC and would be 34 weeks now so a Johnson's arrival gift. Weirdly didn't feel too sad, felt like it was fond memories.

OP posts:
strawberrye · 29/06/2018 07:43

@HidCat ooh pink cm, could be promising! Whereabouts in your cycle are you?

I'm itching to test but sitting on hands as I'm only 8DPO!

@cakelaur haha spider on the floor! Such a great description, I use that technique too Grin thanks for looking at my chart too!

@boboelephant I use the Clearblue advanced OPKs so I had "high" readings from CD7-CD13 then a "peak" reading on CD14, which is when I had my last EWCM too.
