We maxed out our last thread, so I've started another one for us!

Welcome, all those over 35 who are ttc number 1! Whether you're just starting out or you're an old-timer, come and chat with others who know what it's like to feel as though time is not on your side. When you feel like all your friends and family your age already have children and you need someone to moan to, we are here!

Hello all, I've been trying to keep up with the thread but haven't posted in a while.
@Blueberry1 great to hear it's all working out Smile
@SoozC- so exciting - all the best for a positive test Smile
Hello @Blondcat - I got AF about a month after I had mirena removed but not sure if it's the same with the pill- hope you get back in to a regular cycle soon
@coastalchick- it's so hard not to test all the time - my DH found my stash of tests- he was a bit surprised by the number of them!!
@Janefx40 and @PhoebeMouse enjoy your holidays
To anyone I've not mentioned - hello and all the best for this month
I'm a week in to the tww, not holding out much hope for this month - feeling less hopeful as each month passes. This is the first month I'm not feeling the need to test. Hoping there's still a little chance.
This month and last month I've not had sore boobs at all (they may still be coming next week) whereas usually I do - worrying that it might mean I'm not ovulating - had anyone had experience of this?

Cinnamonstoothbrush · 20/10/2017 12:18

@Blueberry1- get well soon- I didn't see that part of the post Blush

Blueberry1 · 20/10/2017 12:34

Harmony results came back - all low risk (1/10,000) Grin Grin Grin. DP & I both very pleased and now feel able to tell more people (up until now we'd both told our Mums & I'd told 2 friends). Now I dare feel a bit excited!

@Megimoo - I have always had an irregular cycle (typically 29-31 days), and when I started tracking my cycles, as well as having shorter cycles (27-28) than previously (including one of only 24 days!), I found my luteal phase was 11 days (a bit short) and that I ovulate anytime from day 11 to 18 (!). Fertility clinic said none of this would negatively impact on ability to conceive naturally.

@SoozC - if a BFP is on the cards, you'll still get a positive test if you wait til Sunday. What is your normal luteal phase? Are you late now or not? As I have short LP, DPO14 would always be late for me.

coastalchick · 20/10/2017 12:48

that's great news! @blueberry1 - what a relief!!!!

79andnotout · 20/10/2017 12:54

Fantastic news @Blueberry1! So pleased for you.

Janefx40 · 20/10/2017 14:18

@Blueberry1 yay! That's amazing news. So pleased for you. Yes - start enjoying it xx

SoozC · 20/10/2017 15:28

Yay @Blueberry1, for a good result!!!

Normal lp is 13 days.leading but the max I've had in the last 23 cycles is 17. I'm not sure but I think I'm 14 dpo today. BBT suggests ov on the Friday or Saturday two weeks ago but I can't be 100%.

Great news @Blueberry1 Grin
@SoozC I am so jealous of your willpower, even though I knew a test would be negative either way I took one the morning we came on holiday just in case it gave me info to definitely avoid any booze! I am a glutton for punishment! I’m out of my cheap tests now so might just not replace them then the problem is solved! I won’t use my remaining expensive one until I am more certain it will be good news!!

SoozC · 20/10/2017 15:54

TBH, @PhoebeMouse, it's less willpower and more resignation that af is coming. Apart from this cycle where I did test twice earlier this week, I haven't tested for months. There's no excitement anymore so I just wait for af as usual.

I do have a digital and a frer in my drawer though, just in case!

Fab news @Blueberry7, so happy for you!

@79andnotout so glad the therapy is proving helpful for you both.

@SoozC I too admire your resolve. I have cracked and tested early at least once in every cycle so far and then caused myself more disappointment when it was negative.

Determined to be good this time around, have got one early response test left so if by any chance AF hasn't come by Tues 31st (15dpo) I'm going to use it and if neg then at least I can drink at the halloween party I'm going to that night, silver linings and all that. 4dpo and counting!!!

Blondcat · 20/10/2017 18:31

@79notout I was on cerelle the cheaper replacement for cerezette I believe. I have been on some form of hormonal contraception for 22 years so guess it may take a while!

Thanks everyone for the welcome.

Blondcat · 20/10/2017 18:34

Sorry should have been @79andnotout miss typed Confused

SoozC · 20/10/2017 21:51

@DarkStar4855, good luck not testing! Fx for Hallowe'en!

I just got out of bed (DH not feeling well so it's an early night for us) to go to the loo and noticed a big blue vein on each breast. I am so not trying to read anything in to this. I'm trying to figure out if it's just a trick of the light but it was such a shock I swear they weren't there before.

If I get af after this cycle I am never symptom-spotting again - I've had almost everything going, apparently!

So... I think I'm pregnant?! I did a digital that says 'pregnant' but frer shows nothing and possible vvv faint line on a IC. But I've had the tests for a while, maybe the digital is faulty?

OP posts:
Spargle · 22/10/2017 08:35

Nope. Not faulty. They don’t do faulty like that. (They measure a hormone which is there or not there. If it is there, you are pregnant.)

Congratulations! 😁🍾

79andnotout · 22/10/2017 08:54

Whoop congrats @SoozC!!

Janefx40 · 22/10/2017 09:33

@SoozC congratulations. I'm so happy for you. After 23 cycles you really deserve your bfp. Yay. Keep us posted on all the deets but am so pleased and relieved. Xxx

Darkstar4855 · 22/10/2017 10:01

SoozC · 22/10/2017 10:12

Okay, I just did a CB digital, different brand, new packet, different urine sample... 1-2 weeks! Guess I'm going to have to start believing it, really a bit shocked now!!!
