@SoozC - just checked letter from clinic and they did find foetal pole at 7 week scan. Fertility clinic had calculated due date as 11 May, which made me exactly 7 weeks for 1st scan. However at 12 week scan (when I thought I was 11 weeks 5 days), baby was measured (more accurate dating method than others) and we were told I was 12 weeks & 4 days, so due date brought forward to 5 May. So 7 week scan had in fact been at 7 weeks 6 days, ie nearly 8 weeks! So if you are less advanced than you thought, the scan next week may reveal all is well. FINGERS CROSSED

Hopefulbunny · 13/11/2017 13:47

Hi ladies,

I was on the thread earlier but haven't posted for a while. Congratulations to soozc I hope all if going okay and the scan provides some reassurance.

Congrats to blueberry too!

Russkispy, you littleun is a cutie.

Not much happening here. I had my fibroid surgery in April and have now fully recovered it was open surgery so pretty major but all seems to be okay.

I have had day 3 and 21 bloods which showed I am ovulating but I have high prolactin so not sure if that is impacting on fertility.

Hope you are all doing okay.

Andromeida29 · 13/11/2017 16:08

Been to to doctors today and prescribed folic acid. Awaiting blood tests on Tuesday now to check for hormone levels. Finger's crossed all is OK. Wishing the rest of you all the best xxx

Janefx40 · 14/11/2017 23:13

Hi @Hopefulbunny. Glad you are recovery from the surgery. I don’t know much about prolactin but hope all works out well for you

@Andromeida29 how did the tests go? When you do get results?

@SoozC how are you feeling? Any change?

SoozC · 15/11/2017 10:00

Hi @Janefx40, bleeding and cramps have stopped so I'm hoping it was just a haematoma. But I still can't properly relax, don't really have many symptoms although I didn't have many to start with. Some days I'm convinced there'll be a fetal pole visible on Friday, other days I think the sac will be empty and I'll start bleeding again anytime soon. It's horrible waiting it out.

Janefx40 · 15/11/2017 17:46

@SoozC it must be awful...and we thought the 2WW was bad!!! Nothing you can do other than wait and hope. Am willing on that fetal pole...come on little bean. Keep us posted on what happens on Friday. Not long now. Fx

Xxx

Andromeida29 · 15/11/2017 23:04

Hi Janefx40, the tests are next Tuesday which apparently should be when I'm ovulating but things below seem to suggest otherwise. I'm confused.

Blueberry1 · 16/11/2017 00:25

@SoozC - I didn't have much in way of symptoms at start except sore boobs, which I initially thought was AF coming as didn't feel much different Confused. From week 6, I got a bit of nausea & fatigue and it got steadily worse from then on before clearing up around week 11-12. But every woman is different, so I wouldn't put too much store on symptoms/lack of.

Had 2nd midwife appointment this week. All was well; blood pressure fine, hospital blood tests came back fine & no UTI. I asked midwife if I had gained too much weight (3kg/6.5lb!) and she said no. I did check my BMI and even with extra kilos, it's still only 23 so I was probably being silly Blush.

Janefx40 · 16/11/2017 08:57

@Andromeida29 why what is confusing you?

I’m afraid I have my headache approaching. Wasn’t expecting it until tomorrow (still not doing OPKs so not quite sure of ov dates but suspected a slightly later ov). Just touched my temple and it’s there - must try to handle it better this month x

Melamine · 16/11/2017 10:49

Hey all, first time poster here. I’m 36, trying for a first, on Cycle #1 technically but currently two days late when I’m normally like clockwork. Tested today & nada! Probably just late because I’m thinking about it too much? So weird to have spent so long trying not to get knocked up only to find it’s not all that easy after all! 😂 All the women in my immediate family (Mum, aunts, grandma) had babies in their late 30s with no problems at all falling quickly, so all fingers & toes crossed. Good luck everyone!

PhoebeMouse · 16/11/2017 15:54

Welcome @Melamine and good luck!
I'm not sure what is going on with my cycle this time either, AF is due around today/tomorrow and I impatiently tested this morning and it was negative but today and yesterday I've been having pains around the sides kind of like ovulation pain - surely and am not suddenly ovulating on day 26? i don't think so.. i didn't use OPKs but all the usual signs were going on around the middle of my usual cycle length. So who knows what is going on in there!

Lots of luck for tomorrow @SoozC it sounds really positive that the bleeding and cramps have stopped. I hope all will go well and you can relax after tomorrow.

Composteleana · 16/11/2017 19:50

Hi everyone just checking in. Everything crossed for you tomorrow @SoozC

Still waiting for my phone appointment with doctor to find out what me having low testosterone means. Been doing opks for the first time and got high fertility today, day 16, so guess ovulation- or peak fertility as the ovulation kit puts it, will be in next day or two. Unfortunately DP is away tomorrow till Mon so I expect we’ll miss it but oh well.

Blondcat · 17/11/2017 08:03

Welcome @melamine

Fingers crossed for some good news for you today @SoozC

Melamine · 17/11/2017 10:09

Good luck @SoozC, fingers & toes crossed.

The witch got me this morning. First ever 31 day cycle, though read in anther thread that taking prenatal vits for the first time can delay you?! No idea.

Onwards & upwards!

Melamine · 17/11/2017 10:10

PS thanks for the welcomes, sorry!

PhoebeMouse · 17/11/2017 10:50

@Melamine that's so weird! but i guess makes sense as they're supposed to help calm down the changes in hormones when you come off the pill so perhaps they can do a bit of the opposite when you haven't changed anything else! I just started taking them at the same time as coming off the pill so can't compare, but my first AF came after 32 days and then things settled down over a few months to being around 26.

Janefx40 · 17/11/2017 12:45

@SoozC good luck good luck good luck xxx

SoozC · 17/11/2017 13:25

Scan confirmed I've miscarried. Thanks for all the positive vibes.
