Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

@justtheonethen !!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! What lovely news!

Welcome @HelloViroids !!!!

Fanks honey 😘 @Catscatsandmorecats

FuzzyOwl · 26/03/2018 22:14

Hello @Catscatsandmorecats how are you?

How is everything with you as well @Experiment627?

Welcome @HelloViroids and I have endometriosis and it took me almost four months/three cycles to conceive after I came off the pill (had been on it for 17 years). That pregnancy ended in a miscarriage but I conceived again after another three cycles. I’m also a sneaky OPK user.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

HelloViroids · 28/03/2018 00:20

Thanks so much Experiment and Fuzzy! Fuzzy so sorry for your loss Flowers but it gives me hope that you were able to conceive after only 4 months - fingers crossed things are quick for me!

Catscatsandmorecats · 31/03/2018 14:14

Hello @fuzzyowl :)

I'm okay, currently I have a sick bug DS1 brought home from nursery but still totally enjoying having my two boys. I really am proof that there can be light at the end of the tunnel.

@Helloviroids a good friend who struggles with endo had her second baby this week. I know it has an impact but it is not a write off either, hopefully the other lovely viroids on here will keep your spirits high and ease stresses.

@experiment627 hugs - I hope everything is ok with you

LG93 · 31/03/2018 22:24

Another pregnancy announcement today. So happy for my friend but had a little cry this evening. Can't bring myself to eat dinner either which is most unlike me although won't do my waistline any harm!! 🙄

Hope you're all well!!

AliceScarlett · 31/03/2018 22:28

Hello everyone. I dip in and out over the years. VERY pleased to see a kwicklet hanging in there 😃

Has anyone heard from Jamon?

I'm 6 days late with BFNs, driving myself insane.

AliceScarlett · 31/03/2018 22:28

Just!!! Huge congratulations, so pleased for you xxxxx

LG93 · 05/04/2018 15:09

AF arrived today. Work colleague announced she's pregnant. I really want to be happy for her but I can't bring myself to mean it when I say it 😞

Rach0110 · 05/04/2018 23:23

@HelloViroids I also have RV endo and have been off birth control since jan. have you had any surgery? I had my op to remove the endo in jan. good luck with the ttc everyone.

angelazul · 06/04/2018 18:53

Shit one @lg treat yourself & have a tipple (or 2 or 3) of you choice tonight

Experiment627 · 08/04/2018 07:32

@LG93 what a fucker! 🤬

@AliceScarlett I did not think Jamon was on this thread but if it is the same one, then I have met her in RL and she is lovely. Going through a tough time of it.

So I had my NHS scan and all well but got so distracted with having to empty bladder "a bit" so she could get a better view, that I forgot to ask questions and I did not get a report just a photo.
This past week (14 weeks) my 🤢 has almost gone so I got freaked out and paid for a reassurance scan. I am SO glad I did - got some lovely pictures of Kwicklet and she was extremely thorough. Think I will be going back there again!

Hope all viroids are having a good weekend! 😘

Catscatsandmorecats · 08/04/2018 09:39

@experiment627 I couldn't be happier for you, I was wondering how it all had gone.

@lg93 don't feel bad, you need to be kind to yourself, it's so hard.

angelazul · 08/04/2018 15:40

Fab news @experiment Grin Grin Grin

LG93 · 08/04/2018 20:18

So glad kwicklet is hanging in there and you've got some nice pictures.

Thanks cats - I feel a bit better after a weekend at home so ready to face her again on Monday now!

Thinking about trying acupuncture. I'm a scientist so not usually into 'woo' but it seems to have had good results for a number of people (although could be coincidence I guess!) And wondering if it's worth a try!

coribeth · 10/04/2018 20:04

@LG93 I tried acupuncture didn't work for me but it was an excellent bit of head space and very relaxing as she did a bit of reflexology as well found it really helpful even though I didn't get a bfp with it!!
@Experiment627 glad to hear everything is going well with kwicklet I have my pre op on and tests at fc next week slightly worried as am suffering from labyrinthitis at the moment so on stemetil hoping it's not going to mess things up Confused

coribeth · 18/04/2018 22:19

Well as predicted af is running late four days now but refuse to test as you can bet your bottom dollar the stemetil has mucked things up so in vain hope of invoking law of sod I have decided I will not test until cd40 which is day before I go on holiday and I have booked every not suitable for pregnancy activity you can think of while I'm away GrinHmm

coribeth · 18/04/2018 22:23

.... In other news pre op went well I'm officially allowed to have ivf despite being.... Medically awkward (think that's how the doc put it!) so just waiting on dates now! Shock

angelazul · 20/04/2018 08:07

@cori let's hope the law of sod is indeed invoked.

@lg93 I had acupuncture & really enjoyed it. Obvs it didn't help getting preggers (although we're officially mfi), but it helped to sort out my cycles (shorter cycles, pms, light periods, spotting & brown blood). And as cori said, it's a really good way to get some headspace.

Finally had appt at fc yesterday to get my amh results back. It's dropped to 6.4, so with that & the low no of eggs collected last time they're estimating a 10% success rate for another icsi cycle.

LG93 · 21/04/2018 21:27

Interesting to here angel - had my first session yesterday and felt really calm (but dizzy) after. Going to keep going as like you said if nothing else it'll do me good to have an hour or two of calm every week or so to take stock and recharge the batteries, even if the acupuncture doesn't do anything!

angelazul · 23/04/2018 21:39

@lg I felt really dizzy too after my 1st session, but it improved the more sessions I had or maybe I finally learned not to get so quickly lol Apparently it's because your heart rate & blood pressure decrease when you're having the treatment.

FuzzyOwl · 27/04/2018 22:46

@Experiment627 how are you and Kwicklet?

MimiDiddy · 30/04/2018 15:01

Hello viroids,

I'm returning to the JS fold after a bit of a break.

Name: MimiDiddy
Age: 38
DC: DS1 (1) and with 3 older sibling angels (if anyone knows a secular euphemism for RMC babies, please let me know)
Furbabies: None
TTC: Since April 2018

We've finally got DS to sleep in his own room for the whole night, I'm starting to get more than 6hrs sleep and these ovaries aren't getting any younger so we've finally started TTC again. So far we've managed 1 DTD and I'm already symptom spotting Confused. Fellow JS-ers, I need your no nonsense BS-free approach to this emotional rollercoaster that is trying to make a whole new little person.

Experiment627 · 02/05/2018 12:42

@fuzzyowl Kwicklet and I are doing well - 18 weeks today!!!
I saw the consultant on Monday as I am "high risk" - age, IVF, BMI, coccyx... take your pick! He was great - I got to hear the heartbeat again, as well as talk about birth options.

I am still not showing really - just look fat but I have been in maternity wear for weeks for comfort. Bloody hard to find maternity clothes - although I am finding ebay a God send.

This weekend I am going to try to really get stuck in with decluttering... I need to make room!!!!!

How are you doing?

LG93 · 02/05/2018 17:20

@experiment627 that news makes me so happy! Having a bit of a shit time at work currently so feeling a bit miserable but that's really put a smile on my face.

Enjoy decluttering and planning - are you going to find out the sex or not?

Experiment627 · 03/05/2018 07:41

@LG93 sorry to hear about shit time. Anything I can do to help?

I am not planning on finding out sex. Am compiling a list of names for both - am struggling a bit with boys names... what so you viroids think to:
"Great Uncle Bulgaria"?
