Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Just popping by to see how everyone is getting on.

Congratulations Choo and I really really hope this pregnancy goes smoothly for you. 🤞🏻

choochooo · 18/09/2017 06:56

Presh twice in an HOUR?! Bloody hell! ^High fives
^
Hi everyone! Alice I totally understand the bitterness. I lost my way for a while this year as it was so painful.

Kwick you're such a strong woman! Respect. You're not old enough to be my mother as you're only 6 years older than me but that did make me laugh.

Feathered!!! Hi! Lovely to have you back. I'm due 22nd may but after this year I don't really think bfp=baby anymore so it's just a date at the moment. Early sham booked 28th. Nhs are being really supportive which is great. RMC next week. How is she that old already!!?!

Hi all! What did you get up to over the weekend? We went to a farm park on sat and nature reserve yesterday. DS has a another fucking cold so js snotty.

OP posts:
kwick · 18/09/2017 08:20

I did not get up to much - went for my outdoor swim on Saturday morning, then went to IKEA, then rested up... had a headache most of the weekend and I had a couple of naps... feel better now but I know I will go down blackhole again if I do not see progress this evening with flat renovations...

Happy Monday everyone!

LG93 · 18/09/2017 11:50

Glad you've been having good weekends. I didn't do much other than eat lots of food while researching diets Blush did have a nice ride on my horse though for the first time in months thanks to my dodgy arm pain

Presh12345 · 18/09/2017 13:52

Choochooo, took me by surprise too!! So much so that i actually asked him if he had shot his load the first time!!! But he says he did....both times 🙈🙈

Presh12345 · 18/09/2017 13:53

And having a real dose of "hopeful fucker syndrome" today. Starving all the time, peeing all the time and mild tummy twinges.

NimbleKnitter · 18/09/2017 14:21

Can I join? I tried one month of opks, temping and conceive lube and it made me a shell of a person.

Confession - tried shagging a lot and it nearly broke the husband, so now have to pace it a bit more.

Age: 33
Ttc: 1
Cycle: 2
Dermoid cyst on left ovary, so it's a dud. All the heavy lifting being performed by right ovary (who is being a trooper)

Had watery cervical fluid on Friday, on last day of holiday. Managed two shags that day, but traveling Saturday so bugger all then, and just the one yesterday evening which was almost certainly too late.

Oh and I will never apologise for TMI cos quite frankly - it ain't

choochooo · 18/09/2017 14:43

Course you can nimble shuffles up to make room** hello! TMI doesn't apply in this group

Ooh I miss riding LG

OP posts:
choochooo · 18/09/2017 14:43

Oh ffs. I miss the old app!!!

OP posts:
FeatheredTail · 18/09/2017 19:50

Presh "hopeful fucker syndrome" Grin I'm there with you. When are you due to test?

Choo that's so great you're getting some quality support from the NHS. After what you've been through, I totally understands why you're treating 23 May as just another date....but I really hope it works out. Roll on the 28th.

Kwick where do you do your outdoor swim? I'm impressed, it's bloody cold all of a sudden.

Today I POAS at 7dpo. I don't even know why. I knew it wouldn't show a positive even if I'm pregnant. WHY? My early POAS compulsion is still strong. There is such a market for dummy pregnancy tests. Just for something to PO. Imagine, when you PO them it could reveal fortune cookie style advice such as DON'T PISS £8 AWAY, NOB HEAD and the like. Blush

Hi Nimble! Absolutely no TMI here from memory Wink

kwick · 18/09/2017 19:57

presh very impressed by your DH's prowess Grin

Welcome nimble!

feathered I swim at the Park Road Pool lido in North London. Pool is "heated" but seriously it is a massive pool and there are only very few "inlets". Apparently it will feel warmer as it gets colder Confused it is delicious once you have done a few lengths.
Oh dear! I understand the POAS compulsion - why not use an OPK until a bit later on?

choochooo · 18/09/2017 21:41

I poas at 6po with this one 😅

Idiot!

OP posts:
Rubberduckies · 18/09/2017 22:32

6dpo!? You daft woman! You obviously 'knew'.

Impressed with the outside swimming....I can't think of anything g much worse lol!

Presh12345 · 19/09/2017 03:50

Feather I'm due AF on 27th and don't do opk's so no idea when I ov'd. My fertile days were last Monday-Saturday DTD twice on 13th and once on 15th when my rating was a 10 and a 9 (according to ovia). So going on 13th and 15th, it's probably best to wait until AF is late? What do you think? Although im itching to do one now!
Kwick, that has only ever happened once before, when we first got together! 🙈

kwick · 19/09/2017 07:29

rubber as the water is cold and when you are back in the warmth it is extremely relaxing. I also feel smug and virtuous whilst doing my hour - which I am sure you will agree with me are both beautiful traits Grin

Still jealous presh! It has been at least 10 years since anyone non-medical/beautician got near my lady garden...

choochooo · 19/09/2017 10:58

What's your normal lp presh? Mine is 10/11 days so I normally get faint bfp at 10 days but I know people with normal cycles don't poas til 13-14dpo. If I'm doubt - wait! It's not worth the stress__ --and squinting

OP posts:
Presh12345 · 19/09/2017 12:36

Choochooo I think my lp average is 11 days. It says on my app that my last one was 13 but the average is 11. Maybe I need to look into this more!!🤔 I seem to just get into action when the CM appears!!

FeatheredTail · 19/09/2017 20:16

Presh I also currently have a short luteal phase and my cycle is only just creaking back into action due to BF. If you can hold off from testing until day 12-13 I think that's the way forward. Good on you for not using contraband, I'm an addict.

Choo did you get any kinda line at 6dpo?!

Kwick It's such a long time since I've felt smug about doing exercise, I miss it so much!

choochooo · 19/09/2017 20:23

Naw - earliest one ever was 10dpo. I usually have a line by 11.

OP posts:
Presh12345 · 20/09/2017 04:34

Ffs, up at 5 for work, poa fkn s , flooded the damn thing, was too early anyway as only DTD this day last week. *sigh

Canters15 · 20/09/2017 04:43

This popped up in active (I do occasionally lurk) and omg cats! Huge huge congrats, so pleased for you!

kwick I'm so sorry things haven't happened for you yet but so excited that you still have options- wishing you all the luck in the world over the next few months.

I'm hoping to be back on the Fred for reals later in the year...beautiful DS is now 10 months old and I'm broody as fuck again. Gulp.

honeysucklejasmine · 20/09/2017 05:23

Ah, I've also just seen this pop up on active! Memories!

Honey
31 (I think, I lose track)
DD 18 months, JSing baby who took 14 bloody cycles and a MC to make.
37 weeks (eep!) with #2 today, hence being awake at bloody 5am for no sodding reason.

Choo much love. Gx so hard for choobean.

Feathered round 2! Exciting!

Nova are you super sure it's a girl? I've got some brand new newborn bits going for cheap if so...

NovaArt3mis · 20/09/2017 05:45

honey, she sounded super sure but after what happened with you I've got the fear and have tried to go back to neutral-ish stuff just incase! Can I give you a shout in a month or so to see if you have any left? (P.S., there's a somewhat busy grads thread you should poke your head in)

honeysucklejasmine · 20/09/2017 05:51

Ah, I never thought I would be the type to be a cautionary tale! 😂😂

NovaArt3mis · 20/09/2017 05:54

I told DH and now when affectionately patting bump he says "hey little lady... maybe" Grin
